Old school in a good way. Taste of home cooking. Well prepared in an outdated but clean and well kept atmosphere. No complaints and I went in as soon as the open sign went up and they were ready for business. Great coffee. I give it a solid 3 stars. Meaning a 5 star probably wouldnt have been as good. Ratings are weird.
Hadnt been here in a while its still a great old style cafe coffee shop. good food pretty decent price all things considered the cost of everything now. wish I would have gone in the morning when it would have been more crowded and noisier. other than that to waitress was very nice efficient food was good had lunch with a couple friends to live in a Nob Hill area.
Absolutely loved this place. The food was the best ever. Its like a family environment there. The customer service was excellent and very helpful. Its easy to find with lots of parking. I would definitely reccomend going here. I loved their cinnamon coffee. I will definitely be going back. A big thank you to all of kaps workers for a excellent experience.

Just left this place with my family of seven, and boy was the service and food excellent!! Our waitress (wish I would of caught her name) was fantastic and as we make our way back to ohio, she by far was the best we have had our whole trip for the last week. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

I visited this place for the first time ever a few days ago. Its funny, I have driven past this place probably a million times and I had never been in there until a few days ago. I am glad I went in, the place was cute and quaint, the service was fantastic, and the food came quickly. They have really great variety of options for breakfast. The only problem I had was that the food was a bit on the bland side but otherwise everything was great!

Ive been going there for years. The employees are very friendly. They always check up on you. The atmosphere is great and the prices are reasonable. Its a local restaurant. Youre supporting the local business economy. We need more restaurants like this.

Six stars.Lucy up front and Jesus in the kitchen made our first meal out in a year a real joy. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was great. Aside from the masks (and the occasional blocked off table) it was as if 2020 had never happened. She listened to what we wanted and presented options rather than pushing sales. The carne adovada breakfast burrito with red sauce I had was just right, with that bite that hits you in the back of the throat. (And big--thats breakfast to go too) There was also a hint of cumin and it was a pleasure finding a bay leaf in there.My wife had the regular breakfast platter, and it was everything chain breakfast places pretend they sell, tasty and filling. May have been the first time, but it wont be the last.

Kaps is a very good clean and well run family restaurant. Good chili a must here in NM. Excellent coffee and tasty food makes it a must for my family. Sunday mornings are just not the same without the NM skillet Christmas style.

Good prices, filling portions, amazing friendly staff, coffee to die for, godly cinnamon rolls, amazing french toast, and so much more! I couldnt think of anything negative about this place even if I tried! The place is overall comfortable and homey in a way, its not often you find cozy little diners where you can enjoy breakfast, brunch, or even lunch. Food is delicious, you have to have their flavored cinnamon coffee if its still there, taste like liquid apple pie, so good. Love this place and will definitely be coming back again very soon for breakfast!

My party and I had the BLT with fries which was excellent, however, do not order the Greek salad. It is a large pile of chopped iceberg lettuce for $8, it should have been romaine lettuce and greens. Besides the salad everything else was very good! I will happily fo back. Thanks

Great old style coffee shop. Good food, endless cups of coffee. Especially good is their cinnamon flavored coffee. Most of their waitresses are friendly and efficient, however we happened to get one with an attitude today. But dont let that stop you from trying this great place!

What can I say about Kaps?? I love this place!! Ive been here several times over the past few years and I have never had a mediocre experience. Every time I come here I have great coffee, great food and great service. I am a breakfast person and I usually judge restaurants on their breakfast fare, especially if Im eating in a diner. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a connoisseur of pancakes. Having said that, I believe Kaps is in the top five for pancakes in New Mexico. And I do not say that statement lightly. Top that off with the cinnamon coffee that they offer and I am in heaven. The eggs hash browns sausage and bacon are just like everywhere else but it is the pancakes and coffee and service that takes them to another level.
Great service, great prices, and the chicken fried steak is excellent. They have a very good kids menu, too. Love this place, hope it stays around forever.

Kaps is a location filmed in Breaking Bad. The people here are friendly with very prompt service. The menu is mostly breakfast items and you cannot go wrong. Coffee is hot and the choices are flavorful. Parking behind the building off from Alvaredo Ave is ample. The slots marked does not feel tight yet I feel the parking area should be repaved with new parking lines. If you are looking for friendly and quaint service and atmosphere then I think Kaps will satisfy you
Awesome, I love this place. Its a good ol diner with some good food. These folks know how to treat you like family. They greet you quickly, get ya sat down and all & take your order at your pace.They have a giant cinnamon roll that is so good with cream cheese icing, not just that watered down sugar stuff. Serving sizes are good. The meals are filling for most everyone. If you need that 7-8 calorie meal, my friend you need someplace or just order several dishes....variety is the spice of life. 😉Come sit at the counter for a bit, have some coffee, a roll, chat with everyone and maybe even read the paper while there. Youll be glad you did.Ive had the French toast, Kaps special potatoes & meat, chicken fried chicken, waffles, hand held burrito and of course a few of those cinnamon rolls! They have all been hot, fresh & TASTY!!!I cant wait to go back.

Come here with my wife for awhile now and we both absolutely love this place. Always friendly and a real joyful place to have breakfast lunch or dinner which ever you prefer. Owner is a really nice guy as well very polite and always smiles. Definitely should bring your family and friends.

As I walked in I was greeted by a woman with a very large smile. She was genuinely happy and very unlike any restaurants here in town that I even thanked her for that at the end of my meal. The menu has awesome selection and I was happy with what I chose. The service was attentive and speedy. My first time going and look forward to going again.

Absolutely love this place. Jerry does a great job interacting with his staff and customers. My boyfriend and I have never had a bad experience here. Its definitely our go to spot for a really delicious and quick meal. If you havent had their chile you really need to try it!!!
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Its in a slightly ghetto part of town so I wasnt expecting much, but the decor is cute and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the cinnamon rolls!

The food was amazing but the service left much to be desired. I honestly thought about giving them a lower rating because of our waitress but the manager was very good. He was friendly and very appreciative of our business. Id go again if I was in Albuquerque, especially for breakfast.
