I’ve been to other bead stores here in anchorage and I find the Bead Shack to have better options, more knowledgeable, and friendly. This is to not disparage other business, just a personal observation, in that I prefer to find a large selection of beads in a business I don’t feel rushed out of and can talk about bead projects.

The owner is such a friendly lady! I have been a patron for a couple of years now, and I am always excited to visit her shop for a look at new beads, especially trade/antique beads

Love love love this shop. Walked in prepared to buy 2 stones for making 1 pair of earrings, an hour later i walked out with a bunch of beautiful stones. The lady there (i assume the owner) was very sweet and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend this place. My new go to!!

No masks, if you have a vulnerable loved one to care about dont bother shopping here. Its about more than your freedom quit being selfish.

The place is quite small and was full of people but the woman working there was not wearing a mask. Alaska Bead Company not only has a better and bigger selection, but they are also limiting the number of customers, requiring masks and offer hand sanitizer. They are part of the solution not the problem. I will always go to ABC.

I always enjoy my time spent shopping here. The owner is a very nice lady, who has many beautiful beads of all kinds. If you have any questions, all you have to do is ask. Shes quite delightful to talk to.

I love this bead shop!! She has so much to see in this tiny shop. Beautifully laid out and organized. If you dont see it she knows exactly where to find it. Semi precious to artfully designed focal pieces. Size 15 and up in seed beads. Preciosa, miyukis, tilas she really has it all and in every color. Knowledgeble and friendly. A must for anyone who loves working with beads. There is so much to see. She has a little of everything!!

I would live here, and swim in the selection of beads, if such a thing was possible. Glass beads, Plastic beads, Russian beads, Catholic beads and Natural Gemstone beads is available. All of the trinkets you need to put together necklaces, bracelets and rings is also available. Wire, leather cords, fishing lines for beading, hemp cords. I really havent shopped anywhere else for beads and bead findings, and Im in absolute Heaven while my imagination runs wild with endless possibilities to create.

The Bead Shack is amazing!! I have been coming in here for the past year, the very first time I had a vague idea of what I was doing, and Laura helped me find the right supplies for my first project! Now every time I go in, if I have questions I know that Laura will lend some helpful advice! They have a great selection of everything from pendants, needles, thread, beads, stones, seed beads and more! This place is a must see for all crafters and jewelers in AK.

The sole worker behind the counter was not wearing a mask when I entered. I asked “No mask?” She shook her head no and I promptly walked out.Alaska Bead Company on Tudor is strictly following masking policy and currently only allowing 4 customers at a time inside. I’d rather shop somewhere that cares about my health.

I love coming here, theres so much selection. Ive always had a hard time finding my favorite stones (labradorite and moonstone) in bead shops, but they have so many sizes of beautiful briolettes and strands.

Very interesting bead shack, with tons of variety and products. Disappointed that there was nothing handmore from locals. Customer service was annoyed when I had ideas of my own.
