Everybody wants to talk about how rude the bald guy is.. My experience was very good and easy for my first time buying a firearm. Young Guns answered the questions I asked, and explained to understanding. I sent several emails to them and received a response everytime. The store is neat and clean and not busy the few times Ive been in the store.

PAY ATTENTION TO THE REVIEWS! Ive had negative experiences with both FFL transfers that I have done with them. Worth it to go somewhere else.The first time I transferred to Young Guns I went to the store without being notified (my fault) and was told that the gun is not ready yet that they will communicate with me when its ready to be picked up. That is fair. I was about to pull in my driveway when they called me 15 minutes later to tell me my gun was ready to be picked up. Terrible communication.The second, was not based on being put on a delay for the background check, it was for communicating before he ran the check that I have a pistol purchase permit that I can get for the transfer and then he initiated an in-store background check and now my gun is delayed 3 days. The lack of communication is what has given me negative experiences.A simple give us 15 minutes or alot of folks have been getting delayed for 3 days, you might want to go get that permit would have been nice.

If I come into your shop I prefer to avoid unsolicited political ramblings. The shop was empty, the election was over and all I wanted to do was talk about guns and buy some stuff. No matter how many times i attempted to change the subject it kept coming back to your own personal beliefs. It was incredibly uncomfortable and completely turned me off to your shop.

Bald headed employee was extremely disrespectful during my visit. He was quite rude when I asked questions about prices of some items in the back and was very disrespectful overall. The store was very nice and well stocked but this one employee ruined overall experience. This is my second time here and it was the same guy who was rude to me again.

This place is unbelievable. Took this guys money ( $90 to mail to an ffl). Then sat on the gun for over a week acting like FedEx got lost & could find theyre place. They just giving the run around to their own loyal customer & robbing him of unnecessary fees instead of tell him hes fine to send it on his own to any FFL agreeing to receive.

Good old school gun shop. Nice prices and fair, honest gentlemen. Semi autos rule down there but can get you whatever you want on order. If you like AR/AK..check em out. They have been around a long time for a reason. Great Glock store also.

John and Randy were great, very knowledgeable when it come to everything fire arms related. My experience was kind of unique. I purchased a pistol and rifle online from the website, however, at the last minute I decided to not take the rifle I ordered and take one they had in stock instead. They made it very easy to do, there was a 25% restocking fee (a little high) but understandable since the gun was already ordered and shipped(I understand they have to pay to ship it to and from the distributor) and truly was at no fault on them and was truly my mistake. I would recommend them and this store to anyone who is local. I went to pick up the 2 guns and ended up buying a new bag for my rifle and a couple extra magazines. Everything was just a little high priced, however, to keep the business local I have no problem paying a little more especially due to the great customer service! Great job guys and you have earned a repeat customer.

Second time I have purchased a gun there. This time I went back after being helped a few days prior by a very helpful gun tech. Went back to buy the handgun I had been looking at and I specifically went back when I could have purchased it in Fuquay previously. Second person I got the gun from seemed angry I had even come there to buy the gun. Twice he threw a magazine I set on the counter, to buy, off to the side with contempt. Three stars because the Prices are good and the first guy was so helpful but I will stick with Fuquay from now on.

Ive tried calling these folks, and always get voice mail. I leave a VM with my number, no call back. Email, no email back. I know theyre really busy, like all gun shops nowadays (and thats a good thing), but ignoring customer contact is just not good customer service.

Forgot the name of the person working today, but I did not forget how helpful he was. Very nice guy who is also well-read in this area of expertise. Answered all of my newbie questions with enthusiasm and was very helpful throughout making my purchase and all my time spent in the store. It also does help that the store is competitively priced. 10/10.

Friendly, helpful and competitive prices. Recently bought three pistols from them. They honestly answered all my questions and only made suggestions when asked. Prices where the same as surrounding dealers. The only dealer in the area with the stainless Taurus 738 in stock. Also recommend two CCWP instructors. Highly recommend!

Young Guns is an outstanding locally owned gun store that carries a good line of new and consigned guns and ancillary gun-related products. Friendly and knowledgeable employees.

Check out their website online - they have access to the national dealers firearm network, which is one of the largest inventories (if not the largest) that can be accessed online. Not only do they have access, but their prices are significantly lower than other dealers in the area who have access to this network. Additionally, they are the cheapest on Davidsons gallery of guns. They get top marks from me for being the cheapest in town when it comes to this large inventory. Check the prices against the bigger brick and mortar shops and youll understand. Workers are knowledgeable and eager to help and answer questions. One of the few places left in town where workers have personalities and character. My favorite small biz in the triangle!

He told me he could order it and stayed on the phone as long as i needed to make sure i got the right gun. Been doing business with Randy Young for well over 15 years, besides being in an ultra convenient location for me, the folks there dont pretend to know all the answers to every question about every thing, but they will get the CORRECT answers for you. They carry the best selection of AR15 parts and accessories I have found inside a 250 mile radius of Apex, NC, most of the time they have specialty ammo and reloading supplies, and reloading equipment. Fast friendly, knowledgeable, internet access to basically anything and everything shooting related, in and out quickly on transfers, fast and friendly FIVE STAR SELLER, that stocks a reasonable selection of top selling handguns, rifles and ammo. They are always my first choice in a gun dealer. They have parts for 1911, AR15s in stock, good selection of optics, awesome array of bags, ranges bags, bug out bags, rifle cases. and handgun leather...if they dont have it in stock they will get it for you within a couple of days most of the time.

Pretty much everything a local gun shop should be. Not huge, but they have all of the basics in store and can order pretty much anything youd need. Pricing is very fair, definitely better than youd find in most big box stores. The 2 gentlemen who typically work there have always been good to me. Some reviews here suggest otherwise, but I suspect those people may just be unfamiliar how most gun stores are and expect to see cute bubbly personalities like youd see in a Chick-fil-a. All I know is every time Ive been there my questions were answered and I was treated with respect. No pushy sales or judgmental snobbishness.

Randy is a delightful, jovial gun shop owner and John is dependable and seems to always be there.I have bought a variety of products there over the years. I am happy that they carry Corbon Glaser ammunition.I am extremely happy that they have the Corbon DPX 9 mm 115 gr. (3rd generation) in stock. Corbon just recently brought this load back and I havent seen any gun shop or dealers at gun shows or anywhere with this Amazing Ammunition.

Probably because Im respectful of the fact that Im handling something dangerous. Havent bought a gun yet but the prices are fair. Prices are sky high! Price gouging to the extreme! Went in and was told that the last 4 boxes of .22 were marked at $8.99/50rds and he didnt have anymore in stock at all. After purchase, I walked back in because I wanted to look at holster, and he was right in the middle of putting 4 more of exact boxes on shelf. Complete liar, prices are unfair, and preys on people that have no idea. Be smart and buy online!

Fantastic customer service and prices! I ordered a new rifle online and it was at the store in 3 days. When I picked it up the staff took there time adjusting the sight to be perfect for me before boarsighting it.

I have been shopping at Young Guns for well over 15 years - The older negative reviews on here really surprise me. John has always, since day one, been friendly and helpful. Randy (the owner) and John are both very experienced and knowledgeable and have always provided great advice on gun purchases. Prices are very fair - If you spend time looking online I am sure you can find some guns cheaper, but once you add in shipping and FFL transfer you will find that the price difference is negligible.They get in some great used guns here and there, and they are honest. I was there once when a guy brought in a shoebox full of his grandfathers German mauser pistols - He had no idea what he had, any unscrupulous gun store would have bought them for $500 each and flipped them for thousands, but John spent a lot of time with them explaining their value, their markings and discouraging them from selling. He said they would only go up in value, and in the end they left without selling and held on to their family heirlooms.Its a small local shop with very competitive prices and a very knowledgeable staff. The staffs experience and knowledge is priceless, and not something you will get at a big box store.

Well I went there trying to stock up for when everything crashes. Needles to say, Im as satisfied as a cow. They had a wonderful collection and the man at the counter was a godsend.Not only was the help good, they were serious. Not sure whats with the negative reviews about rudeness, etc., but I just had a very pleasant experience there. I was looking for a holster and he (the bald guy with the vest) let me try on four of them until I found the one I liked. He was very patient and explained everything well. They had other customers there at the time too.As for selection of guns, well, its a small shop, so selection will be limited. Theres nothing wrong with that. Im sure if there is something in particular you want, you can order through them. Or just use them as your FFL and transfer your purchase via them.

Bought a gun online and picked it up there. Great service, didnt take long to finish paper work, and gun was in perfect condition. Will use them again.

I have been buying guns and picking up ffl transfer guns from young guns since 2006. I got to know randy and johnny very well. they are good people and its a good shop. i have recently visited gander mountain and bass proshop. if you are buying a pistol or rifle make sure you dont have anything else going because they WILL make you waste your time by filling out forms after forms, signature after signature, and waiting for someone else to double check those paperwork. i rather go somewhere they respect my time. they have a good price on the item on stock and they will find you gun you want if they dont have it on stock. i highly recommend young guns for your next pistol/rifle purchase.

Just bought a handgun from Young Guns. Decent pricing on firearms...not so much on ammo. The staff is kind of rude and unwilling to help. However, the entire transaction only took me about 5-10 minutes.

I got swayed by positive reviews and decided to take my chances on this place. The following is my opinion after visiting this place.Negative reviews get left far behind when friends and family of a business post positive reviews regularly to drown out the negative ones. I should have also read all the negative reviews from way back to think twice before considering this place.I went there to buy an AK 47 by Century Arms, model C39. The Young Guns Inc website showed they had 8 left. Since there was talk about banning Russian styled products I had decided to get one soon. The bald guy behind the counter was not very helpful right from the beginning. His first long blank stare was enough to make me not want to buy from there. Anyway I continued to hang around waiting for him to ask me what I was looking for or at least to tell me he will attend to me shortly. The place is tiny and there is not much of a selection so you may have to read a book while waiting for this guy to talk to you.He finally talked and when I told him I wanted to buy the Century Arms AK47, model C39, his instant reply was that they do not have it. He handed me a flyer and said to go online to their Young Guns (Davidsons) website and order it, have it shipped and then come to their store for paperwork and turned away without asking if I needed anything else. Very Rude!The funny thing is the Young Guns (Davidsons INC) website did not have the Century Arms AK47 C39 model. Further, they do not even have Century Arms in their Manufacturers List. So Davidsons gallery of guns website probably does not sell Century Arms products because I cannot order them online.The 8 guns left in stock were showing on the Young Guns own webstore. I mentioned this to the Bald guy but he was just too arrogant and insisted that I go online to the Young Guns (Davidsons) webstore for whatever I needed and made me feel like I was wasting his time talking about this gun.Since Young Guns Inc sells guns and other products from Century Arms and I was already there the bald guy could have sold me this gun by directly ordering it from Century Arms or any other source they have. I wasted my time and money driving to this place and not even getting an explanation why the Young Guns own webstore was showing 8 AK47 C39 models and then I could not buy one or the rude bald guy did not even have the customer service skills or courtesy to offer to order one for me.After I read all the negative reviews (every one of them) it did not surprise me that the service here leaves very much to be desired.To get the best deals, I have now found an FFL in my area by googling the FFLregistry. This FFL charges only $15 per transfer. I have negotiated down to $10 per transfer no matter who I buy from online. So I shop for the best deals online on Budsgunshop or palmettostatearmory or galleryofguns or classicfirearms and myraid other online sellers to compare for the best deals. I recently found that some of these online sellers even offer free shipping. WOW!!!!!This is a win win for all and I do not get ripped off or made to feel like a shop is doing me a favor because some good reviews said they are the best or so called cheapest in town.
