I have been to Brakes Plus (at 1711 N Greenville, Allen, TX) three times so far in the last 6 months. All three visits were for unrelated issues. Each time I was there, the team at Brakes Plus was amazing. They were quick to greet me and ask me about my car issues. They were quick to evaluate the issues and let me know what they found out. They were very aggressively priced and all three times they fixed the issue and got me on my way quickly. They have won my business for life.

So this review is for Ray who greets the customers when they walk in. Of course no one enjoys going to a repair shop but when I walked in Ray had a smile that put me at ease. I immediately felt better about my situation not knowing what it would cost. Ray called me and informed me on what the problem was and what they could do. Well they did what he said and more. Ron at brakes plus took great care of me and my car! Saved hundreds of dollars by choosing his shop instead of getting my brakes fixed at the dealership. After a thorough analysis on my car he found that half the things the dealership was trying to do was not even necessary. They even got everything done in about an hour which was perfect. I brought my car in for State Inspection, an oil change, and general checkup. Ray was amazing to work with. Hes very nice, honest, and communicated with us every step of the way. They did an inspection and found a brake light issue where power not getting to bulb. He found why 15 minutes and fixed it and I was done within 1 hour start to finish. They did great. Highly recommend

Ive been here a couple of times. Everyone is always professional and no frills discussion about what my vehicle needs. This particular time, my daughters car needed new brakes. Upon arrival, they checked the brakes within 15 minutes and completely replaced the brakes within an hour and a half. Great service and value.

Ray and the guys at Brakes Plus were awesome! I called them in the morning to check for availability and Carlos told me to just show up. So I did. They changed my front, and rear brake pads checked my rotors, changed the oil, flushed the brake oil, and also did the state inspection. In about 2 hours. I’m very please with the service. Whenever i need air in my tires the guys there are quick to help me out! Had a level kit and ranch hand bumper put on my F150. Ray was great. Kept me updated throughout the day. Jonny was the mechanic who installed it all. He did a great job. I’ve been coming over to Brakes plus for the better part of the last 3 years, and honestly at the beginning it was mainly due to convenience, but what’s kept me coming back are a few of things… The service is always excellent, and to be fair my needs are usually basics, like State Inspections, oil maintenance etc. I’ve always found the prices competitive with other quotes in the past and am at the point where I just go directly to Brake Plus because I trust their pricing. The absolute stand out feature was during the height of the pandemic though; during the early stages I needed the yearly inspection and an oil maintenance done and had no idea who was open, how I was going to schedule etc. Brakes plus called me and admittedly I left it to voice mail, but they were trying to make regular maintenance as easy as possible, they offered to pick up and return vehicles at no extra cost – I thought this was above and beyond and was really impressed. My last accolade goes directly to Ray, he always seems to be there when I have to drop off a vehicle and is polite, very friendly and just takes care of you from end to end, from drop off, to call back, to pick up he is the epitome of good customer service. And thanks to everyone else there who just make an inconvenient chore as pleasant as possible!

I came in because I was hearing my brakes squeak even though it was brand new car I just got from a week ago. They checked it out. They have that brakes check for free so I had to take that offer for sure. But either way. I had to them check it out and then they told me all that was actually wrong and what was going on. Very professional and helpful. They even let me watch my car while it was getting worked on. Very pleased and thankful for them.

Excellent service! I stopped by another provider to see if I could get oil change, I didnt have an appointment and they were full. They mentioned Brake Plus (specifically the one on Stacy and Greenville in Allen, TX) (I didnt know they offered full car service-apart from tire change) anyways I tried it, and Ray was very accommodating. They called in and checked about any additional service.They cost me total of about $30-$40 less than I would have paid at the other location for oil change, spark plugs change and and coolant change.Very happy customer here who will certainly return.

I had an appointment to get my oil changed, tires rotated and brakes checked. All good there, brakes fine. BUT I was told that I needed to get my spark plugs replaced. Never had any issues, but went with it since Im near 100k miles. That same day my car was real jerky while accelerating after the work was done (never before). I have learned that was engine misfires. Dealt with this for 4 days, then the check engine light came on. Took it to the dealership to diagnose and come to find out the ignition coil on one cylinder needed to be replaced, the spark plugs were torqued so much that 5 out of 6 were cracked and to top it off they used the wrong spark plugs!! I spent $700 for that wonderful job. Then another $1000 to get it fixed at the dealership. Still trying to get a hold of management, but when I did revisit in that attempt the desk man waved his hands and was very opinionated that that couldnt ever happen there or be their fault. I have the dealership servicemen backing me, its documented, I have the wrong parts in hand, and they are willing to talk to this place about what they found. We shall see how they handle this. But unless you want the same headache and excessive costs, I suggest sticking to the very basics at this place, if anything at all.Update: kudos to the store manager. He was very apologetic and reimbursed the cost incurred as a result of their job. Glad to see they try to do right!!!

Best place to get your brakes done. Called in this morning and they gladly accepted my appointment last minute and was able to get me out within just a few hours. Ray was very helpful will definitely be returning in the future.

Took my car here for routine oil change and thankfully they checked EVERYTHING! After taking my car to the Hyundai Dealership, thinking they checked everything, I took it to brakes plus and they found my engine air filter was terrible, replaced it and they cleaned out my engine. I am thankful they took the time and care to look over my vehicle and save me money in the long run. Will continue to take my vehicle there. Fantastic service and Ray made me feel like family!

Excellent experience with this location. Had an issue with a stripped and cross threaded lug bolt on a custom wheel that literally no other place could help me with and these guys were willing to think outside the box and get it off for me. Have also done brakes here and all our oil changes. Synthetic oil change is less expensive than the oil change places with same oil and they are pretty quick too.

The guys did a great job. Quick turn around, great service and value for money. And they did it with humor.

I had an issue with my coolant temperature sensor. I went to a few repair shops to fix the issue. Their quotes seemed very expensive for what was needed. I then called Brakes Plus. A gentleman named Raymond answered. Extremely professional and nice. He assured me they could get the job done and at a much better price. And Brakes Plus did just that! I feel fortunate to have finally found a repair shop thats more interested in helping the customer - than overcharging to make an extra buck. Very happy with the service at Brakes Plus in Allen.

Start to finish, this place has been awesome. Called earlier this week and spoke with Ray. He was kind, professional, and sounds like he really does love working here. I told him I was planning on coming in Saturday (today) to have my rotors checked. Got in just after they opened and got to meet Ray, who is funny and nice in person too. A tech drove my car and sure enough, rotors needed machining and front brake pads needed replacing (the pads come with a lifetime warranty, yay!). Didnt try to sell useless extras or anything like that, and they gave me a good price for the job. Would definitely use them again. Thanks yall!

This company is truly unique!! They allow you to schedule, and work around your schedule, for your convenience. I did not have to miss work to get the brakes changed on my work van. Other companies told me they would need to hold it all day to do the job. Not here at brakes plus. They are here for your convenience and to take care of you and I truly believe that.

Went in thinking I needed new rear pads and drum since I put 30k miles on them and bought the car used. Ray was great and honest and told me it only needed a cleaning due to excessive brake dust. Ray at this location was very helpful. They offer free alignment check which I needed due to the way my tires were wearing. Found the vehicle to be out of spec and was able to complete the adjustment quickly and for a reasonable price. I had a $5 coupon but Ray said they had promo going and took $10 off the posted price. Very courteous, clean and quick. I walked next door to get lunch and before I had finished my Whataburger, Ray was calling me to let me know the car was ready. Very pleased and will return if needed. Staff was very nice and professional. They did my wheel alignment and even test drove it a few different times to make sure they got it just right. Mr Gray informed me on another issue with my vehicle and didnt pressure me at all to get that service done with them. Just gave me a heads up and honest advice. I appreciated that.

$450 for 2 brake pads which cost less than 30$. They told me that they would they would fix all 4 pads, when I arrived they told me it would be double that for all 4. Brake pad replacement is so easy and cheap just youtube it and spend at most $50

Wife came in to get some work done and they refused her service and expected to have me call in for an explanation, which was unreasonable due to the fact that the guy just didnt want to do it and refused to talk to or reason with a female. I thought those sexist days were gone.

We had kind of a weird issue with our engine. They quickly diagnosed it & let us know it was related to a recall with our car that the dealership hadnt notified us of yet, so thanks to them, we were able to get it to the dealership & get a new engine, all under the recall.

Update: i was contacted by the manager of the store after my review and was invited to the shop to correct the problem. This time he printed the score sheet that shows the car is properly aligned. The car is no longer pulling to thw right. I dont know what happened the first time but he fixed it. He said he installed some bolts for free. I cant complain now that my car is working as expected.Old review: I got my alignment done on a set of 4 new tires, but my car still pulls to the right. I asked the guy at the register to show me the scoresheet to look at the numbers, and he said he run out of color ink. This is hard to believe. So, I didnt get a copy and I dont even know for sure if my car was aligned or not. I told the guy that my car was still pulling to the right as soon as I left the shop, but he said they needed to make an extra hole and add a bolt to make it work for about $140. I never heard of something like that, and I was always happy with my previous alignments. So basically, he said there is nothing we can do about your car. Either you pay or your car will pull to the right even with the alignment. Now, I dont even have proof of the alignment being done :-( . I would not recommend going to this shop. I am not happy with the service. I feel I just wasted my money for nothing. I am going to have to do the alignment again somewhere else.

Dont go on good ratings, as they switch and bait. Person at the front desk will ask you to do a review as because hes nice you will give them a 5 star. Service people arent professional at all. Well this isnt a place where I would recommend you o go or take your vehicle to. This place ripped me off twice and i still end up taking my Honda to dealership to get the wheel alignment done. You have a 3 months or 3000 miles free realignment check, and if youre deciding to go back to this place in between that time, they will try hard not to take you in or try to make excuses, in this case call corporate on these people.

They did and an alignment and a brake check for me. They even recommended against changing the brakes, because I still had life in them. They seem like straightforward and professional people. Will definitely come back.
