For the most part I love Market Street. At this Allen location, there is a lack of will missing from the hot food section. If you want to get a delicious Market Street burger, or a plate, even a pizza...you have to perform a circus act to get an employee’s attention to be served. Then, when they do take your order it takes a while for it to be prepared. Are they given way too many tasks at once by management? There is a persistent problem with one particular short, older, lady. I’m sure she means well, but it doesn’t seem like she really wants to help anyone out. I am very understanding, but maybe she should work in a different department? Another customer mentioned the disinterest from employees in reciprocating a smile, or kindness in general. I have also noticed this, and do hope management is treating their employees well. I doubt it. Anyway, here is a picture of my order sitting there for several minutes after I placed it :)
Very clean and and quite a diverse collection of items for a grocery store. Market Street has some unique finds for both drink and food. I like the way they have their store setup which makes it easy to locate food, vegatables, medicines, wines and gifts. I really liked the variety of soaps they carried near the pharmacy. This store has an upscale feel to it... yet not too costly.
I love love love this place. Lots of fresh produce, ready-to-eat hot meals & salads, prepared meals and great selection of meat and seafood, prices aren’t too bad. I just moved here from New Jersey and I am shocked how cheap the items are here compared to the northeast states, not to say at premium quality. It kinda reminds me of Wegmens we have, but at a lot better price. I will definitely shop here a lot!!! The only complaint I have is the bathroom is not easy to find and it’s messy. I will empty my bladder at home before I shop.
Market Street is everything:Delicious Hot Meals, Ready to Cook meals, Ready to eat meals; more reasonable than fast food.Groceries: fresh produceGreat variety on meatFantastic Fresh bakery: cakes made to order and ready to take home fresh bakery items!!Pharmacy, florist, wine, etc. . .And best of all great customer service!!!!
Nicer than Kroger and in a great location. They have workers that bring your groceries to your car, load it for you, and then take the cart back; it’s a nice touch.
They sure could do a better job with customer service when answering the phone.
Even if I only have one bag, an employee walks me to my car. I remember when this service was standard when I was younger, but in the days of self check outs, it takes some getting used to. You all are very friendly. The items are a bit pricey, but high quality, like Central Market, but closer to home. There are some generic items that are a good price. My doctor recommended their vitamin department for some specific items, if you are in to essential oils and alternative medicine, you will like this place.
Great place to shop. Good customer service.
I was impressed. It was my first time in the store.
Cole Ternan helped me check out quickly and efficiently. He is really good at his job, he should get a raise .
I just recently started shopping at Market Street. In particular, the location in Allen Texas. Each time I go, its always a pleasant experience. Unlike some of the Grocery Stores, Market Street seem to go out of there way to make the customer feel special. Almost like your in a small town, and its the only grocery store in town. Some what like the old TV show The Andy Griffin Show. Lol. Anyways, the store is always clean, there are tons of choices, and the employees are willing to help with a smile.
I love the Market Street experience! It is exactly what it says, it is a Market where you can buy groceries, fresh cooked food for dinner from subs, custom brick oven baked pizza, gourmet, salad bar, there is even a Starbucks at your service! They have a florist with beautiful selections to choose from to do it yourself, or creations ready to go made in house. Right across from the florist your market has some awesome home decor, candles, fragrances, jewelry, etc. There also a thoughtful concierge desk available to assist you. So there you have it folks, thats Market Street! Dont just take my word for it, please do yourselves a favor and go see for yourselves, you will not be disappointed! 🥰🌈
This store is little further away from my house, but i still come here once in awhile because its bigger and better. I like the atmosphere in the store. They do carry a large selection of baked goods, fresh produce and yogurts... I love yogurt! Check out those individual yogurt bars. They have a hot food bar, starbucks coffee, a salad bar, and freshly baked bread, also sushi. I know it will sound weird but thats the first Market Street store that has hot water in the restroom which is great if you have a baby who needs a diaper change. All mamas out there you know what i mean...
We had a catering order for a party. The service was terrific and the food was delicious. Everyone was so helpful, and made it a great experience.
If you havent visited this location of Market Street your missing out. It has agreat deli counter and wine selection. Overall a great place to shop.
The PERFECT PLACE TO STUDY. Microwave to heat up ready to make entrees. FREE refills on fountain drinks, WIFI, and a Starbucks inside what more could you ask for.
Always busy! Wonderful selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and lots of delicious take home meal options! Love the salad bar too.
My family used to regularly get meals at MS-A before COVID. Recently in the last month we have gotten the catfish plate and today sandwiches from the grill. Both time the food is so overly salty its almost inedible. I thought the first time it was just a bad night but now after today it seems more like a pattern. The quality of both dining experience is so poor compared to the past. NOTE: We actually also purchased breakfast burritos in Plano store last week and they were awful too. Dry, old, bland and poor presentation.
Even though this store is only about two minutes from my house, I try and avoid it. I was excited for a Market Street when I moved to this area, but its just not a great grocery store. They always seem to be out of what I need and the produce is just okay. My biggest pet peeve is that NO ONE is very nice that works there. I mean, NO ONE! I guess they must all hate their jobs, because they all seem terribly unhappy. I gave up smiling and greeting anyone when Im there. You never get anything back in return. I mostly go to Tom Thumb. Its more consistent and the employees are very nice.
The selection was great. Food was ok, until later that night.
I love that place: a huge variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and I am so happy that they have rye bread from Germany! And a lot of other things I couldn’t find in other supermarkets!
It was an experience. Friendly people and nice knick knack items and all at a fair price.
Best grocery store I have shopped at with the nicest staff
This place actually has exceptional customer service and quality service please visit the Allen location
Very good placeGood customer service like family
I love shopping here! The fruits and veggies are beautiful and fresh. Love the organic selections. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They are very mindful of the pandemic and ensure everything is as clean as possible.
Bobby in the cooked food section did an excellent job.
Market street itself was great but we got Starbucks after and got a brown Suger oatmilk latte did not taste good imagine warm soggy cinnamon toast crunch cereal
Great services, and great food 👌 👍 excellent store 👌
Love Market Street. Great selections, but even better staff. Im always greeted and asked if I need help, and having someone help take groceries out to the car is so nice when my hands are full with kids.
This was my first visit to market street even thought I live fairly close. They were recommended from the mom group for cakes. The bakery was no problem and very pleasant. I’m giving one star for the ladies in the gift shop for acting as if I was an inconvenience to them for bringing in my own balloons to be blown up for my son’s birthday.
This place has a extensive seafood and meat market. Food from other countries and thei dairy products.
First of all I would like to start off. God Is Great...walked in after church needed colored number balloons which I needed thinking I was going to have to go elsewhere. Floral went above and beyond for me. Outstanding service 👏 👌 went to bakery Outstanding service as well. Could not find the candle number again Outstanding service went above and beyond. Your employees are great go above and beyond for Outstanding service please recognize them this is one of our favorite stores. Where else can you go and get all you need for a special occasion. Very thankful 🤗🙌
Their fresh quacamole is great! Be sure to check of you are getting the Spicy or regular guacamole as the Spicy packs some heat. The chicken with hatch chili stew I got from the deli was excellent. So good that Im going to try to learn how to make it myself!
For the most part, everyone was polite & helpful. Im glad to see Joshua back. I havent been there in over a year. The salad bar wasnt as good as it used to be. The only real disappointment was the girl working the hot food counter. She seemed put out that she had to wait on me. I almost felt like apologizing for bothering her. She got my chicken fried steak & sides, & walked past the gravy. When I asked her for some, she acted annoyed. I didnt remember that I didnt pay for it there, but when I got out my card, she set me straight, & not in a nice way. Then she sort of tossed the container on the counter at me & walked away. Gee, doesnt Market Street care about customer service anymore? Once upon a time, people said thank you to customers, but it doesnt happen very often anymore.
Its always nice and excellent in special the people working in the food Cort 👌
I had never been in a market street before and went in for Starbucks actually and then after walking inside it was like a food court spot combined with a grocery store. It was really nice.
Upscale, quality offerings but limited brand selections.
I love Market Street for a lot of reasons. First the staff is top notch. This place reminds me a lot of thr grocery stores of my youth. The cashiers and sackers are young students who are learning and earning in an entry level role. They are supervised by managers and supervisors who lead by example. The produce section offers all you are likely to need plus many specialty and organic items. The meat and seafood is great and priced well. It is a more open place than most stores of this kind and has a layout that wont keep you running in circles wasting time.
Its great shopping at Market Street. Produce is always fresh, wide selection of meats and seafood. My favorite is their deli section. Reasonably priced, a variety of prepared foods, and always delicious. The clerks are pleasant, helpful, and polite. Terry, Store Manager, really knows his business. He is professional and always pleasant to see him. Overall, Terry has trained his folks very well.
Fantastic place, and even better people! Im sitting here working from my laptop after my apartment dropped to 55 degrees this afternoon, and all hope for power was lost. It is a pleasant surprise to find Market Street open in one of the worst winter storms. Still, an even better surprise to see how comforting and welcoming they have been to those mobile workers. The latter need a place to charge up and a good wifi connection. Grocery stores are all the same until they go above and beyond during the most trying times. Thank you, Market Street, for keeping your doors open to the community!
I really enjoy shopping here. Love the carryout service. Vegetables are always fresh.
Very busy on weekends! Has some great organic options. Grocery pickup and delivery too.
Love this place so much
Store is clean and well organized. Meat and produce are fresh. Staff are friendly and courteous. Many have been serving since opening. Our friendly neighborhood market
I just love Market Street. They have the freshest produce. I always buy my meats here too because of the excellent quality. Yheir bakery is amazing. Delicious cookies, cakes, breads, etc. Outstanding wine selections and fresh market foods. Also, a wonderful floral market and gift shop.
I like this market street a lot. They have great prepared foods and it seems a better selection of them than the other location in mckinney.
Went to buy some hot food last night. Everyone were wearing masks, except the guy serving/filling the plates
Great place to do all your grocery shopping or a quick lunch also stop by the inhouse Starbucks to meet up with friends
This grocery store is beautiful inside. I love shopping here. The Bogo sales are great. The flower department is my favorite. The smell of fresh flowers is amazing. I bought a huge cat palm for 19.99! The flower bouquets are also priced low and last forever. Its a great shopping experience every time I go.
Nice place to shop but Bakery place not so good of customer service. Twice I was ignored by the employees as I stood up alone for over 7 minutes, they seemed busy creating pastry but completely ignored the buyers of their own making.. 😂
Great place, awesome produce, helpful friendly employees. Ill be back
Love this place. A few produce items I cant find at the bigger chain grocery stores. Plus their craft beer selection is top notch. Oh and I have to say, Ive never had even close to a negative customer service experience.
When they moved into the city we lived in, over ten years ago, I fell in love with Market Street immediately. Since then, Ive shopped at other locations local to my new home city. ALL of the locations are an absolute pleasure to shop at!Walking in to Market Street feels like having a giant pantry separated from your house - yet still, nice and homey feeling. It definitely has a pleasant small town vibe to it.The produce is excellent! The butcher section has much better quality meats than our other local options. Brand selections are similar to other grocery stores, with many options you typically dont see elsewhere added to the mix. I feel like Id do an Injustice trying to describe how delicious the items made in the bakery are... And theBulk aisle, I love it!Anyways, prices are high on everything except meat. Unless you can catch a good sale. So, they lose a point for that. My wife and I typically buy our meat here and grocery shop elsewhere, because of the prices. However, the meat and experience is well worth the trip past a few other grocery stores along the way. We often find a need for some of their groceries that cant be bought anywhere else locally as well.I guess you could say if you like a clean, small home town feeling place to shop - Market Street is for you.If you dont mind paying a slight premium for a very pleasant shopping experience - Market Street is for you.*BONUSAside from employees taking groceries to cars, Market Street keeps all carts out of the parking lots at all times. No accidental dents...
Wow, the service here was amazing. They asked us for paper or plastic, they bagged all the groceries and offered to help take the groceries to the car. Amazing.
I always buy my meat from Market Street. I dont usually buy anything else unless its on there weekly ad. They always have a good stock of eveything and and produce always looks good but its just a bit more expensive than the other grocery stores unless its on sale, but saying that you get what you pay for. There are always shopping carts and there are multiple checkout lanes with actual people not just self checkout. They have a great beer and wine selection and usually they have free samples in the bakery so thats always a plus. All the prepared food I have eaten has always been good. Usually we get our Thanksgiving ham and turkey from market street. The employees walking around are helpful and will walk you too the location where your item is instead of saying its on isle 16 and hope you find it.
Very bad experience with Terry the manager about the sales price on a cheese product.
Usually have great breakfast at market street
Staff is always willing to accommodate.
This is an ideal location for a grocery store and I’m sure that it does very well. But it seems that every time my wife or I shop there, they are out of stock throughout the store. I understood the out of stocks at the beginning of the pandemic, but it’s continued, for months. Not sufficient help? Poor management? I don’t know, but something has to change. It’s hard to believe that this store is owned by HEB, an incredible store to shop in. Central Market is also owned by HEB, and the store on Plano never has the severe out of stocks the Market Street in Allen does.Kroger is more in stock. Tom Thumb is more in stock. What’s wrong with this Market Street?
Overall a nice grocery store. I went here many times during my week long stay at the Delta hotel across the street.
The grocery store looked amazing. I came in to go to Starbucks. The two young girls didnt really seem to know what they were doing. One girl came from the outside and without either one of them washing their hands start making the drinks. I went to the girls and asked when they made our drinks if they could please wash their hands they said of course... Needless to say they never wash their hands.
What an awesome shopping experience. There are great variety, unique selections and affordable prices. Prices are good and staff is amazing, helpful, courteous and resourceful. Highly recommended!
Not as good as it used to be? Seems like much less speciality items.
Great. Love to shop their.
Always so well-organized, clean & filled with cheerful employees! Thanks for working with great enthusiasm on Christmas Eve!
Best meat around. Period.
We started using this location for curbside pick up about two months ago. Super easy and the people that deliver the order to the car are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend them!
Top notch grocery store no doubt about it. But if you really want to be impressed next time you hold a get together order from the catering menu it is awesome!!!Dont get me wrong you can get fabulous food from the counters, top of the line selections and their breakfast bar is always a hit but I absolutely love their catering
Big and clean good products. Little pricey for eggs
Clean, good produce. Great salad bar. Overall, one of my favorite places to get groceries.
Market Street is my favorite grocery store in the area. They have everything from organic food to junk food which you would want! The quality of the products and the layout of the store are perfectly right sized for what I want. I hope market Street expands into other surrounding cities such as Melissa and Anna.
Fresh produce take out food is great and staff is very welcoming love this store
The service in the hot food section where the salad bar is located sucks. Never returning to this store again.
Best supermarket around! Clean, friendly, and great customer service. Prices are a little higher than other stores but, it is worth the slight extra cost for such a pleasant shopping experience!
Its a great store, although its not my favorite location. Helpful employees.
Great groceries, merchandise for a great price. Service was good too.
We love this place for well priced birthday cakes!!
Outstanding customer service. Great produce most of the time.
Bought a fresh pumpkin pie. Love the vibe here!
I honestly would shop here every time I needed something if I was able to. The staff is very helpful
Fresh and affordable produce. Clean place with variety of products. I highly recommend this place for shopping or for dining in or pick up food items.
Not only did I have an exceptional experience every time I visited, but I had an absolutely wonderful experience getting my annual flu shot at this pharmacy. The pharmacist was incredibly kind, and we bonded over how awful our Mirena IUD experiences were while talking about the pain of getting the shot. 10/10 would get stuck with a needle there again
Buy one get one for awesome steaks! Whats not to love?
Everyone always has a smile on their face! And that is hard to come by now with the mask mandate! So that says a lot. 🤩
The pharmacy has very good customer service
Great bakery, but disappointed they dont bake cappuccino muffins say more. For that reason alone it gets 4 stars.Good stuff in the rest of the store.
