Love this dragon fruit shave ice, complete with some toppings like banana, strawberry, blueberry, dry coconut, granola, and honey..Cozy place and nice service! Definitely one of my fave dessert in town.

Very good Almond flavored snow ice. I was excited because I havent seen this flavor before except as milk tea. My bf commented he could smell the almond flavor when I brought the cup over. There are a lot of topping choices here. I got the following toppings: mochi, popping boba, and M&Ms. The menu didnt mention what flavor popping boba, its mango.My bf got Matcha snow with boba pearls, mochi, and chocolate chips. The boba was very nicely done, not chewy, though smaller pearls than in a milk tea. We both got condensed milk as the sauce. He got his a little bit sooner than me and it was half gone by the time I got mine so I didnt get a picture.We both thought our bowls were great and the toppings were good proportions.

When you’re craving for crêpes after a wild storm in LA. I say there’s gotta be a close consanguinity between a man’s craving for crepe and a cold rainy day. Without further ado let’s start my review of Salju. (Sounds like a rhyme) lol.Salju Dessert is a dessert shop that specializes in snow shaved ice, fruit acai bowls, crispy crêpe and drinks. It is located in a very small plaza on the corner of Valley blvd and Second street. It’s interior design was very modest with welcoming atmosphere. I came here after the storm on a late Wednesday afternoon and upon my arrival, I was greeted by a friendly young female staff. I perused their menu which has a modest and strait forward items. I immediately looked at the crêpes section w/c has seven types of flavors. I ordered their Mixed Fruit Crepe, a concoction of strawberry, mango, banana, kiwi, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. The crêpe was sweet, crunchy and savory galettes filled with cut fresh fruits, vanilla ice cream at the bottom and whip cream on top. It was purely simple, and yet taste really bloody good mate! (British accent). Their portion match the price. Price were fair and competitive. Staff was patient, obsequious, competent and followed health protocol. No Wifi available. Maximum seating capacity is 22 people (prepandemic). Parking lot is small but ample of street parking available. Overall, I had a good order experience and savory mixed fruit crêpe dessert. I highly recommend this dessert place.

This place is so unbelievably good.I went here with my parents and cousins and it was truly a great experience. I also recommend the ice cream crepe, it’s delicious, creamy, crisp, and everything you could ever want! I’m hoping to go here during the next hangout~ thank you so much for the great hospitality!

Now if you are looking for flavored shaved iced, then this is the place to go. It is flavorful and yummy. They do tend to run out of certain flavors by the end of the evening from time to time. So it is best to call ahead to see if the flavor you want is still available. I highly recommend this place for the sweet tooth lovers and curiosity first-timers.

The people there are not nice to customers. They made a mistake about flavor when they take our order. We asked them to change to what we want but they refused first time. When we asked the second time, the male cashier accepted our request. However, we still think the female staff there did not respect their customers. I feel sad about this store to have employe like her. Not a good place to go if you want a good service 👎.

After two years of not coming here, this Saljo Desert has now gained a lot of great things. They now have more choices of shaved ice and Crepes. New products are Acai Bowl and Dragon Bowl. Service is still very fast and store is clean. Prices are very reasonable and the flavors taste amazing. Really a must-visit.

Finally got to try this dessert place out after driving past it thousands of times!The shaved ice snow is super light and fluffy-like!Not too sweet at all!I got the lychee and it tasted like lychee. A little creamy but not overbearingly milky and heavy.Toppings galore! I love mini mochi as a topping and I added strawberries.We didnt get a crepe but its def on our list of things to try next here!Good to try out if you are looking for something different from your regular ol soft serve, ice cream sundaes, and froyo.

Ice cream and toppings selection was awesome, the staff was super friendly but the lobby looked like it hadnt been cleaned all day, the trash was overflowing, napkins were on the floor and tables were not being cleaned.

Really delicious and light shaved ice desserts; I had black sesame shaved ice with egg pudding and strawberries for my choice of 2 toppings and condensed milk as my syrup. Looking forward to going back again when I’m in the area.

This store has great desert. I tried many flavor but so far their green tea is the best. The only minus point of this location is their parking, especially peak hours on weekend.

The best shaved ice that I ever had🤤

Unlike other dessert place, it had different kinds of favorite when I order (snow) item. It is very soft to eat especially in honeydew favor (which sometimes outside of other store either dont have this favor or not soft enough to eat). Also, kiwi is very good here because it is sweet to eat. For the parking, it is not a problem here because they are not many business around the store. Overall, I recommend here for child or come here for dessert around tea/after dinner time.

Still great after years of coming here. These are medium sizes for $6.75 (also have small, $4.50). Its a create your own.We created milk snow, red beans, egg pudding, boba. And Vietnamese coffee (very sweet), coconut, coffee jelly & mochi. I put a small Styrofoam cup next to it for scale.They keep the place super warm, i guess to enjoy cold treat!

Salju is one of the better practitioners of Asian snow desserts. There are many choices of free toppings as well as several squeeze bottles of sweetened condensed milk to customize your order just how you like it.

Parking can be hard to find during peak hours. This place has amazing shaved snow. Decent amount of seats but they need to allow you to mix the flavors of the shaved snow. I believe its cash only as well. They have varsities of flavors to choose (only one) and alot of different toppings.

Ive only ordered their snow ice or shave ice. It comes in many different flavor. It taste like ice cream without the heaviness of ice cream.I have not seen a dessert place that serve this kind of dessert. It is so unique that I have return multiple times bringing a different friend each and every time. Every single one of them like it.

Great bang for your buck. Great place for shaved snow/milk. I loved their Vietnamese coffee flavor with banana and strawberries. I also tried their crepe and it was very good too. It was on the crispy side but the Nutella was spread evenly so that each bite was full of flavor. It is worth a try and see for yourself.

Delish Taiwanese shaved ice! Great assortment of flavors and pretty generous portions. The flavors are so rich that I dont think you need any syrups on them. I would add it on the side if thats your thing. Great for a hot Cali day!!!

Salju Dessert is one of the better places in the SGV with better tasting shaved snow. Some of the other places just dont do as good as a job. Its kind of pricey for what it is but its worth the visit.Usually the large size is fulfilling. When I get the smaller one it makes me want to order another one.Their variety of toppings are good. The condensed milk is awesome, cant get enough of that.

When I cant get my ice cream fix, shaved snow is the next best thing (maybe even the better option). There are a variety of flavors to choose from, but my favorite is almond - sweet and aromatic. I like to top this snow off with drizzles of condensed milk, freshly cut strawberries, and egg pudding. This spot also has bottomless condensed milk offered at the end of the counter!

Best shaved snow around. Better than ice, snow is much fluffier and melts in your mouth. You dont feel the crystals of ice like shaved ice. Tons of syrups, flavors, and toppings.

Shaved snow heaven!Salju is my all time favorite place for shaved snow in SGV. In terms of quality, price, and service I feel like Salju has it all. You are allowed to sample any of the flavors listed on their menu. My favorites are the almond, Thai tea, and green tea matcha flavors. Ive tried the fruity flavors and they didnt really stand out to me.They only have two sizes of shaved snow. The small is $3.95 and you can chose two toppings, the medium is $5.50 and you can choose three toppings. With a group of 4 I will usually get two mediums which I think is plenty to share. After choosing the size, you then choose your flavor of shaved snow, then the syrup, and finally the toppings. I love that they have over 30 different types of toppings available and if you add additional toppings it is only $1 extra.This place usually gets crowded at nights and weekends but I usually never have too much trouble finding seats since people eat and leave pretty quickly.Tip* You can get unlimited complimentary condensed milk! Just look for the bottle sitting around on the tables!

My girlfriend and I like coming here in the summer for refreshing asian shaved ice. The major difference between regular shaved ice and the asian dessert is the shaving process which they do ribbons instead of more crushed ice which means it just melts in your mouth. Its a build your own style dessert where you pick flavor, toppings, and syrup. The times we go, has never been too busy, and we have gotten the crepes once of twice which was pretty decent too.

The snow ice here is soooo good and its fairly price. Its around $6-7 for a large size with 3 toppings. So far, I have tried the matcha, taro, coffee, and chocolate flavored snow. All flavors were strong and yummy. I like how the consistency of the snow isnt too flaky and melts together. I also had the jasmine milk tea and it was pretty good. The tea flavor was strong, it wasnt too milky, and the boba was chewy. Definitely coming back here for more snow! :)

Great place to fulfill that shaved snow craving!I always get the Matcha green tea with condensed milk, strawberries & mochi! The texture of the shaved snow is soft and fluffy, and the flavor is perfect.Great option for dessert! And I like how you can get individual sizes/portions and customize it however you want.They also have boba and crepes too. And this place is not ideal for large groups, and they have about 5-6 tables.As for parking, they have a small parking lot.. but you can easily find parking in the residential area nearby too.

There was a cockroach, and the employees killed it with some raid. Very fun experience
