I decided to check out Sephora since I have been a bit down in the dumps about getting old and wrinkled. I was lucky to have just the right person to help me out, Vanessa is an amazing patient and kind person. I thought all these young people wouldnt want anything to do with me but she proved that to be very untrue.Thank You Vanessa you have no idea how much I appreciate all of your help.
Kai was super helpful, professional and really cool. I usually stress buying makeup cz i dont normally know what am getting but with the help of Kai she made it fun!
Update: The store manager tried to fix it so I appreciate it and gave an extra star but my feelings are the same. If I go to the store to get a beat but its basically what I get at home then why pay all this money to get it professionally done.I would not go here again as an African American getting your makeup done because I asked for a soft makeup look and I came out with a flat one dimensional face. You can tell when people arent experienced with darker skin complexions. And when I was leaving she could clearly tell that I was not satisfied but she hurried me out the door. Getting your Makeup done at Sephora is not cheap, I wont make that mistake again.
All sephoras are good for obvi reasons, but the staff here is super nice and the business is dog friendly!
Robin was incredible! So helpful and attentive. Highly recommend this store and speaking with Robin :)
Excellent customer service and stock for Old Town.
This one story location with a handicap ramp sits on the populous King Street close to Five Guys. The store has altered the try-on/sample process to alleviate health concerns, but some items (like face moisturizers) are still available. The iconic line that always forms has helpful floor markers to indicate where persons must stand for the safety of themselves an others. Its still right in the middle of the mini and travel size products, but now you have more space to browse and be enticed.
If you have any social anxiety, i advise not going into this store. every single employee will approach you to ask if you need any help and then insist on staying close to you in case you need anything. i was asked by 6 different workers the same thing while i was trying to make a decision on what to buy with a friend. it was very irritating and i felt watched. i hope this was just my experience and doesnt happen on a regular basis. but besides that, everything was fine.
Very helpful staff.
The Sephora store on 810 King Street in Old Town Alexandria is a bit cheaper than its competitor on 600 King Street, but you get what you pay. With noisy music and employees some of whom look ill-kempt, the store feels like a Walmart or Seven-Eleven amongst perfume stores. One employee had difficulties understanding what I meant by European brand, but at least, she figured it out. The next employee was probably the best: After selling me the perfume, she asked me to wait for her to ring up 2 other customers before wrapping the perfume into a box with a ribbon (for which I paid separately). But once she had started with the packing, an older employee, perhaps the manager, told her to stop because it was not their policy to do so. I explained to the manager (?) that I had waited for 2 customers to get the service and that now, nobody was standing in line whom we could have held up. To no avail. If a policy like this exists, it should be used to make things smooth when there are long lines. But there is nothing wrong with being kind and giving a bit extra service if there is no practical reason against doing so. I perceived the manager (?) as stubborn and inflexible in her thinking, or even enjoying to say no to a customer to show who is boss. I feel bad for the young employee who wanted to help me out and reasonably asked me to wait for 2 customers. That made sense to me. Her boss (?) comes across to me as mean and miserly, and her demeanor and attitude reflects on the store. Next time, I will go to 600 King Street, or buy from Amazon.
No one greets you or offers to assist you when you walk in. I was ignored until I walked up to the register.
This is my favorite Sephora! I love the beauty consultants! Everyone is so nice, so supportive of each other, and customer service seems to be high on the priority list! I come here almost every single week!
Everyone that works at this Sephora is AMAZING! They were warm and helpful from entry to exit! Please shop here!
Very knowledgeable friendly staff. They were super helpful and it was very convenient being able to go in and out quickly. It is a very clean store and the product selection is surprisingly good even though its a fairly small floor space.
Had a FANTASTIC visit at the new Old Town location. If you havent gone, you must. Shae is wonderful and my new best friend.πππ And, the manager was very personable as well.
Been here 2 times and theyre always nice. Clean and spacious store.
Every associate was so sweet and knowledgeable. This is the best Sephora experience I have ever had.
Nice staff!
The store associates were very helpful, kind, and generally upbeat! Helped me find what I was looking for, the place was clean, and they all had masks on! ππ½
I had to return an online purchase the employees were very friendly and efficient.
They clearly hired people incompetent to work there. Lack luster worth of customer service. Standing around not greeting customers with overall attitude like they donβt wanna be there. This is the best Sephora had to offer for their hiring for King Streetβs new location? Atrocious.
Helpful staff and a very organized store.
Pretty horrible place with incompetent employees. They donβt even do makeup there.
Staff is excellent.
It was good
High prices!
