My wife and I had been considering such a door for several years to provide additional light and fresh air, additional security, and increase the resale value of our home. When we contacted Barnett Alden, Liz was courteous and kept us informed of what to expect throughout the process of having our door made. Don helped us with the design aspects of our door and came to our home to measure and answer any remaining questions we had. Then, we were provided with a schematic representation of what our design looked like to ensure our satisfaction. The fabricators of our door were absolutely incredible in their craftsmanship and the detail they were able to achieve in our design. Finally; installers John and Leroy courteously and expertly installed the door to ensure that it functioned flawlessly and exactly as we hoped it would.So; as far as we are concerned, we could not be happier with the money we invested in our security screen door. The quality of materials, the attention to details related to craftsmanship, the precision of installation, and the customer service we received from Barnett Aldon Ironworks have exceeded our expectations. We chose this company to design and install iron gates at our new home. They were prompt to send out a salesperson for a consultation. Our salesperson Kyle, was creative artistic and made himself available for any questions along the way. They have many designs and colors to choose from. I had called several places in town trying to get a fire release latch on a bedroom window with no luck. When I called Barnett Aldon, they scheduled the estimator to come over in about a week and give me a quote. When he arrived there at 1:15 pm (and he was waiting for me when I got there) he said that he could probably get it done that day instead of waiting any longer. By 5 pm the job was finished and ready to go. This was great and very unexpected! Id highly recommend them to anyone looking for new security bars or service on existing bars.

Barnett Aldon made 3 screen doors for me 12 years ago. The design is great and they still work fine. I needed a door closer fixed and the owner himself came by and fixed it for no charge and gave me good advice to keep them functions perfectly. If I ever need more ironwork I would go to these people.

Very pleased with doing business with this company. Had a security/storm door and security bars for a patio sliding door done a few years ago by this company. Was very pleased. Wanted security bars for the windows but the sales rep advised to wait until we replaced the windows. Finally replace the windows this year (2020) and had the bars done for the windows. Like the looks. The installer were quick and very polite and professional. I could tell they they had high standards and wouldnt settle for less than perfect. (Like they were doing the job on the bosss house.) The office staff I interacted with were outstanding. Hats off to Liz and Samantha who are assets to the business and were very accommodating making this a pleasant and smooth project. My sales rep was Don Best and I highly recommend his honest estimate. We had a side gate and entry gate made by Barnett Aldon and could not be happier. The side gate was a custom design and because of their plasma cutter, they were able to exactly duplicate the design. The end result was a beautiful gate. Our entry gate was a floor design and fit our home perfectly. They also showed up when scheduled and were competitively priced. We had railings added to the front of our home on our steps and the match of the paint is very close to our home and the quality of the work and installation is excellent. I had been hesitant to have bars placed on my windows until being robbed. Was familiar with the name Barnett because my dad was a contractor and used them in the 60s and 70s. When Don came out and helped me with the design and taught me a great deal about escape and codes I was so happy to make the decision to have them installed. High quality work and service. I was unimpressed with the other ironwork vendors I contacted. We had a relatively small job of placing four half-window security bars. BA was able to give us exactly what we wanted in terms of color and design. They look wonderful and actually enhance the appearance of the house. They are more pricey than the competition, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Had an ornamental iron fence installed with a sliding car gate. BA stuck with the quote and Joe the installer did an amazing job and was easy to work with. Highly recommended!

We are not big fans of being a prisoners in our own house. However, with a recent marked increase in crime in our once peaceful neighborhood we decided to get the bars. Instead of hyper-vigilantly sleeping with one eye open, loaded weapons and plenty of ammo at the ready, we sleep peacefully through the night. Last week the police, firetruck, and ambulance arrived to a nearby house in the middle of the night. We just buried our ears in the pillows and went back to sleep without any concerns.Having taken care of our dads as they aged we are aware that we will not be able to defend ourselves so easily as in our younger years. Actually we would rather not even be in that position. So after some research and due diligence we chose Barnett Aldon Ironworks. They were not the least expensive company, but having been a steel worker many years ago I appreciate excellent welds, good fit-ups, and electrostatically applied powder coating paint. However, the clincher for us was the sun-rise design that eliminates a lot of the bars look. In other words, they look great!The installation was smooth and professional. The fit was excellent. Function is easy to live with. We paid a little more, but we are very happy and sleep so much better.

We had a Barnett Aldon door installed in the kitchen area in October of 2016. The installation crew were courteous and professional. The door was installed with a house key dead bolt and a nice brass lever door handle. They kept the schedule as promised and left no mess . The door has worked flawlessly and easily and now we can enjoy even more fresh air in the summer and be secure at the same time.

My alarm system kept the loss to a minimum, but after it, I realized I wasn’t safe in my own home anymore.Called Barnett Aldon. They had built a super backyard/garage door for me several years earlier. They were all business—did the job well, on time, at the quoted price without drama or issues. I called them again.But, let me tell you, the wrought iron designed for the rest of home is no ordinary security- barred arrangement. IT IS ART, beautiful from the inside looking out and from the outside looking in. It is clearly the work of employees who take pride in their work and who are experts at it.The design for my home is lovely, the challenge was adapting it to 6 different shaped openings. They did it so that each window is lovely in itself. My iron is powder-coated in a beautiful textured bronze. They removed my old front and back gates and powder-coated them to match. The installers reinstalled the old gates and made the front gate work better than it had in years. That’s the kind of professionalism you can expect from Barnett Aldon.The employees care about the quality of their work. From the owner of the company to the fabricator of my wrought iron, to the staff who removed my gates, to the installers who made everything work perfectly, each knew exactly what they were doing and did it expertly!I can’t recommend Barnett Aldon Ironworks highly enough. Unprofessional experience. I received an estimate for some security bars and asked if their prices were competitive. I was given a lecture on how quality products are going to be more expensive, which is reasonable to a degree. I look quite a bit younger than I am and maybe he didnt take me seriously, but I was supposed to get an email and didnt get that and when I tried contacting him I never got a response back either.

Estimate appointment was on time and Barnett Aldon technicians were professional and installation went smoothly. The security bars for the windows were exactly what we had ordered and they look great on the house.

After our old 14’ wide gate on wooden posts began to fall and I tweaked my shoulder, then smashed my fingers in it, I’d had enough!An entry gate is an investment, so we were quite nervous. We spoke to several gate builders in Albuquerque and in the Jemez and settled on Barnett Alden Ironworks and we are so happy we did!Living in the mountains over an hour from town definitely makes projects like this daunting and we have never NEVER in 16 years had an estimator call when they are going to be ten minutes late (it was more like five), much less actually show up early for the actual labor days. Don and his team not only took our ideas and created a solid yet beautiful gate that in 24 hours we have received lots compliments on, but everyone was super friendly & communicative. They came out in two phases for the install: first to remove our old 14’ wide drive through gate and the attached walk-through gate and then set the posts. They returned a week later after the post were set to install the now 18’ wide double swing gates made from raw steel featuring a beautiful scene of the Jemez. I found them to be professional and dependable at each phase and even when a piece of heavy equipment broke and they had to wait over two hours for a replacement to come, they didn’t advantage of the situation take a long break like most, but immediately & happily put their backs into it and dug the HUGE post holes in the hard rocky clay by hand.As far as pricing, I found them to be competitive and very fair, especially given the distance to drive here. A more local installer quoted almost the same price but sight unseen with no discussion about design or removal of the old gate and no time commitment. I’ve learned from past experience those quotes never stick or the job doesn’t get completed in a timely manner.If you have a need for a gate or door in the greater Albuquerque area and even (especially) in the Jemez, I highly recommend them!

I wanted a new screen door that was not only attractive, but also accentuated my wooden front door. I am grateful to Barnett Aldon for being incredibly accomodating to my needs. The door they created was custom built to my exact and complicated specifications, and was absolutely beautiful.

I had two custom storm doors done for my home, but was disappointed with the customer service I had with Barnett Aldon Ironworks. After a couple of months the door knobs were not working well and so I called them up and ask to change out the knobs, but they told me they would have to charge me the full price for two door knobs and plus the service call and labor for installing the knobs, which came out to over 500dollars more, I had ask them what about the warrunty that came with the install and order. They gave me a story that I want ed to change the knobs, and that was not included in the warranty.Ok, I paid for that, then the pnuematic pumps began to give out and it was very dangours with small kids, because the pumps would not hold the control of the doors, they are very heavy. I have had to go else where toget better phuematic door closeurs. I am very disappointed with this company and I hope no one else has the miss fortune to deal with these issues and this company.

Bought doors from them 14 years ago. The doors now need repairs. Called the company 3 times, sent photos to their web site, got no responses! Very disappointed!!
