Ive been all over the country, and compared to the rest of the coffee shops in the US, this is my favorite coffee shop of all time. This place is super cozy, great coffee, amazing specials, and the beer wall is truly a sight to behold! (Its not currently open due to covid, but its otherwise amazing!!!)

Love their coffee, I just wish they would stir it before passing it out the window. Nothing brightens up your morning like a straight shot of almond syrup at the bottom of your freshly unmixed sunshine latte.

I come here at least once a week and every time the staff has been so kind and the drinks have been delicious! Their seasonal menus are always really creative and interesting, and their summer strawberry chai is one of my absolute favorite drinks I’ve ever gotten here. I recently have started coming inside more to study and I love the upstairs areas, they are the perfect study spaces with relaxing music and comfortable seating. Overall, an amazing local business!

What a great spot! Larger than it appears from the outside. Courteous and helpful staff. New concept to Alton with their self service, you decide how much to pour in your glass craft beer. The have a real nice variety of craft beers to choose from with rotating taps and tap take overs. The second level outdoor deck cant be beat for the view and comfort.They also offer coffee and other goodies.The space is historic both outside and inside. Clean, attractive, well done. An excellent Broadway business addition to Alton.

Sooooo first off, the folks here RAD! Ana and Liz crushed it! Of course the coffee was fantastic 👏 The cold brew is though black, is sweet without being too fruit forward, notes of caramel, cocoa come first, with a subtle cherry undertone. Beautiful beverage. Im impressed by what the local coffee scene is whipping up! The local tarts were DIVINE!!!🧡🧡🧡 Made 2 or 3 doors down they said.Ill be back, most certainly.☕💗

A little spendy, but the quality, service and ambiance make it easily justified

The people are so very kind, the service is fast, and the atmosphere is cozy. It is everything you want in a coffee house.

I heard about the place a lot but this was my first time. Really cool quiet place; perfect for a hot drink in the morning - with friends and family. I dont usually like coffee based beverages but that was the best chilled mocha I have had for years. Also the outdoor terrace is nice but watch out for sunburns.

Excellent coffee today. Had been wanting to try this since pre-pandemic and unfortunately had to wait over a year... Really cool atmosphere with the main area downstairs but also two more private rooms and an outside deck upstairs. Unfortunately, the self serve beer taps are still turned off. There was quite the selection at one point and looking forward to visiting with friends. Maybe by summer, beer will again be an option.

Love they strawberry smoothie. They are always nice. My first time ordering coffee from a coffee and they didnt make me feel stupid when asking questions and they also help pick a coffee base on my preference.

I love this little place, however, I am very disappointed that they decided to discontinue the pistachio matcha. That is the only reason I made the drive to this coffee shop over another.

Extremely nice employees! I ordered a matcha and the manager (Joey I think) had asked me some questions on taste preference so he could make sure I’d love it and even wanted me to try it right there to be sure it was perfect, and it was!! Definitely gonna be returning!

Been here a few times and everything has tasted amazing. The building is absolutely beautiful and there are plenty of places to sit and relax. Prefer it over other coffee shops in the area because theyre open in the evening! Since my boyfriend and I are night owls this is much appreciated!

Ive tried Germainias coffee on 3 separate occasions, a different drink each time, and wasnt really impressed. Always tastes like lots of milk and lots of sweet, but very little espresso. However, the staff is really friendly. Drive up service is fast and efficient. If you are into sweet coffees, this is your place.

Popped in for a coffee and what a delight. The Heath Latte is a seasonal signature drink worth the visit. Really enjoyed the chocolate cranberry energy bite. And the staff are super friendly.

I want to say this is my new favorite coffee shop, staff here and at the other location are as friendly as anyone ever and are fast and efficient. Cant wait to be able to sit inside with some normalcy.

Drive through service is amazing, such a good idea. Have been going to Starbucks the past few months and I can honestly say that Germanias coffee is so much better! I feel bad knowing that Ive been choosing corporation coffee over Germanias! Never again, already looking forward to going back.

Best coffee in Alton, the baristas are by far the friendliest of any of the shops in town. They know our order when we pull up and always seem to be happy.

I stopped by for the first time today and absolutely loved the place! I didnt know what to order, but the baristas recommendation was perfect. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious coffee - I highly recommend!

My family has frequented Germania for coffee over the past several months. However we are very disappointed to discover on our most recent visit that they are no longer wearing masks when serving customers. Unfortunately that means we will have to find somewhere else to get our caffeine fix. Coffee is great, Covid is not.

This is a great, picturesque place for groups to have a good time. Theres a roof deck and so many comfortable, large rooms for people to talk and play the board games available to borrow. It also has friendly, helpful employees, delicious drinks and pastries, beautiful art and decor, and phenomenal owners! It was so convenient to customize a flight of beer and cider with the self pour tap system. The selection of pastries, coffee, chocolate, and tea drinks, shakes, and alcoholic drinks will guarantee theres something for everyone!

So stoked to see they have a sugar free white chocolate mocha! I got me a SF WCM made with oat milk, and it was delicious!Will definitely be back!! 😁

Every thing that a coffee shop should be. Quality drinks, perfect atmosphere, comfy couch, interesting nooks and office areas, even balcony outdoor seating with comfy patio lounge furniture. We got the Pasty, the quiche, and a cinnamon roll. It was exactly what we wanted for breakfast! I would love to come back and try the beers. It was busy, but somehow still quiet while I enjoyed reading my book. The staff were warm and friendly. I wish that I was local.... this would be my spot!

This place is so cute. Its like a combination of a coffee shop and a bar. Im not a beer drinker but their coffee drinks are great. The atmosphere is welcoming and theres a great rooftop hangout area. Its a great spot overall to hang with friends.

Local art decorates this relaxed coffee house. The workers are kind, helpful, and make a great latte. In the evenings they have a selection of self-serve beers, free board games, and occasional live music! Great place to hang out or get some work done.

Great atmosphere out looking the river while sipping delicious custom drinks. I would be very interested in experiencing the self poor beer system they have established. It appears to be a beautiful blend of rustic feel with advanced technology capabilities. Shout out to Micheal for the great service and movie recommendation.

This is a wonderful place to go to when you need almost any type of drink. They have just amazing employees and everyone I come in contact with just greets me with politeness and courtesy. I love going to germania because I can get teas and coffees that other businesses dont carry. The overall vibe of germania is wonderful, its very calm and collective.

Their lattes are not great. They have a really cool atmosphere there. There are a few individual rooms to hangout or work in which could be nice for a study session. There are a few party games available to play and they have special events there often. The bathroom was nice and clean which is much appreciated.

Very comfortable place. The man that was running the register was very polite and funny. The coffee was great will go back. Didnt ask how the beer thing works and seems very small but not over done.

Beautiful shop with wonderful coffee drinks in large sizes. The self serve beer bar and outdoor seating are awesome! I only wish it was set up so I could bring my dog.

Amazing people and the coffee is soooo good. a little secret if you ask and there not to busy you can design your own drink.Germania is a must see when in the area the atmosphere in its self is refreshing. When. You first walk in the door the smell of coffee fills you the smiles from the people around you makes you feel welcome and the music is the perfect fit for the feelings you have. by the time you get to the counter you want to try everything. But no matter what you get its amazing.

Great service and the coffee is amazing and hot! All if the staff are friendly and are truly interested in good service. When I go to other local coffee shops it takes about 30 minutes to be waited on and to receive my order. Brewhaus is fast and friendly!
