Dedrick was a joy to work with! During our car buying experience, my wife and I had searched countless dealerships. Walking into Continental Mazda was a breath of fresh air! We entered with the intention of learning about a couple of used CX-3s we test drove at other lots. The cars were nice but we really wanted to hear the opinions from an actual Mazda specialist before we pulled the trigger. Dedrick laid out the pros and cons with ease. I think he got the sense he could do us one better. Follow me! Dedrick said. A quick jaunt down the lot and we were met with the 2021 CX-30. I looked over at my wife and her gaze held the same expression. Are we about to buy this thing? It was perfect. If you want to go into the details of the CX-30 Ill let you do that on your own time. The point is, we had no idea this thing existed and here it was. Everything we needed. Better, newer, and much to our surprise a far better price than what the competitors were asking! The rest of the process was made simple. Dedrick presented a friendly, low pressure style that inspired confidence in our purchase. We are thankful we stumbled upon him and the Continental Mazda team!

I wish I could give a higher review, because the sales staff I worked with were excellent and I had a great service experience getting new tires put on the truck I bought. However, getting my title and license plates has been an absolute nightmare. Multiple phone calls have gone unreturned, emails ignored, and now my temporary plates are expired and I am left without much I can do about it. I had told them very specifically when I was buying the vehicle that I would be moving, and they still mailed my title and plates to the wrong address. Trying to get this corrected has now gone on for over 2 weeks, and still no solution in sight. Extremely frustrated and disappointed after what had been a great purchasing experience.

I had a great experience buying a car today. Their pricing was competitive and their selection was great. But what made it so good was the customer service. The folks there do not work for commission and it shows. There was none of the typical back and forth bs, and never did I feel pressured into signing immediately. Great experience today.

Took my 2011 Mazda 6 in this morning - my lowbeam bulbs had died and when I looked up the process to replace them on YouTube, I realized I would much, MUCH rather pay someone with the tools and expertise to do it for me. From start to finish everything was wonderful - from setting the appointment, to the shuttle driver who dropped me off at work. Prices were clearly explained (and reasonable!) and the complimentary car wash was a lovely touch.

Shanie is such a neat lady! Great employee for Volvo. The service guys are nice, esp. Roy (who I know best). Please make sure you read your buying contract carefully, though, on whats included. We paid for the climate package with our new Volvo and verbally discussed the auto start in detail (how important it is to have auto start in Alaska, etc) with the sales person but he never mentioned that auto start was not included in the climate package, so that was a disappointment. It was deceiving by omission, even if the burden was on us to read the contract more carefully. So we had to fork out another +$600 for auto start... But the staff is great and their shuttle driver very nice, too.

Staff was friendly and professional. Very polite. No intercoms either which is nice- Everyone looked pulled together and professional. The service desk was very friendly and on top of the paperwork- everything was done on time. The mechanics looked professional and pulled together. I could see into the shop. It was clean and tidy. I liked being able to see the technicians working on the vehicles. I knew my vehicle was being treated with care. The service shuttle driver was also very friendly and professional. I didnt have to wait to be driven to work. It was very fast. I love love love my Volvo. . The service I received from the dealership is everything I would expect from a Volvo shop.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I purchased my 2015 Mazda 6 this past summer In June . 3 months after purchasing the vehicle, it breaks down on me ( the timing belt needed to be replace as well as other parts) Continental Nissan agreed to pay the cost for me since it wasnt covered under warranty (dealership that sold me the car) and that it only been a few months of me purchasing it. 3 months later, which happened to be last weekend, the car breaks down on me again (the coil had to be replaced) !!!. sure enough, it wasnt covered under warranty. My service advisor was Shanie. Man, Ive never EVER in my life experienced the type of customer service from anyone like that before. Shanie had to be the most RUDE and disrespectful person ever. long story short, she told me what was wrong with the vehicle and that I was having to pay out of pocket. I told her that I wasnt going to pay for it and that Id take it up with the dealership who sold me that vehicle. She refused to service my vehicle. I asked to speak with a manager and she lied to me and told me that she was the manager and that there was no one above her that was in charged and HANGED UP the phone on me. I called back to ask to speak with the director, RICH....he seemed like he didnt care and told me Shanie, had a long day, dont mind her rudeness and that the reason she acted that way she did was because I had spoken loud to her first. are you kidding me?!?!. All in all, I ended up getting my car fixed at no cost as well as an oil change. Theyy told me the reason for me paying at no cost because it was a one time thing and that it was just a good gesture. Good gesture ? really??. I deserved to have that paid for, not only 1, from me just purchasing the darn car not within 6 months it breaks down on me twice !! and to have dealt with the most shittiest customer service ever. Shanie, needs to get fired . Someone needs to do some sort of disciplinary action. If my car happens to ever break down again, Im trading it in at another dealership because I DO NOT ever want to go back to continental Mazda ever again.Oh and to add; what was the whole point of me purchasing an expensive, high warranty up to 100, 000 miles if NOTHING that has happened wasnt going to be covered!?!??!!?!!?!

I had been searching for a car that fit my needs. I went for dealership to dealership and got the same mediocre service. I gave each dealership the same information and none have me the wow factor. That is, until I went to Continental Mazda.I started with Ricky. One of the most passionate sales representatives Ive met in a long time. Right away, he understood my needs and showed me exactly what I was looking for. Surprised that it was that quick, I left for a few hours to look at another competitor and was not impressed.Needless to say, I can back and spoke to Ed at Mazda since Ricky was gone. Ed called Ricky to let him know he will help me out. Ed did an amazing job showing me the selection I made earlier. He understood my needs and tied the car to my needs. Because he understood this was big purchase, he made sure to inform us about everything possible, and I really appreciate that. I will never take my Mazda anywhere else but here. I cannot describe how amazing everyone is there. I dont have mechanical issues with my car, however the one time there was a noise coming from the engine and the mechanics dont treat me like some dumb girl. They explained everything to me, they took their time with me and with my car. When I bring my car in for routine maintenance they always are so friendly. Isiah deserves employee of the year 20 times over again. I am always so happy when I leave Mazda. Great customer care, and amazing mechanics.

My most recent experience at Continental Volvo was really great. I have to admit that after buying my Volvo in 1999 and having it serviced at Continental for a few years, I choose to find another facility because the customer service had become so poor. In the last few years I had reason to give Continental another shot and I am so glad I did, because now it is just a great experience all the way around. Shanie is worth her weight in a gold. She took the time to explain to me all the technical details about my repair, helping to fill in gaps with things I didnt understand. She returned my calls promptly, my car was always ready when she said it would be, if not sooner, or she made sure to call me if anything had changed. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful.Even the shuttle experience has improved greatly.Thanks again for focusing on customer service again your efforts have made a huge difference.

This is the best place in town. Surprisingly the cheapest labor rate for a Mazda! Local shops charge more. I bought a Tribute with high miles. I cant afford all of the repairs it needs, but the mechanic that worked on my suv here is the best, and the service department works with what I can do.

Continental Auto Group has hands down been the best experience I’ve ever had when purchasing a new vehicle. I have purchased two cars from Continental Honda/Acura and just had my first experience with Continental Mazda this past weekend. My husband was in the military for 10 years and we have purchased cars all over the country from North Carolina, Utah, Hawaii, Virginia, as well as from multiple dealerships in Anchorage. Nothing compares to the treatment I have continuously received from Continental over the years. The sales staff is incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, and most importantly, competent. I received a great price on my new Mazda CX-5 and when I told the staff I was in a time crunch, they did what they could to expedite the process for me! Overall a wonderful experience. I will continue to recommend Continental to friends and family who are in the market for a new car.

Im feeling very ripped off. I brought my daughters XC90 in for a flat tire repair. I couldnt change it myself because the rear lift gate was broken. I thought, while it was in, Id surprise her and get the gate fixed but, before I did, I asked for an estimate. Later that day I got a call with a verbal estimate but parts would have to be ordered. When I went to pay for the tire I was shocked to hear that they were charging me $111 to prepare the estimate! When I got home I found out that my daughter had already gotten an estimate from them months ago. It was for a lot LESS MONEY and at NO CHARGE! In almost 50 years of car repair experience this was the first time I have ever been charged for an estimate. WHAT A RIP-OFF! To add insult to injury, when I went to pick up the car I didnt even get a copy of the estimate leaving me in doubt that they ever even did one. I doubt if I will go back there. Im reasonably certain theres more honest Volvo repair places in Anchorage.FOLLOW UP: Within an hour after this posting I got a call from both Paul, the service writer, and Tim, the service manager. Both apologized for charging me for an estimate and my $111 was later refunded. Tim also committed to reviewing the estimate for the repair and getting back to me. A week later Im still waiting. I also notice that my one star rating is not visible on the website which seems to me that only the good reviews are being published publicly.

I have had two very different experiences with the Continental Group. My first experience was in purchasing a used Forester from Continental Subaru. Pricing was fair to the point of getting a set of tires at no cost because the price was set before a safety inspection.This spring I purchased a used Outback from the Mazda division and had a very different and disappointing experience.Based on my previous dealings with the Subaru side I took the sales teams word when they told me that while the timing belt had not been replaced on the car I was purchasing there had been a visual inspection of the belt and a compression check. After consulting the service department after the sale I was told this had not happened. I immediately had the car checked by a local mechanic in Homer and was told there was a leaky head gasket. I immediately had to address this and replace the timing belt, thermostat, etc. while that work was being done. During the sale I was told that I could not see the previous maintenance records because they were in someone elses name. That could be policy I guess but I feel like that is where me getting sold a car with some maintenance issues not disclosed started.I walked onto the Mazda lot as a returning customer, ready to take the word of the sales staff. That is how I do business in Homer, using trust and loyalty with my sub-contractors and repeat customers so that everyone comes out with a fair deal.After my experience with the Mazda division of Continental I feel like I was a stupid, out of town buyer. It is all on me but I certainly have changed my outlook of the company and would have to hear from someone about how I would be treated differently in the future. I plan on purchasing two more single owner Subarus in the next two years and now have to look outside the State at some other options. I would be happy to tell someone about my experience if they want to hear about it.

Every time I come in to get something routine (oil change, headlight replaced) they try to make it sound like my vehicle will fall apart immediately unless I shell out hundreds of dollars to fix something else. I overheard the counter staff trying to convince several different people (via telephone) that their car was URGENTLY in need of several repairs and that you could go somewhere else, but its going to cost you XYZ anyways in AK. This person is not a licensed mechanic who actually inspects the vehicles in question, they are just a desk jockey who apparently makes commission off scamming people into thinking there is a world-ending crisis. The old lady at the counter is worse, last time she tried to sell me a special deal to coat the underside of my vehicle for only $699!!! to protect it from rocks and rust. I gently reminded her that this is Alaska. Save your money and get a second opinion before you fall victim to their incredibly conniving business tactics. They say there is a sucker born every minute, hopefully you wont be one of them.

Bought a used Subaru from these guys a while back. Vehicle was about $2,500 overpriced as advertised. Test drove it, was honest with the sales person and they gave me $2,000 off. Check your Blue Book values! Got the vehicle information from CarFax which also helped me figure out what repairs had already been completed which saved me some $$$.Two issues = 4 stars:1. Caliper was replaced by service department and was leaking brake fluid after test drive. I noticed and brought it up, they provided a free repair before taking the vehicle off the lot (vehicle was As-Is, no warranty so Im glad I did this). Issue has not recurred. LOOK OVER used vehicles before purchasing!2. Financing took a while even though we were more than well-qualified for that small of an amount.

Have only ever looked at cars here, but have dealt with 2 guys who were pushy and rude. Both tried to tell me untrue things to make a sale. How good is a salesman who tells you that a Volvo can only run for 200,000 (when yours is at 193,000)? Other guy tried to get me in a new Volvo for 500 a month, not mentioning it would be a longer loan. I did talk with a saleswoman there, Sarah, who was really nice. Wasnt pushy at all and spent a long time with me, answering questions and showing me different models, even when I told her outright I was just looking. Dont know about their mechanics. Im partial to Independent Auto down the road who laughed at Volvos only going 200,000 miles...Update: I purchased a brand new XC70 here a few weeks ago and worked with Sarah. As mentioned before she was incredibly easy to work with. I appreciated her laid back demeanor and the fact that she was not pushy. After I purchased she took me through the features and help me set everything up. I love my new car! Its crazy fancy and probably smarter than it should be.Service Update: not impressed. I think they forget that not all customers live in Anchorage. Also they didnt seem fazed to let me drive a car without airbags for the next week while parts come in. Ended up leaving my car and flying home. If it wasnt for my car being under warranty I wouldnt go back.

Scheduled replacement of windshield, supposed to happen in the morning between 8 am and Noon. Called at 1pm to see if my car was done, NO, no it wasnt. The company that does the windshield installation never showed up - but gee I could go through the whole process of dropping off and being without a car on the following day AND maybe somebody would show up to fix it.Waste of time.

To the manager of the Continental Mazda/Volvo/Suzui Service Department: Shanie Pettengill, Service Consultant, is a huge asset to your department. What a great employee she is! She deserves to hear this every time she steps behind the service counter. We bought a Volvo in 2011 and have brought it in 4-5 times for regular maintenance. The Service Dept is a busy place and it has always amazed me how unflustered she is. Phones are ringing, shes attending to mechanics with questions, customers are lined up, etc... and yet she maintains such a cheerful attitude and calm composure. Along with her superb customer service she has a great knowledge base about car maintenance. It is my hope that she frequently hears what a great job shes doing . Working for the military their is a level of value and honor -trusting that Contenental would honor thier repretation of taking care of their customers was an overstatment to say the least. After they took my $$$ not only did they not take care of me they took advantage of me and didnt honor what they said. Here is the facts-1. Said I would be their for 2 hrs waiting for financing it was 6 hrs2. Sticker price initially $23,000.00 - found out after it sells high-end $18,000.3. Put $5000.00 dwn and was told .. couldnt get my downpayment back if i took back car- thats not true for Alaska.4. Sold w/ Auto start key as part of the deal - their is NO AUTO START! Sales rep lied and then said he would pay for it from his own pocket if contenental wouldnt. To add more insult to injury, after my financing and $5000.00 of my deposit i left out with a 2010, $29,000 and some change vehicle....I have told EVERYONE not to buy from this dealership. I hoped they would resolve my concerns but their only real response was... You signed an contract.
