Do not special order from this company. We had a terrible experience ordering a hot tub cover. First they told us they would order the cover for a certain price and they would not charge shipping if we were not in a hurry, they would place the order when they put their next hot tub order in if we gave them our credit card number. We agreed to this in April of 2019. Month or so went by and we called to see if the order had been placed No one knew anything. Asked if owner would call back Never heard anything. This goes on until end of July and all of a sudden there is a charge on our credit card for a higher charge then what was agreed upon and no one called to tell us that the cover was in. We called to find out what was going on and he told us that he never agreed to any of the above details and if he order the wrong cover it was our problem because he does not take returns on special orders. So maybe we are the dumb ones for trusting what we had thought was a honest businessman. Jokes on us. So BEWARE of Douglas County Lumber.

I have been doing Business (Both sales and service) with Les at DCL for over 20 years and have have had nothing but Good, Honest and efficient service!! Les always takes my call and has an answer for my concerns. I have referred many people to Les and DCL and they always take good care of people.

Great place, and great tubs. Enjoyable experience

Had my hot tub winterized last November by Douglas County Lumber and filled it the first part of March, When applying power nothing happened the jets and the heater didnt work I called them and was told they couldnt come until Monday the next week, I took the panels off and took a hair dryer and applied heat to the motors and pumps and warmed every thing then applied power again, One of the motors and pumps started working spewing ice out one of the jets but the other motor that supplies the heater still wasnt working, Monday I called and explained what I had done and told them that I thought it had froze up, They said someone would be out in the afternoon but I would first have to give them a credit card I refused, They left me with the idea that someone would be out to look at it that afternoon, Later I called and talked to the owner about when they would be out, He told me he didnt know just to busy, No one came so I called the next morning and was told they would not accept any liability because there were to many variables and would not send a repairman until they had a credit card, I just wanted to know what was wrong and if it was not the fault of freezing up I would certainly pay, Again they refused!
