The store was very neat and clean. The only weird thing is the curvy drive into the parking lot.

Have everything ready to see, good prices, some time I have to substitute but ok with that.

Love the prices and most of the food items are awesome! We always do our regular shopping here, especially since they have several food items my mom can have. She has multiple food allergies which can make grocery shopping difficult but Aldis definitely makes it a lot easier!

When you have five or six check-out aisles and people standing in line 10-15 deep and only one aisle open.... I have an issue.

Clean store and always stocked with fresh produce. The staff are friendly and helpful if you ask questions. However they so not know much about where located or if the items are available.

I was so excited when ALDI came to Ankeny. With fresh produce, meats and quality shelf items surpassing other chain stores, ALDI can’t be beat. I usually leave the store surprised at the savings and the number of deals I found. The only caution I can give is be careful of name brand items as they often aren’t the best deals. Here, house brands are king!

Aldis Ankeny is the jam. Not only will you find great prices on food, but all the weird, or unique things you never knew you needed.I feel very safe visiting during this global pandemic. Masks are required by staff and patrons.

You cant beat the prices. Produce and meat are often extremely underpriced compared to hyvee. Produce is mostly very good, but I havent found their avocados to be that great.Marinated salmon is delicious and a good price point.Limited variety and a small, sometimes crowded store. Go during nonpeak hours.

The best crew, the best place

Very good prices, if you dont mind name-brand products, for the most part. Really no-frills, bare bones place, but the low prices are worth it. Biggest criticism is that product availability is not consistent, sometimes you find something really good, only to not find it again. But the common items are generally available, so its not a huge problem. Overall, well worth it to get most items.

Clean spacious, reasonable prices, good selection of organic foods and a nice variety of different snacks and drinks.

Each and every time I come to this store, theyre out of something! This time around, for the last two plus weeks, Ive been trying to get their uncured beef franks, as my kids love em. But, yep, not in stock. And Im not sure where other reviewers are getting friendly employees. Every time we go in we get non-engaging zombies. When this location opened there were some personable cashiers, but none recently. Maybe were coming in on the wrong shift, I suppose.Target is still the best store to get groceries at in Ankeny. Its very clean, they always have what I need and also have friendly service. I dont mind paying a bit extra for that!

I really like the food prices and the pre-made pizza is way better than HyVee or even Walmart, they dont always keep the shelves stocked like the other stores though.

I am always one to be skeptical of ALDI, but I was not disappointed with this location. It’s clean, fresh, and always has a lot of choices. There are plenty of good items to choose from and their frozen section has some of the best quick meals I have found. The people are friendly. I will return often because my cupboards and fridge are now quite full.

Love how much this store has, it’s always well stocked and kept cleaned. The aisles are kept clear from clutter. They offer some mainstay products and a great rotation of seasonal selection. Prices are kept low as you bag your own purchase. Bring your own bags as they cost a few cents but are high quality. The carts take a quarter to use but you get it back if you return it to the corral.

Ive always gotten a great deal at Aldis. Their produce is great and the prices are low. I have also bought a lot of clothing and accessories at very reasonable prices.

Nice clean store, helpful staff, great prices and you can find some unusual items that are great quality. We love the differend kinds of cheese they carry. The white cheddar cranberry during the holidays was fantastic!

Absolutely one of my favorite places to shop. This company are able to sell their products cheap because the business is run very smart. I do not consider their brand generic as the quality is as good if not better than most of your top name brands. If you are looking to save money on household essentials, this place is right for you. Also shopping their on a wed. Or Thur. Is ideal for the maximum discounts you can find. This is when they bring new product in and try to get older product out. Look for the red stickers for these deals. Highly recommend giving them a try! You will be amazed at the quality for the prices they offer their products!

I love this store. If you dont know to, bring a quarter to insert in your cart. You get it back when you return it. This is great because theres never any just lingering to door ding you. You also need your own bags. There are boxes there if you need. You can also purchase bags.

I love Aldis. The Ankeny store is clean and well stocked. The lighting is good, the produce and fresh and there are always great seasonal items. They have a good selection of organic foods. The customer service has been great each time Ive been there.

This is a new Aldis and its a very nice store. I get all of my paper plates, napkins, garbage bags, plastic wrap etc. here. Way cheaper and the quality is as good as brand names. Been buying quite a bit of chicken here as well when its on special. The produce is also good.

I was actually surprised how much stuff I can find here. And its SO MUCH CHEAPER! Dont forget your quarter for a cart (that you get back) and your own bags.

A discount grocery store that has great produce and very competitive prices. New store, spacious, well lighted, clean, friendly, helpful staff. Selection of some items is limited.

I really like the Ankeny Aldi. Very good selection. Great employees! I was trying to get my 14 year old to be responsible and employee felt sorry for him and helped him. Kind soul. 👌

Granted, it opened 2 days ago, but, this was, by far, the nicest ALDI I have ever been in. The place was busy as all heck but the staff already were knowledgeable and very helpful. And, I forgot just how much I can save there. I spent half of what I usually do at the other store, helpful for a single dad.

Limited selection, but prices that work well on a budget. A decent variety of different vegan products. I like the European feel the store has, staff is nice.

Best grocery store in polk county.

Aldis is a no frills store. Name brands are generally not found, but unknown named items are. Our family has found some real gems, like juice, take and bake pizza that are second to none. Give it a shot, take your own shopping bag, and dont forget the quarter for the cart!

When shopping for someone else, I did not like having to guess how many bags I needed as they charge you for each bag.

Aldi is the best grocery store for almost everything the meat is awesome the veggies are fresh and best of all they pay their employees well. If you really want to support local shop at Aldi they take care of their employees.

Wide variety of food and products from fresh produce to meats and wine. The staff is friendly and helpful and constantly replacing sold items. There is plenty of parking available with easy access and the store is highly visible on the east side of the road. Credit cards are accepted.

Aldi is a great store, they maintained their fair pricing while improving their selection. Some of the legacy stores still need updating though.

Very nice store & very friendly staff! First time Id been there and was VERY impressed!

The worst ever experience I got comparing to shopping from other places (Costco, Hyvee, Wholefoods, World Market Vons, Albertsons, Safeway, Trader joes, Ralphs ). This happened on February 14, Valentines day evening few minutes before 8pm or at 8pm exactly, the store was just closing; this employee (Mikaela) she was at the door and she saw me coming in to the store and she quickly got into entrance door and locked it without even looking to me and apologizing for closing. that was the most unprofessional behavior I ever witnessed in anywhere in the world. Why should i go back to this place. Customers are the main reason that the store is open and working, and because of such a sick attitude, store will close and loose its business.
