I worked with Victoria and Andrew and they were both extremely pleasant, professional and helpful. The facility is really well set up an extremely easy to get in and out of I would definitely recommend this facility and the great staff.

Moved out 26 days prior to the next billing cycle on the 1st. Was told the account is prorated to start my account. As for closing the account there is no proration. When asked if I still have my unit for the remaining 26 days I was told no.

I highly recommend AAA Storage in Ankeny for you storage needs. We rented a medium sized outdoor unit for a our move. The unit was clean and easy to access. The property seemed very secure. The manager I worked with, Andrew, was awesome to work with from start to finish.

This is the cleanest, conveniently set up and professionally run of any storage facilities I have used. I highly recommend it.

Awesome customer service!! We had another unit rented and we got there after they closed on a Saturday. AAA Storage was the only place open until 5:00 pm. We called and was told if we headed over right away he would wait for us but we had to hurry as he had another engagement. We got everything signed quickly and got a better internet special, as thats how we found them, than the other place. Thank you so much for helping us out of a tight spot!! We would recommend based solely on their customer service!

Great facility! Great location! Clean and easily accessible units. Great customer service! Andrew helped me get set up, explained everything I needed to know, and took me around to my unit to make sure I was able to use my passcode and find my way ok. Very positive experience! I believe the woman who helped my boyfriend and I was named Jane and let me tell you she was nothing short of superb. She made the process quick and painless, and were in the middle of a move that is very stressful. She didnt over sell us on a unit she listened to our needs, asked questions and found the perfect unit for us. Alwhile complimenting me and marking me feel at ease. Also very convenient and saved me a trip to the store for a pad lock and packing tape! Thank you would recommend!

Great service and superb facilities.

From start to near finish, this has amounted to a bad experience for me. From the wonky key pad awkwardly placed to their policy to trap people in their facility involuntarily at night...the place has caused me a lot of unnecesary frustration. When it rains, the concrete driveways between storage units becomes a small river. The dampness seems to follow the concrete break lines for the floor of the unit...making it very damp inside. The lip they created on the concrete in the unit doorway is a tripping hazard. Which i tripped on several times in moving my items into storage, coming too close to injury for my comfort. There were a few handicapped accessible units, but they were too expensive for my budget. These people would have done well to make them all user friendly, with a softer incline and pull strap closure for us shorter folks. Ever try to reach a garage door that has been pushed all of the way up, without a way to close it without a ladder? The narrow isles; while accessible are a hassle to make sharp turns. Their construction crew ( for their newer addition to the south) consistently park right in front of my unit...although fairly friendly about moving their vehicles. Just wondering if they had considered their slight inconvienience of parking someplace else where they might need to walk a few more feet to their cars. Although they did have an offer for one month free after renting, it amounts to having to wait a while to get it; which means my stuff us sitting longer in their mildew-prone units outside. I dont mean to be a killjoy, but getting involuntarily imprisoned in their outdoor storage facility behind the thick steel gates within was a frightening experience for me. I tried to reach them by phone to let me out ( when the keypad said no late exit), by both phone and text, but was unable to reach them. My call was never returned, so i had to call the police to try to help let me out of their facility, where i was trapped. I soon realized what a dangerous situation this could be for a person with a serious health problem. Also, i needed to use the bathroom, but there was no restroom outdoors in the now closed facility. The police arrived on the opposite side of the fence, but had to wait a while to contact the owner or manager fir a special secret code for him to enter into their keypad at the facility entrance. It is the same keypad i had used to enter the storage facility that night...where i dropped off some final items into my unit from a long, arduous move, from which i was extremely exhausted AND alone at night...now trapped in their facility. Apparently, i am not the only person this has happened to. It made me wonder if they had privately contracted the police to let people out since their policy is to imprison customers if they are late when leaving. I was given lame excuses by the manager who had heard about the incident. Apparently, hthe owners had been vandalized or had construction materials stolen during their new construction project to build more units. I understand the concept of wanting to keep material belongings from getting stolen, and protecting property...which most of us would want. However, putting my life or well being at risk in order to procure their agenda is not a good or safe business practice in my opinion! I am a customer; which is considered to be an assett to most businesses whose goal includes making money! I am a paying customer with an excellent credit rating. I am a contributing member of the community and society. But even if i were not, i still pay my bills...including rent! I had a deadline to meet...but found that instead...i was trapped in their substandard storage facility ( which was causing me a hardship) without a way out, other than calling the police ( who also had to wait for their management/ owners who were unavailable for a while. Not the way i would have wanted to spend a Saurday night either. With those things considered...their policy is idiotic, poorly planned, dangerous, and inconsiderate to their loyal paying customer.
