I was very disappointed in the chili I got from here last year. The Chili may have been fine but the people roasting didn’t roast, they baked it. Flames were too low that it baked. I had the hardest time pealing it, it would disintegrate in my hand. I practically lost the four sacks of chili that I bought it all went to waste, I will not continue going to this place because I drive from Arizona down to New Mexico every year for Chili I will look for another place again very disappointed on the young men that were roasting the chili.

The Chile Konnection is a super awesome store to find the best Chili, and most unique items. I had the pleasure of meeting Socorro, one of the owners, and she was the nicest person ever! I plan on going back for my chili needs, and much more!

We drove from Idaho to get the best hatch chilies in New Mexico. The people were so amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. If youre looking for a great experience and amazing chilies, this is the place to go!

Dont bother. This is the second year Ive been sold blighted chile. Last year, I thought it was because I bought it in October. however Chile should not rot. it just simply turns red. Save your money

Rude! I called to see if they were open and was told the inside store was closing in 30 mins but they would still be outside and I could still buy peppers. I drove up with 10 mins to spare! I walked up to buy the peppers and ALL the employees disappeared! I stood there waiting to be helped and no one came! I will not go back!

Nice old fashioned produce stand, with huge selection of chiles. They will roast your selection for you or you can buy them fresh, or even frozen. Run by very nice people. A mom and pop kind of place (or more likely a mom and son kind of place). Cash only—no plastic here!

Best place in Albuquerque to buy green chile and have it roasted. They sell Hatch or Lemitar chile. The price is right, the people are nice, friendly and helpful. And the chile tastes amazing! I usually buy 2 sacks a year, but this year Ill buy 3.

Great selection of chiles all the way to XXXHOT....i stocked up on quart bags of pre-roasted chile for a better price than at many venues, such as Downtown Growers Market. Other produce items and Chile-based seasonings also available. Always a friendly, helpful atmosphere. If you are going to stock your freezer for the winter, frozen bags of roasted chiles are also available for the same price as the freshly roasted.

Best roasted green chile

I was looking for New Mexico chile late in the season, and couldnt find any. I googled NM Chile and Chile Konnection came up, so we went. The family was great, and we left with roasted and raw chile. This is my place, now, for chile season.

The owner started selling chili out of the back of his truck. Today he gives you good chili and great service and even better prices.

The day I went these folks were roasting Hatch on site, and the smell was divine. Green chile was $1/lb. They have all manner of fresh chiles for sale at good prices. BUT....the really great deal was on their DRIED Hatch chile powders - $5 for a huge zip-lock bag.On a personal note to the owners, thanks for letting me weigh my bags of Piñon wood on your scale....I got both bags back to Texas as checked luggage ;-)
