Rude staff. Don’t understand why it’s so hard to show a little kindness.

They have everything you need from dance uniforms to school in uniforms. This place is a one stop shop!

My daughter had to order ballet leotards here for her dance studio, so ordered it in August. They arrived in mid January! The only way I knew it arrived is another mother told me. THEY NEVER CALLED to tell me my order was in that was ordered 5 months ago!!! No apology, no explanation, nothing. I would call every few months to check on the order and get “someone will call you back and update you”. NEVER did I get a call back. I will never do business with this store again.

This is the place to go to find leotards and tights for ballet and other purposes, nice trousers for boys and young men, and birthday gifts that are both educational and cool. Its amazing what they offer under a single roof!

I went for ballet clothes and was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of shoes, tights, and leotards. A store employee asked me immediately what I was looking for and pointed me to the dance clothes. The store owner had really good knowledge about dance clothes and even gave me a discount for going to a local dance school. They had the dance tights that I wanted: the capezio ultra soft tights with a knit waist rather than the elastic one they sell on amazon. I ended up grabbing some cute leotards as well. Anyway, a really friendly staff and nice dance clothes.

The folks there are really helpful and kind. They also are very knowledgable of the various schools and their standards. Thats very helpful for a timely process. A highly recommended store for your dancing needs.

It really the best little store. Also a must stop for all things uniforms : School, dance, scouts. You name it. And a fantastic toy /puzzle selection. Love this place.

Didnt get greeted at all! I am the grandmother of 5 looking for something new for the grandbabies. Walked into the store today and was never greeted by the salesperson. No hello. Can i help you? Nevermind that the other customers were greeted and offered assistance! Bad customer service or hidden racism?

Excellent service and a great selection of dance wear for adults. The ladies that work there are really knowledgeable of all the dance schools in the area and offered some great advice. A first stop when getting ready for dance class.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The have a wide array of toys, clothes for children, and dance supplies for children and adults. Some of the items are a little pricey, but this is a small business. They have to make a profit. I am willing to pay a little more for a pleasant shopping experience and to boost the local economy.

Childrens uniform and variety store, with a strong selection of Melissa & Doug, Usborne, and other quality children toy and book brands. You can get your Boy/Girl Scout uniforms here, as well as dance gear and some private school uniforms. I had a great experience with the staff, but your experience may differ depending on whos working that day :)

This was my first and last time I will ever walk into this store. It had great stuff in it, but was overpriced. I went into the store for a last minute resort in getting my daughters ballet shoes. The staff there were very pushy and quite rude. I am glad for my sake that I came in there knowing what I was looking for and knew my daughters sizes. The employees in the store need training in customer service. Also to mention to whoever the woman was who had rung me up. She reminded me of the store policy on the return policies when it clearly states it on the wall. I mean its written everywhere, I know how to read. Sure, it was nice of her to remind me but at the same time the way it was said was very rude -- as if I didnt understand english. Never again....!

A great small business place to get kids toys, books and dance clothes.

These women made it VERY obvious that me, my money nor my patronage was wanted in their store. With nothing in the Bradlee area that sells clothing for kids, I ran in for a pair of tights or socks for my infant during my lunch break. Walked in with my typical cheery Hello and got nothing. Absolutely nothing. Oh, my bad, a glare that clearly stated you are not wanted in this store. As a professional African American female who has lived, worked, worshipped, played and volunteer right here in this very part of Alexandria ALL MY LIFE, I was beyond irritated. I stopped and thought well, you wont be getting any of MY money but for some reason proceeded to the section I needed. Refusing to not only NOT spend my money there, I certainly wasnt spending $14 on a pair of tights for an 8 month old. I walked back to the front and purposely stopped in front of them and yelled THANK YOU and as I got to the door one of them said thank you. Not only was I not greeted, nobody asked if I needed help, did you find what youre looking for or anything. I mean, as a specialty store with even more specialty pricing, I would expect better service. I felt like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman only it wasnt my image that was the problem, but the color of my skin. That store is a 2x4 so you can stand in the front and still be in the back and only 2 other patrons were there, an older couple on the same rack I was on so they surely couldnt say they didnt see me. VERY DISAPPOINTED. They have been around as long as I can remember and Im FROM the Bradlee area of Alexandria and it saddens me to think this exclusive story does not abide by the Inclusive approach hailed by our Mayor & City Council as well as many other establishments in Alexandria. Take your money up the street to Target or someplace else that welcomes EVERYONE.

Wow this store has everything from dance clothes and shoes, school uniforms, boy scout stuff, toys - it just goes on and on. Cindy the owner is really great and help me pick out some great gifts for my daughters recietal.

Great toys and dancewear

Ive been supporting this business since my daughter was born.The mother is very pushy and the daughter is obnoxcious. I was there shopping for my daughters Nutcracker even. She brought few pairs of slipper. They were all the wrong size. Shes got such a panic face as if someone is her stupid store. She comes to me asking if I had seen the pair of slipper my daughter tried on. I told her I handed to her. She said she doesnt know where she put it. HOW THE HELL DO YOU BRAIN FREEZ moron come to me asking me. Then she comes the 2nd and 3rd times. asking for the same thing. ALL I COULD THINK AT THIS POINT. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR NASTY MIND??? I told her how many times you will ask me. You are very rude and I am not shopping from your store. She didnt apologized. I would never put a foot into this dumpstairs. Everything here is over priced. at least by 50%. I over heard her talking to one of her customers one day that she pays over $20,000/Per month in rent. So yes, she marks up her items 50% in order to make for her expenses. On top of that she makes customers feels like thieves. Shes very unpleasant and only wants to rob you like a thief by selling you quickly her over priced items.
