Im punching this in while my mouth is challenged with a much welcomed stinging sensation of a sauce I purchased during my visit. The cashier was extraordinarily kind and very much helpfully informative. There is a broad inventory of sauces their assortment that I have never found anywhere else. Also, spread across the shop, an interestingly unique array of items perfect for gifting to those deserving persons in your lives. This is a local business that deserves the support of the community. It speaks of our New Mexican cultural at intensely fiery volumes, without need of words. There isnt a rating of gold stars sufficient enough to express the magnitude of quality and services delivered by this spectacular treasure of a business. I will be back!
Chile Addict is a virtual wonderland for all things chile-related. The selection of food products will have chileheads feeling that this is nirvana. The decor and clothing options are amazing. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
Love it, i come back to this place everytime I am in Albuquerque.
My daughter and I had so much fun! There are so many cool gift ideas and just about every hot sauces ever made!
Great little shop with all types of chiles and chile powders. They also carry specialty coffees (the sign on the building says “Chile Addict / Coffee Addict), the coffee is tucked way in the back. The lady who was working was very friendly and helpful. Pointed out exactly where the Chimayo chile powder was located. This is why I stopped in - to get the Chimayo.Would definitely visit again.
I love the Chili Addict, if youre looking for New Mexico products this is absolutely the place to go. It might be a little off the beaten path for you but theres a lot of products to browse and buy.
I cant remember the last time I had such a bad experience TRYING TO DO BUSINESS with a store - online or offline. Apparently you have to be able to walk in before theyll take your money for their products. Their website is not secure, but they dont have a problem if you want to order through it anyway - and theyll tell you to use it knowing you could risk identity theft. You can send multiple emails and theyll tell you they might not check them any time soon (and they dont). You can make multiple phone calls and if they answer and you want to pay over the phone to have an order shipped, you have to send them another email with what you want - which they ignore. They say theyll call you for credit card info after getting your email - that they never open. I assume they pay rent, electric, maybe gas or water and they might have employees or be run by the owner. That usually means bills to pay - operating costs - so getting new customers should be critically important. But it amazes me that The Chile Addict will literally ignore getting new raving fans as a customers who can send them referrals and buy over and over. They just dont seem to care. Is there a line out the door and around the block making them so busy they cant fulfill shipping orders?!? I assume theyd be smart enough to hire another person at that point. They could probably do at least 25-30% more in business if they took it more seriously - AT LEAST. If I could give them no stars I would - because THEY WONT LET ME DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! Jeeeez. Have you ever seen something as insane as this?!? Apparently they have quite a selection and if I could find what I want elsewhere, Id have done that long ago. Might as well just take down the website so you eliminate the risk of messing up peoples computers and credit cards with an unsecure site. VERY DISSAPPOINTED. Can you tell?
Great gifts, friendly people!
Great selection of hot sauce! Friendly staff. Will shop again there soon! Their Piñon coffee blends are very tasty as well!
Amazing place for chile lovers. I love their Four Pepper Thermonuclear Meltdown Sauce and try to buy as many as I can when I get the chance, but that is on rare occasions since I live in Sweden. What happened to the web site? Seems to be offline..
Great variety and value for a plethora of New Mexico products and more. A store once inside, one might think you are in a old town shop. Must go
This is the place to go if you want to pick up some NM souvenirs! And ANYTHING with chile. Was telling my sister I wanted some green chile powder and we just happened to be driving by at that moment so we stopped in. I got my green chile and sister picked up some ghost pepper wing sauce. They had chile flavored everything as well as typical souvenirs like wind chimes, magnets, fashion jewelry and other thing-a-ma-jigs. Check it out if youre looking for something from the Land of Enchantment🌞
This place had some awesome unique gifts and goodies! Great place!
A hidden gem in the city. Perfect for finding gifts. Overwhelming selection.
One of the best shops I visited on my vacation! Great customer service
Found what I was looking for on-line. Their delivery was extremely fast, the box was well packed, and the items where in perfect condition. If you need anything shipped, I highly recommend them!
Fantastic place.
We looked for the hottest Chile in the would. We found it. Right here in our hometown Albuquerque. You name it they have it. Its a great place for a one stop Chile stop. Hottest to the not so hot with great flavor of each sides of the spectrum.I will be a regular customers
So many wonderful items to buy!!
The sauce I wanted wasnt on the shelf but the lady behind the counter (didnt get her name) was sure they had some so she spent about 15 minutes looking for it for me. And she found it even after I said I would happily get another sauce and come back for the one I originally went in for. Amazing selection and outstanding service!
You can spend hours in this store! Largest collection of spicy items Ive EVER seen in one location. The labels alone are a journey through visual and conceptual variety ranging from austere to comical, artistic, raunchy to clear across the spectrum to one discreet, out of childrens reach, x-rated shelf full of hot goodies. A must for all true chili heads.
Its like shopping in a hoarders basement. Unorganized and too much stuff for the tiny space
Beautiful store with beautiful people! Their Salsas are very tasty, coffee flavors are fun and yummy and their random little sugary treats are great to snag for a sweet tooth snack. Not the mention store is so cute and has so much character!
WOW !!! Chili products I bought the Chile brittle taste very good.
So much unique stuff
This place is very neat. Theres pottery, decorations and just about anything you can think of with chili peppers. It is worth checking out because theres a ton that you can buy.
I love going to this store! There are so many great products! The people there are always amazing and nice!!
Great selection of spices and hot sauces. Great to give as souvenirs for those that arent from the area. Or, if youre like us and you just love spicy food, its a great place to get unique sauces and spices.
Love this store, not your regular tourist gift shop because it has a LOT of affordable unique gift ideas. Great food too. Ristras galore and many many hot sauce choices and a vast jewelry selection! Very affordable.
Chile Addict is a store with an eclectic selection of New Mexico gifts, coffee, and foods including various forms of red and green Chile - obviously! Stop by and check out their selection.
Great place to buy NM souvenirs at good prices. You can find the same items in Old Town for a higher price, but why would you want to?
Going to tell people about this store
Friendly, fun place. Great selection!
Great place for chili supplies . They even have carolina reapers, ghost peppers, trinity scorpions like they got good stuff and decent prices on everything too. Anything u need chili bam place to go.the lady that I think owns it is super nice and helpful too I enjoyed chatting with her very much.
Worst place to order from online they dont keep there word and lie to you every time you call. I order a xmas box and the order never went out this is the6 time they were dishonest to me .so I started to go to Chile terdistion never aga6i Ill buy anything from chile Chile addict
If you love chile products this is the store for you.
Even though the products were dusty and poorly organized this place does have a great selection of products. However the customer service is horrible, I walked around for a couple minutes, found 1 of the 2 things I was looking for then waited for 10 minutes for the person behind the counter to get off phone and when she didnt I walked over to her (I was by the register). I stood there for about a minute or two, the person on the phone looked at me but never said a word to me so I left everything I was going to buy on the counter and walked out. It would have been nice to have gotten a some kind of response like I will be right with you or she could have just taken the cash from me and gave me my change without having to end her phone call either way I will not be going back to this store.
This place is great if your looking for an eclectic junk filled place for souvenirs and Chile items. The place is Jam Packed with all types of things, ...Chile, Chile jelly, jewelry, nic knacks, coffee nuts, just stuff. Look when you go to all other souvenir shops and cannot find anything come here,
Chile Addict has most remarkable selection of chiles, salsas and hot sauces. Prices fair. Owner Francesca is very kind.
Love this place! Great for sharing NM culture with friends and family out of state.
Absolutely lovely place with a huge array of products. Something for everyone here!
Love the lady there. Send things back to my family in MO.
Good place to buy souvenirs, NM gifts etc. The place could use some serious tidying up though. Papers stacked everywhere.
Amazing selection of hot sauces and the woman running the counter was very pleasant.
Very unusual place. Well worth a visit
Cute place and friendly service
Such an amazing store for all real chile fans, and fans of fun eclectic things too. Very friendly service.
If your in Albuquerque great place to visit
The owner is a horrible person hired my friend to paint her logos on the store and then refused to pay him. She insulted him and his work. Saying she wouldnt pay because hes ugly and so is his painting. The painting which consisted of HER OWN STORE LOGOS. shameful business that doesnt deserve support.
Needless to say if your looking for something that will burn a hole right through you this is the place to go! Very good selection
Great gift shop with chili and pinion coffee
Terrible, rude service. Some decent products - but most of the store is junky and filthy. Saleswoman has terrible attitude. There are much better places to buy salsa and chile memorabilia in Albuquerque.
Service is outstanding, food was delicious definitely a must for the New Mexican food only place in LV
Great store and great product!
My experience was a positive one. Staff person was very helpful and explained the difference between New Mexico Piñon Coffee brand and Chile Addict’s Coffee Addict brand. Apparently, the former uses flavoring more than real piñon nuts. As explained on the NM Piñon Coffee website this is due to issues with nut allergies and the fluctuations of piñon supply, so they use flavoring to make it more consistent. The staff at Chile Addict said their coffee used more actual piñons in their formula. The store itself couldn’t be more stocked, which sometimes feels a bit overwhelming. However it’s well stocked with many varieties of jarred salsas and other NM goods, such as mugs and t-shirts. I suppose it would be difficult to sample all the salsas, but perhaps it would be nice for the shop to have some open samples of some. They also have jams and peanut brittle with red or green chile. Of course it’s a good place for souvenirs.
This is my go-to gift shop for everything New Mexico. Though it is in a pretty sketchy part of town and the store is a bit chaotic, the visit is well with it! They have everything from hot sauces and salsas to Piñon coffee and chile ristra lights. Plus the best part is that their prices are nowhere near the gauging you will get at old town Abq or up in Santa Fe. If you are visiting, this is a definite spot to drop by and pick up your tourist stuff (and necessities for New Mexian expats abroad).
She was helpful in finding requests
Old time curio store, bought pinon coffee
Awesome selections!
Neat place to visit. Lots of goodies!
Nice people but some of the food products are out of date and still being sold
So many hot sauces and other items
Neat store lots of stuff
Coffees, chile porducts and food, T shirts and a whole lot more...tell Fran that Carol sent you...
Large selection of chili themed products, store very crowded with so much stuff it can be hard to find things so ask
Very interesting present ideas.
Horrible Customer service. You get ignored 99% of the time your there. When you finally get someones attention, they give you an attitude. I just ended up walking out.
Terrible service. Very very rude. I asked how much pinon was, she says, I dont know. How do you not know when you work there. I will take my money elsewhere.
Loved it! Great stuff!
Owner over charged me today! She appears to be drunk.
Love this store and Fran
