Glennis in the print and marketing department is an angel. She helped me with my wedding menus and a few other items. She is patient and kind. I appreciate all her help and great customer service π

Staples - Potomac Yards - Alexandria VA. Credit card was charged for an online order of a Lenovo PC. We didnt make the order. We disputed the charge immediately. Staples claims the charge is valid since someone picked up the order - so the credit card company wont consider it a fraud charge. Staples refuses to provide any evidence that they followed their process of checking IDs, or that they even did a check with that store. They have told us our only course of action is to contact the police (which we had already done) or to take them to court. Zero help, zero empathy, zero consideration for the consumer.
The individuals who work here all need to be unemployed! I walk in to see someone putting up Christmas cards and Christmas items so I ask about Christmas lights and the lady doing the set up gives me a nasty attitude about not selling lights. Then I fax and go to the counter to pay and no one acknowledges me while witnessing 2 employees behind the counter talking to each other and looking at the line. I then go to checkout and an employee picks up candy and gets in line behind me. Yet, another employees presumes to check her out before me! Iβll drive elsewhere to avoid coming back here. They should close this store ASAP and not rehire any of these individuals. 10/11/21 at 2:50pm for whoever cares from management to check the timesheet of workers!
In the past I would come to this Staples and the lady who works in the printing department would do a wonderful. However the last three times Ive been here she has had a VERY nasty attitude. Not at all pleasant to work with. Ive gotten work done twice and when I have returned she has forgotten to do the work or she has done it wrong. Its extremely disappointing because I drive from MD to get her to do work because she was so good at first.

Well-organized, but as with any other supply store shopping, you have to browse and pay attention to what youre picking because of the multiple options to choose from. I needed a directory in here, but I found what I needed. Eventually. Exchange process was simple, thankfully. I hate shopping so take my review with a grain of salt.
I dont write too many reviews, but I must write this, because when you have a great experience, you want to tell the world. I love this Staples because of the manager there-his name is Happy. Go figure! I own two businesses and I am always amazed when I come across people who truly care. Happy has been so helpful for both of my businesses! We have a Staples right down the street from our house that would be more convenient, but we go to this one because of him. Hes been patient, helpful, and knows exactly what to recommend for my business needs. We are always taken care of. Thanks Staples-its so nice to have a reliable business supporting our business! And huge thank you to Happy!!
When Choosing Goes Wrong...Its taken me quit a bit of time to wrap my mind around the way I was treated on August 1, 2020, during my second visit made to this location in one day.I was with a Customer Service Rep who was helping me decide on a printer. A woman of another hue walked up, interjected our conversation, shared her need and he said to me, Ill be right back. Amazed, offended, and appalled, I kept looking around. He returned as if nothing happened. He then got the manager to assist me. The Manager, Happy, was short and seemed to be in a hurry. I opted to purchase ink for my current printer. Got to the register and the Cashier I had earlier was there. The woman who cut into my printer search was checking out. She and the Cashier were laughing and smiling then she walked out. The man in front of me went to check out, but the register was stuck. The Cashier called the Manager, Happy. He came to trouble shoot and discovered the woman had not paid for her $200.00 worth of merchandise. And she didnt enter a rewards number so they had no way of tracking her.I was checked out on another register. The Cashier was adamant about me entering my rewards number. I had no issue with that, and I told her she shouldve been more persistent with the Customer who stifed them for $200.00. I shared my frustration with the Rep who left me hanging to help that same Customer. She apologized.Upon leaving, the Manager tried being kind and apologizing. I told him: Keep the apology because Im NEVER coming back to this location!In all my years of life, Id never been disregarded like I was at this location on the 1st of August 2020.
My only positive is that the two associates I saw upon entering the store greeted me and seemed friendly. I will say that the associate at the print center gave overly complicated instructions to the younger girl that came in after me, advising her to upload what she needed to print to the Staples app and then enter the code when she logged onto the PC. The poor thing was still struggling with navigating the app login when I was done. Iβm sure that method is promoted amongst the company, but that was needlessly complicated fo someone asking to print something and a line was forming.I was there because I needed to print some documents to start new job. Although the PC states that youβre not being charged during the loading start time, even afterward the lag time is unacceptable. I had three emails queued in my inbox prior to leaving the house to expedite this, two emails to print, and three PDF files. I had to go through extra security steps to verify my gmail via my phone, which I understand, but the entire process from PC login start and to log off was 7 minutes plus. That was almost all lag. The kicker: The entire cost was $22 for time and to print 20 roller smudged pages. That should be a crime. Print defaults to color if there is any color in the document, which in my speed due to being on a timer and frustration in lag so I was over-clicking presumptuously, I didnβt notice. One of my PDF files was 9 pages and the first page had a small blue company logo, so it defaulted to print the entire document as color. Next time Iβm going to a UPS Store.
Website store recoding needs to be updated to reflect what you have on your door. Store door says open 9:00 to 9:00 on Saturdays youre recording as well as your website says 8:00 to 9:00. Update your information dont waste peoples time.
I love this Staples for the sole reason that it exists near a Target. While my family shops, I can run over and get my annual paper calendar. The store is huge and well stocked!
Mickey(?), who is head of tech support, is great. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Ive been in there for a few tech purchases and felt like he helped me make good choices for our needs. Went in today for a printer and didnt even bother to go next door to Best Buy to comparison shop.
I used the same day pick-up printing service here and was happy with the result. The quality of my poster was very good and the staff was friendly. I had to wait a couple of minutes though before someone came over to assist me although the store was pretty empty.
The copy center sales associate quite literally made 3 + customers go crazy within the 4 hours I spent there. He is absolutely infuriating.I cant believe how long it took him to honor the $9.99 online pick up in store same day business card deal. Its 100 business cards you make online and pick up in store same day for $9.99 the computer in the store quoted $30.00.After much talking he insists he can not honor the deal all he can do is scan the bar code. We ask for a manager and three times he points elusively into the store like shes there go talk to her.The manager (male) says he will honor the online price by simply overriding the price. The sales associate at the copy center then quotes us a 4 hour pick up time. YOU CLOSE IN 3 HOURS!!!!@ 3 PM he says SINCE YOUVE BEEN NICE TO ME I CAN DO IT IN AN HOURI cant make that up. We told him to forget about it. The copy sales associate is deciding, based on customers reactions to his laziness, whether he will do his job or not.
The printing department at this store is FANTASTIC! Every time I have had to print something the staff has been so kind, patient, helpful, and goes above and beyond.Highly recommend!
Dirty.... Carpet, computer station chair looked like somebody had had a bathroom crisis. There was a monogrammed champagne glass near the register to show what they could do.. but it was stuffed full with used Kleenex.The print staff ... Waited 14 minutes to drop off a UPS return. (There was no line.)
I hate this place. One of the worst Staples in America. No professional people here, just rude customers and rude managers and staff. Yeah... try getting a job here in tech who is very knowledgeable - they will never hire you here for it. This place sucks...
This store was one of the worst stores have even been to. The store was a mess an staff didnt really care about anything. The time of back to school there should of been more employees. I have been in retail for well over twelve years. The person that wrong me up walked passed everyone standing in line an got called back over less then a min.
I hate to say incompetent but thatβs the best description of customer service at the print center. They could care less about your customer experience. Theyβre in a great location but you have to have the patience of job to deal with these people.
I like this staples because it close to home, but Itβs a hit or miss with this one sometimes the computers work and other times they donβt. Staff will help if you ask. Overall itβs ok.

Workers on the printing section do not understand the importance of consumers as they off course know nothing about consumer satisfaction. You will stand near the cashier waiting for someone to serve you and I saw that three times where no one will talk to you and continue to ignore you for 12 mins. Workers in that section ignored me and continued printing and chatting with each other while I was standing.
This is a good Staples. Friendly and helpful staff and a clean store. The parking lot can get very busy on weekends and during other high traffic hours.
3 separate people put me on hold for 10 minutes. I WAS interested but lost interest after each person that answered the phone had no idea why I was on hold and asked me to hold. I just wanted a price quote to replace an I phone 6 Screen. Now they owe me for a half hour of my life Ill never get back. I still have no idea what they charge.
Customer service rep at the print counter interrupts me to instruct me to use the right most printer. When trying to use it the card reader doesnt work. I tell her this and she says if you follow directions it works. She tries and is unable to get it to work. She then points me to the original machine I was going to use initially. She has horrible customer service skills, this behavior should be corrected immediately. I have 18 years experience in information technology. If I were to speak with a customer in the same manner I would have been immediately terminated. This occurred 20-DEC-2018 @ 13:34 Receipt# 43300.
Employees are not very well organized but dependable for basic offices needs. Layout changes and item locations are not very well labeled.
I needed to use the printer, this was my firts time using that service, I did not how to us it. I requested for help and what got was attitude from the ladies that work in that area. Thanks staples next time I will know no to go there.
No place is as poorly run and with such incompetent employees without horrible management. I encourage Staples to take a good hard look at the management of this store. You should be embarrassed.

This place wasted my time from 11am to about 2pm. I was looking for a Windows computer that had Windows 10. I called 10x each time I was on hold for 45 minutes+. Id hangup and call again...finally decided to go to a local shop instead. Dont even bother calling this business...Im a patient person but common...3 hours and your employees wont even pick up the phone? NO THANKS.
I wrote the post below a few months ago, but decided to give them another chance, mainly because they are close to my house. And let me tell you when Glynnis Leathers is working, the customer service is outstanding. Honestly, every single order of mine that she works on is done exactly like I want it and earlier than I need. I just cant say enough about her. So glad she is there!------I can depend on the guy at the print place to call me each week and explain why they cant do what the online stores says they can. Disappointing.

Whoever works at the mailing/copy center, they are very rude. I got to the counter and while all three of the people behind thencounter looked at me, no one came to assist me. Finally after a few minutes one guy did and seemed annoyed that he had to help me send a UPS package and get a tracking slip. It was pre-paid! All he had to do was scan it! This isnt the first time this has happened. A few months ago I tried to get a book cut and spiralized and the same guy seemed annoyed that I was asking for this. He kept telling me, no we cant do that. Thats too hard to do I wont be able to. I ended up leaving the book there snd then calling the store and talking to someone else at the copy area who was more than happy to accomodate me. Overall, multiple bad experiences.

They lied. I called the store, asked them specifically did they have bookshelves- yes the attendant says. In the store, I say. In the store he says. I drive alllll the way around the beltway only to be told once on the property....we DO NOT have that shelf.I have gone to FIVE Staples and each time I go they really have nothing-nothing that I need- it is becoming a really pathetic store.

Customer service is lacking and communication to customers need to be approved. I order a next day print service. I show up before closing and the staff say they do not have the paper I requested and it might be delivered. I said, okay, give me a call if it is not able to printed next day. Two days later, no call they cancel my order. This was almost 60$ worth of an order. Poor service poor staff. I will spend the extra money and go to FedEx.

Omg! - to the lack of ambition with these people. Went to pick up something I ordered online and there was no online pickup sign as the email said. Fine, I went into a line that literally didnt move for 5 plus minutes. There was a second person up there casually putting something on the shelf that I had to ask (rather than she se the issue) in order to actually motivate her to help her co-worker out while the line grew. Then she helps and i finally get up there to learn i have to go to another desk and surprise, I had to wait there too. I got a manager to help me and he was very laxed as well. The organization of the pickup area is horrible and he and the other guy took 10min trying to find my order while the boss got annoyed but offered no solutions. A half hour for a pickup... never again.

Placed an order the day before I arrived and it was the incorrect item gentlemen goes to get the correct item grabs another incorrect item.At the end of that transaction I grab something else to buy I go to the front to pay and treated with total disdain, as if I was an annoyance for buying something.

Terrible. On two occasions, I called in an order to the print dept and sent an image. I arrived at the promised time and they had misplaced the order and not created it. I had to wait over an hour both times. Really poor organization. Very hard to even get anyone to anser the phone.

Terrible Customer Serivce. I placed a print job order 3 weeks ago, called three times to see if it was ready and each time no one knew about my order. The last time I was told that they were working on it and I still havent gotten an email to let me know it was ready. I will NEVER place an order with this location again.

Needed to print one page from the print services. None of the devices worked, and the desk had one associate. Waited over 45mins.Horrible experience.
None of the laptops, shown online as being IN the store, were there.
Beware! Criminals work here. After leaving my credit card at this location accidentally, management proceeded to not lock the card in the safe and not shred the card upon my request, letting it sit out for 4 days. The card has been used fraudulently inside this store and outside of the store thanks to the mishandling of the card by staff. Their response is it will take days for a resolution.
Customer service from both a cashier and a manager were atrocious, they both just shrugged and told me they couldnt help.
My husband and I went in looking for a paper shredder, they did ask what we were looking for however they followed us around the store like we came to steal everything! It was very humiliating! I have never been treated like that in my life! I would never come back to this store.

The worst customer service Ive had. Rude people who believe that everyone knows how the machines work and they treat you as if you have arrived to ask for alms. They should keep in mind that their job is to serve and not be rude. And this that I came early in the day, I dont want to know how it will be in the afternoon.
