In Raleigh for the Fourth of July weekend visiting from NY. Had brake pad sensor light come on our Q5 over the weekend. Apex Tuning was 2 blocks from where we were staying I brought the car in first thing Monday explained what had happened and that we were leaving Tuesday morning. Kevin and his staff got our car right in and inspected the brakes. Replaced the rear pads and rotors by lunchtime. Charged a reasonable rate.Part 2 Drove the Q5 all day Monday and the brake pad warning light came back on. Brought it back Tuesday morning checked it and determined faulty sensor. Replaced the sensor for free and repaired it in an hour and half. Great place honest repair shop. I appreciated the response to our situation as well as the quickness of the repairs.

First time here for my 2012 Audi and won’t be the last. Kevin #1 as the service rep and Jaylen as the technician were great. Fixed a coolant leak from cross pipe and replaced the vacuum pump due to oil leak. Knowledgeable, good service, and reasonable price.

I brought my Audi in for an oil change and tire rotation. The price was more reasonable than the dealer. I had an appt and it took 1-1/2 hours. All of that was fine. However they didn’t reset my tire pressure gauge and enter the pressures into the system which leaves the “check pressure” light on on my dashboard. No big deal. So I called and left a message asking if I could stop by for them to do that. I never heard back. I called again a few days later and again never heard back. After 2 weeks I had to go to another auto shop to have it taken care of. I wasn’t upset that it wasn’t done in the first place like it should have been. However, to have 2 unreturned calls is very disappointing. That’s not something I’d expect of a place that has the high reviews that it does.

This is that place to go for any maintenance and tuning needs. I had a dual pulley and unitronic tune done. Went to get my car inspected and had problems with passing they fit me in to there tight schedule same day. I was able to get my car flashed and able to get my inspection taken care of. I have never had a problem or been mislead by the team at apex tuning!!!

Made an appointment here last week when my check engine light came on. Before I made the appointment I asked for some recommendations in a few local Audi groups on FB that I follow. I was told by several people that Apex Tuning was the place to go in the triangle if you owned an Audi or VW and needed work done. They were 110% correct! The guys at Apex Tuning were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable! Within minutes they had diagnosed my issue as being a thermostat problem! Shortly after that I was all scheduled in for the replacement service and proceeded to talk a few more minutes about the steps to get a Stage 1 done. I really enjoyed talking with the owners and was 110% convinced that I found my go to shop for all my services and upgrades! Finally, I asked what the charge was and one of the owners said “no charge, consider it a welcome gesture to a new client of ours.” That is exactly the kind of customer service that a generously spending customer like myself was looking for! Very Impressed with them!

What an incredibly good first experience with Apex Tuning...! Was referred to this shop by another local shop when looking for an Audi specialist after encountering an unexpected oil pressure drop after performing an oil change. Kevin and his staff quickly diagnosed and resolved the issue early the next day for a very minimal charge, and Kevin - at my request - also performed a complimentary reset of the Service Due light which the local Audi dealership would only do for a fee of $45. I highly recommend Apex Tuning and will be using them in the future should any additional issues arise with our Audi A4!

Hands down greatest mechanics I have ever been to. Not only are they extremely knowledgable with VWs and Audis, these guys are also genuinely nice and honest. Multiple times they brought me into the garage to point out what was wrong and explain what they could do to fix it for the cheapest price. Finding a mechanic to work on my uncommon VW Eurovan that knew what they were doing in the past was like pulling teeth but these guys always knew what to do and were very prompt and quick to fix the problem. Best shop in the area!!! Friendly owners, great pricing, and extremely high quality work. They replaced the piston rings in my Audi Q5 and it has been running great. No longer burning oil for thousands of miles. They confirmed the cylinder bores were not damaged, replaced the timing chain, and checked everything else that could need replacing while they had the engine apart to make sure it will run good for a long time. All of this at a great price. I will never go anywhere else to have work done on my Audi.

With Apex Tuning, Ive had my Golf TDIs transmission replaced, timing belt service completed, oil changes, etc. Kevin, Josh, and the rest of the team have always been helpful and responsive. They always inform me of any additional issues they find, and never do any pressure sales. Also, I have found the prices are better than the dealership: for example, the timing belt service was approximately 16% less compared to the dealer quoted price. I highly recommend Apex Tuning is you have a VW or Audi.

I brought my Audi B7 S4 in here to have some maintenance/performance upgrades done. They did a fantastic job at an affordable rate. I came in for a follow up because my snub mount didnt seem to be sitting right. They readjusted it for no charge and now it is perfect. I highly recommend them for any kind of maintenance and performance work.

These guys were a great find. Ive been a customer for 2 years now. They are extremely knowledgeable and straight forward. When they have time they dont mind taking shop a bit and I have learned a few things from our conversations. I have always gotten the impression that they value helping people and doing good work, which is not true of everyone in their industry.

These guys do a great job. Theyre also good about letting you know what preventative maintenance is really necessary and when its necessary. If you dont need it for another year, theyll tell you to wait instead of trying to make a quick buck.

Had several items that needed to be repaired on my Eurovan - and am very glad I went to Apex Tuning. It was the second time I had work done by them and, from now on, I will always go back. They provided the repair estimate very quickly and it was evident they knew exactly what the problems were (without a lot of input from my end). I brought my 2007 VWPassat (FSI engine) to Apex Tuning to correct an issue with it. Within a short period of time, they completed a diagnostic (smoke) test on the engine and discovered a vacuum leak. I wish I had taken the car to them in the first place instead of struggling on several internet websites looking for a solution for the trouble codes (and going down many, many rabbit holes in a frustrating process). I was seeing codes P0171 and P0507. After Kevin did a quick repair of the vacuum leak, there have been no further issues. They know what they are doing at Apex Tuning. Highly recommend them!

After reading all the positive reviews I decided to try these guys for some routine maintenance on my car. After having dealt with some shifty dealerships in my time, these are guys are like night and day. I cant recommend them enough.They looked everything over and didnt find anything else that needed to be fixed (a huge difference from those shops who will try and find *anything* to replace to get more money out of you). They took the time to do the work properly and answered every one of my (numerous) questions with patience and a wealth of knowledge.These guys definitely know there cars, are honest, and reasonable on price. I wont be taking my car any place else.

Great people, great service, and super honest. I took my 2004 VW Passat over to their shop for a boost hose issue. All I really needed was for someone to verify a part before I ordered it. The owner was super polite, he even looked at my car and researched the part himself while I waited. Ive talked to these guys over the phone many times for advice and I actually regret the fact they dont take cash for questions. Although I usually turn my own wrenches, this is the only non-dealer VDub shop I would trust taking my Passats to should something be above my pay-grade. To be truthful, I think they are the most honest shop owners in the RDU region that I have ever talked to.

Oh man, where do I start? I brought my Passat here to have the check engine light investigated as I was due for an inspection and knew that it would not pass. Now let me just say that I have always brought my car to the dealership and when I was less than impressed with the service I received from Leith VW I decided to take my car elsewhere. I dropped my car off at 12 PM on a Saturday and picked it up later that day around 5PM. Not only did Kevin (technician) spend several hours on the car but he called me multiple times to update me on what he had found. On one of the phone calls Kevin (technician) spent close to 30 minutes on the phone with me explaining what he had found including poor workmanship by the dealers that I have taken it to in the past. Kevin (technician) also made me aware that I had not had the timing belt service done on my car and because I was getting close to 100K miles that I should probably have it done soon. I knew that I would be going on vacation the following week so I told him that I would like to leave the car with them for a week to do the repairs. Kevin (the owner) called me twice on vacation to let me know that they had found a couple of other issues and exactly how much additional they would be. Because I was going to be picking up my car on a Sunday, they locked the key in the trunk for me and I used my spare to pick it up. Driving the car home I felt like it was brand new again and I was driving it off of the lot for the first time. Apex Tuning did such a great job fixing my car that I dont want to take it anywhere else. These guys really know what they are doing and I would highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

I had previoulsy used Apex Tuning for my AUDI and the manager/owner was rude, but the service and mechanic were great. I decided to take my GTI to them after I bent my wheel on a pothole. I arrived at 830 (sign on door says open at 8) per internet hours and the whole crew was sitting in the office. After a few minutes of waiting around with no response I approached the group asking if they were with a customer. The whole scene was odd, as if they didnt like business. They said no and that they were doing a Monday huddle, I explained that I needed a tire mounted and wondered if they could accommodate. After they all snickered about their ability to mount a tire the manager asked if anyone wanted to? I assumed this was to be funny, so I waited. I waited for another 15-20 minutes while they BSed about random topics and around 910 I decided that they werent going to help. My impression of these guys is that they 1) dont value customers (unless buying some new turbo) 2) consider themselves superior 3) tire job is beneath them. Black Forest Industries took me in and was extremely helpful, they have my business now.

Always helpful and accommodating with quality work using OEM parts upon request, and at a significant savings to dealership costs for routine maintenance and repair work. Dont forget to consider the Stage 1+ tuning while youre at it.

Quick service and very friendly. Will definitely work on my Jetta when needed.
