I loved all the cupcakes but the lemon drop cupcake its out of this world!

This Smallcakes has a “cute” inside and is inviting once you arrive inside. There is only one table so it is mostly take out I assume. The offerings were somewhat limited compared to some other cupcake shops.I had a vanilla cake with white frosting. Having dined on my share of cupcakes, it was fine. The icing was a little sweet for my taste, but that is just my personal preference. While I enjoyed my visit, it was not on the level of some across the river in my view.

The nice young lady behind the counter was very sweet and helpful. I ended up getting the chocolate wine cupcake. It was delicious.

We just had the red velvet and chocolate wine cupcakes!!! OMG, so good! The red velvet was the best but Im biased to cream cheese icing!! Thanks so much for sharing your talent with the rest of us!!

I love Smallcakes! This location was clean and has a great selection of cupcakes. The cupcakes were delicious, moist, and full of flavor. They were beautifully decorated too. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. Great location!

OMG cupcakes are down right delicious. They melt in your mouth. My son and I love to go here for sweet treats after school or a long stressful day at work. The lady at the counter didn’t really give us a warm fuzzy but the cupcakes make up for it.

OMG Just had these for the first time today. They are freaking awesome! We split the chocolate chocolate and the lemon drop. Cant believe I didnt get there sooner. Young woman behind the counter was very helpful!

This SmallCakes is the worst location I’ve ever been to. The cupcake selections are very limited and different from other locations. Is this a NOVA thing? Also, the cupcakes I purchased was very dry. After visiting SmallCakes in various locations in Chicago and Atlanta, who both have the exact same selections. This location definitely doesn’t represent the SmallCakes brand.

I just happened to see the open sign today and saw all the precautions the store was taking and felt comfortable checking it out. I am thrilled I did! Brianna ( I apologize if I spell her name wrong), is so nice and friendly and took the time to answer my questions. Then I saw them!!! They had the Hot Coco Bombs!!! I felt like a kid again I was so excited!! I also got a chocolate cake with cream cheese icing cupcake. Okay, the cupcake A M A Z I N G!!! Not too sweet icing and the cake part so moist and fresh!!! I am not a big cupcake person either, but WOW!! I can not wait to try the bombs!! I found my new sweet spot!! So glad I saw the open sign and decided to go in!!! Do not pass this place up!!!

It was ok. I have been to several small cakes, and this one ranks the lowest. The cakes themselves are are small and not as flavorful as other small cakes that I have visited. The attendant was lackluster and not very welcoming as those at other stores. On a good note, the salted caramel cheesecake icecream was great. This place has some work to do in order to be on par with other stores.

Welcoming beautiful bakery filled with delicious cupcakes. Young lady there was out of the cupcake I came in for. The beautiful young lady went above and beyond to make the cupcake I came for. I’m very appreciative given this was my first visit. Thank you Smallcakes NOVA

We ordered a pull apart Elmo cake for our son’s 2nd birthday. I’m not a huge cake person but these were delicious...very moist and delicious frosting! They were very responsive to online messages and the pickup process was a breeze. We will definitely use them again. Highly recommend!

The cupcakes were just okay. Will not be my go to for cupcakes. However, what saved the day was their delicious ice cream. O-M-G you want to talk about YUM! My sister and I just about ate the entire container in one sitting. Will certainly come back for it again.

The cupcakes are delicious, and the price under $5 is very reasonable. One suggestion for this venue is better lighting. The bluish tint of the LED lights makes it seem a little cold and dark. A more yellow shade of light would make it feel cozier and more welcoming.

Delicious! Impromptu visit, stopped in minutes before closing...didn’t expected to be so cheerfully greeted. (I absolutely respect people are closing for the day and maybe finished with service) We were very graciously attended to, not rushed, and the ice cream was delicious! Would definitely recommend to anyone.

An absolute great new addition to our neighborhood! Super soft cupcakes with extremely tasty frosting. The ice cream is incredible too. Perfect dessert stop after going to any of the local restaurants (Sine’, Lebanese Taverna, etc) or coming out of the mall.

We ordered the chocolate cream cheese cupcake and split. It was very good and a nice treat after lunch. Was a little disappointed the signage indicated doggie cupcakes were available but was told they are only made on the weekends. Overall service was polite and receipt was offered via email.

Highly recommend. The cupcakes and the ice cream are both so delicious! This place gets dessert right. Its not just sugary sweet but sweet with flavor. Really yummy!

This place is a hidden gem. The cupcakes are always moist and they give excellent customer service. If youre ever at Pentagon City, or Pentagon Row, you should stop in. You wont be disappointed.

Drove 10 miles Saturday 3/9 to get cupcakes fresh as soon as they opened only to find a sign on the door that they were closed until 12:30. Called at 11:50 only to have the young lady on the phone tell me they werent opening until 1. Poorest communication Ive experienced in a long time.

Very good cakes and excellent service. The buttercreams are pretty heavy, and if youre not a fan of a heavy buttercream frosting, there arent many options. The flavors are all pretty traditional; they could benefit from trying some out of the box flavors.

The store is located in the Pentagon Row Shopping area. The cupcakes are delicious! They have a variety of flavors. They are larger than several of the local shops with the same price point, $3.95 each. The Smashcake, cupcake and ice cream combo is amazing! Homemade cups with dairy ice cream in between is delicious is a great hit with customers. Unfortunately, they do not have dairy free ice cream. They even have pupcakes for your furry friends.

I’ve been here twice now! Cupcakes are very generous in size and sooooo moist! The best red velvet I’ve had in a while and so good i decided to cater for my birthday!

I drove 37 minutes to this place and I got the red velvet cupcake it was dry and gross. It didn’t taste ANYTHING like red velvet at all. I was so disappointed it was a waste of 10.95 because it went to the trash I just ate the ice cream.

Cupcakes lack flavor... bland, taste similar to box cake mix with flavored icing. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed. The cupcakes taste like something you would buy at Walmart. The frosting tasted like it was made with shortening and maybe a little bit of butter so a buttercream frosting...it was not. The cake was moist and thats about it.

I went to buy some cupcakes on Saturday.. I stepped in the lady said they were closed ?? Okay ! But your website says 11:00 am ... It’s 5 mins to noon now .... Better Customer Service

The birthday cake cupcake was SO good! Cute place.

I wanted to like them, but the cupcakes taste like ones you could get from a grocery store. I bought the cookies and cream cupcake, which was a vanilla cupcake with vanilla icing and crumbled oreos on top. It’s a very generous size, but the icing tasted artificial and other than the crushed oreos, it’s a basic vanilla cupcake. I hope they get a buttercream icing or tweak their recipe because my first impression of them isn’t a good one.
