In a day of boring excess, J&M offers a very select inventory... beautiful, not cheap, but reasonable. This would be my pick for a gift certificate. The lady that works there @ Pentagon City said she has been there 9 years and loves it. She knew every product and price without looking... and she was likewise good at bringing attention to some really good promotions.

Great service if you’re buying, prepare to be ignored and shunning if returning anything.

I like the shoes here and the service is great. Been shopping here for years and they waive when I walk by even if I dont go in. Casual dress clothes, nice belts, great shoes.

Staff was very helpful in helping me pick out just the right shoe for my needs. One time I went in they shined my shoes for free. On another occasion they gave me a free pair of shoestrings.

Johnston & Murphy have great shoes and this is an excellent place to buy them. Sales staff was very helpful.

Im not sure if the store at reagan is an extension of this one. The store at reagan national is run by a man named remy, who has little to no customer service skills. Instead of asking level headed questions about a return he would rather accuse his customers of being someone they are not with only the type of shoe they`re returning as validation of a worn fee. When asked about a return label he plays dumb, even with corporate on the phone.
