Best bagels in town! Even better is that theyre not rock hard the next morning like so many other places. Sandwiches, muffins, soups... so much on their menu. Coffees! Check them out...love the breakfast sandwich myself anytime of day.

I LOVE the variety of flavors of bagels and cream cheese here! Its absolutely unrivaled. The scallion cream cheese is a standout. Plus, a huge pleasant surprise: their smores cookies are the best in town??? They get them from Davids cookies so theyre not made in store but theyre so good

Best bagels in town. First time back since the renovation was completed. Very nice, appears a lot bigger with nice dining area and better customer flow. Glad they kept the window to the bakery in back, wish they still had the viewing steps that I used as a kid nearly 30 years ago and the next generation has enjoyed as well.

Always a good assortment, and fresh lox. I like their deli sandwiches too. Mostly nice high school kids work there.Last stop for good bagels until Chicago. And it’s the northern most point of the Lox-Grits line

Nice place to get bagels, breakfast, lunch or dinner. We enjoyed the bagel sandwiches. The ambiance was not as nice as other Barry Bagels but this is great for carryout.

Great bagels, average coffee and service - it took almost 15min for them to complete two egg and cheese bagel sandwiches with only one other customer in the shop which seemed like a little too long of a wait. I think I’d go back for the bagels though because they are definitely tasty, especially if I’m ever in need of a large bagel order!

We have been planning to try this place for a bit now. We would have ordered the day we discovered it but currently they are doing curbside only and it was going to be an hour and a half wait...for bagels 😳I am glad we came back with a plan, the bagels are really good. The bagel dog was good too. I would have liked jalapeno cream cheese on my bagel, but couldnt find a way to make it work with their online order system.Ill go again, probably when I can go in and order...I just feel like it will be easier.

I came in today for lunch, and go to order at the counter. I stand there for several miunets and no one says a word to me, or looks up, so I figure I must need to go to the register to order. As I walk up to the register a woman and her 2 kids walks up an immediately gets served, the worker even waited for her kids to decide their order. The cashier tells me I cannot be served at the register. I tell her I had been waiting and no one helped me. She then makes a variety of excuses and tells me to go to the back of the line. Line cutters and workers who help them anger me a great deal. Then, i get back to work and my order is incorrect. Awful service, please avoid.

They have the most amazing bagels with so many flavors and super fresh, best I’ve had!! Everything they have is quality and made fresh. Their breakfast sandwiches are my favorite! This is a great local place where everyone is nice and friendly!

Best bagels in Southeast Michigan. Favorites are cinnamon vanilla & asiago. They are as committed to keeping employees safe as they are customers. Delicious flavored cream cheeses and generous servings.Great muffins, sandwiches. Good variety of beverages including flavored coffees, soda, and cider when in season. Excellent service. Only item Ive ordered but would not get again is the hashbrown-not flavorful or crispy, only tasted grease.

My family and I love to come and get bagels here. My boys favorite is the feta and spinach Bagel. We also Love that they have a ton of different cream cheese spreads available. There is a nice little sitting area, they have different types of coffee and lattes, they also have other drinks. A great place to work with free Wi-Fi.

Their bagels are tiny, not filling, and over priced. I have a micro, I whipped it out and it’s bigger than the bagels at Barry’s bagels.

Building is closed for remodeling, forced to do curbside-Website didnt work for two phones,just looped and looped when trying to place order, had to call in order which was frustrating and inconvenient sitting on hold. Ordered bagels double toasted, both were barely toasted. Asiago bagel has 0 asiago on top -Pretty much was a plain bagel. Hash brown was soggy. Curbside person wasnt very friendly. Wont be back.

Depressed staff. Dark and drabby space. High prices. The only redeeming factor are the bangles that are only slightly better then what you could at the grocery store across the street. Did I mention that they where out of stock of many item and some of there machines where down?

I have experimented with bagels in A2 and come to the decision that this establishment is, in fact, the best place to get the best bagel.The bagels are airy, chewy, and has the slightest crisp layer for that little extra crunch. There is a vast amount of flavors to choose from, making your decision that more difficult.The environment is laughable of how much it reminds me of the “Solo 90’s cup,” that everyone is familiar with. The place could use a nice modern update, but then again I suppose many would like to keep it the way it has been for years. Even so, great place for a great bagel.

Always fresh and delicious! I’ve never had any issues during the 20+ years that I’ve been coming here... not a single mess up on my food and no crusty bagels!! This place is amazing.

During the past month my brother and I pretty much ordered at least 2-3 times a week breakfast from Barrys Bagels and we are addicted! The prices are really cheap, amazing quality and the food tastes amazing! They have a great variety of bagels and wraps and theyre even tailored for people with gluten allergies! I completely recommend everyone to go at least once to Barrys Bagels if youre in the area, and trust me that you will love it!

I bought 2 quarts of chicken soup, that was filled with all liquid, and very little vegetables and chicken. I was very disappointed. It was a rip off!

First time stopping in, and boy was I impressed!!! A wide variety of bagels and cream cheese flavors. All made from scratch and the choices we had this morning were delicious!! Sad I dont live in town, but will definitely make this a stop every time I come in town.

When I entered, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the establishment and its well-maintained appearance. The staff were polite, helpful, and professional. They had a great selection of items on display for sale, all of which looked appetizing. I ordered the eggel with meat and cheese, as well as the bagel with cream cheese-- both are delicious and of the highest quality someone can expect. I look forward to bringing my SO here for breakfast in the future! Bravo!

I wish they had a better system for picking up food. I always call in and I regularly have to stand around waiting for someone to help me. Only for the person to hand me a bag a foot in front of me. Food is fantastic. My favorite sandwich spot. But it always rubs me the wrong way having employees walk by my food and say well be right with you. If they just handed me the bag instead of saying that Id have been out of there.

Im a Doordasher and normally I like this place. To day the staff is being really rude, complaining about all the doordashers and I have been waiting for over 20 minutes for my order. I understood why I had to wait when it was backed up but now I am the only one here. I they intentionally not making my order? What is going on?

Amazing bagels! I just recently found out about this place. Its always busy but its so worth it. Plan accordingly if youre going, there will be a line. But it moves quick. The bagels are fresh and the Eggels are DELICIOUS! I love this place!!! Get your Reward card too.

I have never had so many delicious bagels before! My wife told me we needed to stop here on the way to see her parents. I didnt want too, but I am so glad I did! Its a really big bagel shop and you can see people making bagels! I am very picky about food and we got a handful of different things to try. I loved the everything bagel and we ended up getting some cookies. everything was really good! Highly recommend this place! I would give it more stars if I could!

Food is good as well as prices. Attentive service and fast preparation. However, Im taking two stars since the eating place really need some remodeling and looks somewhat dirty. I kept an eye on preparation areas which seemed ok... but the counter is so tall! Restrooms are ample but also need some remodeling too.

We found this place by accident. My daughter and I moved to Michigan from New York in 2013. As you might know, New York has the GREATEST Bagels, Bread and Pizza in the USA. I have to say, Barrys is very comparable. The Bagels are awesome!!! We got some awesome bagel sandwiches here and we will DEFINITELY be back. Not only are the Bagels awesome but the staff is the nicest group of people. I recommend everyone in Michigan go try them out. I promise you wont be disappointed!!!

Employee named Jaredd became verbally abusive towards my wife when he could not find our orders. We had correctly placed them online, they misplaced them and another employee found them. He yelled at my wife to the point of making her cry.

Expect a line, but it moves quickly. So many bagel options and cream cheese. A lot of people come here and get a dozen or more bagels as it’s $12 for 14 bagels! Also right next to the Ann Arbor library, so a good place to grab a bagel before heading into the library.

Classic Ann Arbor eats! Lots of options for bagels and sandwiches, different flavors of cream cheese, and various salads and baked goods. Though I tend to order the same few things when I come here, I would have plenty of ways to branch out if I wanted to. Staff are usually friendly and helpful. Sometimes the wait can be long, especially at major meal times. Definitely worth the wait though, if youre hungry and looking for a delicious bagel.

So today I went in to purchase a couple of bagels and a few muffins... I knew they would be in the bag for at least an hour before I got to my destination and for a snap 2nd I thought O Ill have to tell this young man not to put those 2 bagels together in the same plastic bag! But then I thought oh no of course he knows that Its like bagels 101....well..I now have a vanilla cinnamon swirled bagel that smells like Asiago cheese 🤨

The best bagels in town- their cinnamon vanilla is the standard I compare every other bagel shop to, and Im lucky its here. The chocolate muffins.. to die for.This is a townie favorite that hasnt changed a bit since my childhood. Therefore they operate like a neighborhood store- theres usually a line and no one is really hurrying. Its not fancy, you wont see any avocado toast on the menu.. but thats not why youre there. Its for the awesome bagels and the local feel.

Great establishment! Their jalapeno cream cheese is the best spread Ive ever had. They can get pretty busy in the morning but if you call in your order it saves you from waiting. Ive heard they have great lunch specials too. I love using their rewards card Im looking forward to getting my first free dozen (14).

I had been enjoying a Barrys bagel daily until this morning when I was wrongly accused of stealing from the tip jar. I tip $20 weekly on payday, which I made sure I was seen leaving for Barrys unkind employees, even though I was rudely asked to leave without my order.

I love this place, I cant even remember how long Ive been coming here, easily 20 years or more. They have the absolute best everything bagel and the chili is some of the best around. I get big quarts of it in the winter to take home or to work. There is a reason why the lines are long; bagels are just really, really good. If Im in a hurry, I order online and its ready when I get there. Awesome staff, awesome food!

These are hands down my favorite bagels in Ann Arbor. They are cooked perfectly, have a ton of delicious varieties and are leagues above the Zingermans bagels that people in Ann Arbor rave about. I knocked them down a star because they dont offer plant based/dairy free cream cheese, and their soups are nothing to brag about. The location is cool though and you can watch the process in the back.

Best bagels in Ann Arbor. Good service but can be a little slow but Im fine with it because I can let my kids watch the bagels being made. Tasty chili, the raspberry lemonade is also really good. The drip coffee left much to be desired. Giving four stars because of the coffee selection--offer local brew like Roos Roast!

We started coming to Barrys because we used to buy our bagels on Flatbush Ave. and you cant find those bagels anywhere else. Well, after our visit today, thats apparently still the case, as the bagels we purchased were not boiled and baked, but puffy and doughy--nothing like the great bagels Barrys has become known for. What gives Barry? You sold us out!

Fast and friendly service. Average bagels. If you have ever had a really good bagel, you will know that this isnt it. Theyre okay. Theyre conveniently located. The service is good. And, you get 28 when you order 2 dozen.Since the manager was kind enough to reply to this review with a question about where to get really good bagels, the answer is this: in Ann Arbor, Zingermans has a good bagel and in Southfield I like the Bagel Factory on 12 Mile Rd.

Dont let the (likely) long line scare you. - it moves fast. And the servers are friendly and efficient.Their Amaretto coffee is delicious. I drink it black and it truly needs nothing added.My son always gets the egg cheese combo on a toasted blueberry bagel. I tried it and can see why its a favorite. Theyre all about $5 but are generously sized. The bagels are New York style, my fave (another reviewer described them well: fluffy and chewy, with a little crisp). I chose the Farmers bagel without onions. Again, generous portion and well prepared.I opted for a package of their chocolate chip bagel chips while waiting in line. Id pass on them next time. Simply adding chocolate chips to a bagel chip doesnt do enough to feature the chocolate. Maybe lots of powdered sugar would help. I want any chocolate calories to count. :)

This was my first actual purchase (but I have eaten Barry Bagels at many work related functions). I ordered Lox on a plain bagel. I did not see this item listed on the menu. Too bad I didnt ask the cost before having it prepared...$10.91. Ouch! The portion size of salmon was plentiful. I just wasnt planning to spend 11 bucks for a lunch sandwich. All in all it was worth the splurge!

Barry Bagels has been my favorite bagel place in Ann Arbor my whole life. The quality has never gone down and the staff is friendly and fun. On my last visit, Celeste was especially nice and helpful.

This place has a pretty incredible selection of bagels and other breakfast type items. I actually really like coming here for lunch and getting bagel dogs. Its basically just a hot dog in a bagel but they are so good.

We have been going here for years. Food is great and 98% of the employees are fast, knowledgeable, and great to deal with. Lately though they’ve hired people that refuse to write orders down. It’s so frustrating when you start rattling off what you want and the guy doesn’t start writing anything until he realizes that you’re ordering more than 3 things and then when he finally starts writing stuff he forgets what the first things were. Ugh!

I tried their sunny grain bagels with garlic cream cheese and it was scrumptious both times. I also tried their muffins a couple of times but Ive had better.

I just left the Ann Arbor location in tears. I was standing at the line by the cash registers. A Young man asked to take another customers order, the other customer pointed to me and said I think she was next. He said shes been helped already. I said oh no I need to place an order. He said very loudly and very snotty, well this is where people pay and down here is where we take the orders. He was very condescending, loud, and angry. I dont see why he just couldnt say, I can help you down here maam. I also dont think standing in the wrong place calls for being yelled at and and been treated in such a rude, disrespectful, and angry manner. I am astonished that Barry bagels would treat not only customers this way but what an example to set for a little boy to see his mother treated this way. The restaurant was full of people staring and gawking at his display. I left crying, shamed, and humiliated.
