We are sooo happy with our new fence!! As first-time homeowners, we had LOOOOTS of questions and met with several fencing companies in the area. Ultimately, we decided to go with A and A because of Steve Boecking - he just might be the most patient / kindest person on the planet!! Through all of our questions and indecisiveness, Steve was incredibly helpful. Even though we didnt need a huge fence, Steve made time to make us feel like his most important customer. It took about 3 weeks to have the fence panels made, powder coated and installed. We could not be happier with how it turned out; thank you A and A and Steve!!

We very much needed a new wood fence for our backyard -- but who to do it? After much research, we hired A&A Fence based on their excellent reviews. They did not disappoint! Steve was very responsive and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted.Shout out also to the two gentlemen who installed the fence. They are experts at what they do. Professional, hard working and courteous. They also did a great job cleaning up afterward.Our new wood fence is just beautiful. Weve been waking up each morning and admiring it. Bonus: Our neighbor walked by our house and when she saw it was A&A installing the fence, she said Oh, youre using the right company. And she was right.

Our experience with Rod and the entire A and A family was wonderful! He educated us on the quality of wood we were buying to understand the investment we were making in our fence. He found the perfect color, chestnut, which coordinated perfectly with the dark trim on our house. He was always available when I had questions and responded to emails/texts quickly. The installation crew was exceptional too. They were on time, worked hard to install everything we asked for in a timely manner. and were incredibly polite when I had questions. We even added a new fence along the driveway at the last minute and they were able to accommodate and finish it along with the backyard fence. The experience we had was one of the best ever! Steve came out had samples and went over everything in great detail. Im a contractor myself and know how the process works. Steve was on time, answered ALL OF MY CALLS and was just all pro in the process. A&A was not the cheapest but wasn’t the highest either. These guys know what they are doing and long time established business in Arlington and as a lifetime Arlington resident I wanted to do business with Arlington folks and after meeting Steve i knew he was my guy and A&A was my company. When my first appointment was made he was on time and when we scheduled my appointment for instillation of wood fence he kept me up to date through the whole process even when we ran into it constantly raining for two weeks. Several houses in my neighborhood have A & A Fences and after several years, the pickets still look great--no shrinkage or out-of-alignment ones. They gave me a fair estimate, and did an excellent job. We decided on the stained and cap and trim at the top. It is just beautiful. Rod was amazing to work with. His knowledge and expertise helped us get the exact fence we needed and a very competitive rate. We were replacing a really old 5 ft fence in our backyard facing the ally and everything was falling apart (door was falling off not even closing, half the fence was 8 ft half was 5, bottom rotted out etc). He came over and showed us what they could do, pointed out the areas to look for when replacing a fence, and recommended an 8ft board-on-board fence that once installed, completely transformed the look of our backyard. Its private, safe and looks incredible. Highly recommend these guys. I had about 4 quotes on this project and A&A came in with one of the stronger options and did really really good work.

Sent them a request for a quote and was contacted a day later which is pretty fast. he came out the following day to do measurement for back yard fence and patio concrete. I was told that i would get the quotes two or three days at the latest. Three days later contacted him, he doesnt remember who i was at first, then he came up with some sort of excuse for the delay and told me that i will get the quote three days later. he never got back to me.almost everyone i got a quote from, gave me the quote the same day or the latest the following day. A fence company that could not even give me a quote is very untrustworthy. I would stay away from this type of company.

We love our new fence! It looks great. They did a great job. We worked with Austin Cook and he was very responsive and kept us informed of updates due to weather etc. He was also helpful in making some decisions on the fence and how it would look. We went with black posts instead of the silver since we have to put our nice side of the fence to the alley per our HOA rules and we have the less attractive side in our yard. It looks really good. We also added trim pieces to the top and at the bottom of the fence making it look nice. We also went with a kick board to make sure we can keep the skunks and raccoons out of our yard.

This week I had A&A replace a couple of large sections of privacy fencing around my yard. The fence is great, the materials are quality and Im very happy with the outcome. But one important thing to add is about the crew and their work habits. The job took 2 days, and at the end of each day I could go in my backyard and find NO TRASH or debris or scraps of anything - they were meticulous in keeping things picked up. To me, that is just as important as the job they did on the fence. Nice work A&A!

Bob is wonderful sales rep. He followed up well and made sure the job was done right. The team putting in the fence was fast and efficient. The fence looks great and the price was well below the other bids for the same materials. They went above and beyond when they found that 2 brick columns were unstable and needed to be removed. The only downside was when they set new fence posts to replace the columns concrete was left on our deck and driveway that was difficult to remove.

I had an iron gate installed and they did a fantastic job! I’ve used A&A Fence in the past and will continue to use them in the future.

This place damaged my vehicle by accident. Then they left before the police showed and now refuse to fix my vehicle. They must not carry insurance!?!?? Either way, they were rude and now I have to take them to small claims court. THEY WILL NOT DO THE RIGHT THING! I would NOT let this place build a dog house for my enemy. OBVIOUSLY, if they damage something, they will not do the right thing and fix it. PATHETIC!!!

I had waited for 3 months for a quote from this company and never got it despite several attempts to reach them. The owner reached out to me directly and apologized for the lack of service and offered to make it right by having one of their more experienced guys come out and provide a quote. He stayed true to his word, and Art came out and provided a quote shortly after taking measurements. I was initially disappointed in the customer service, but Tim stuck by his word and got me what I needed. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a fence.

I had some fencing work that needed done and called around to 4 companies to get estimates. A&A’s bid was $100 more than another business but I decided to go with them because they do other things in remodeling, and I had plenty more work to give them in the near future. I was looking forward to having a great business to work with in the future. That was my first mistake.The night before the fencing job was to start, I received a text stating I needed to cut down any extra bushes and overgrowth along the fence line. Nothing was ever mentioned about this and I started to make frantic calls to get someone out to help since I had already taken the day off of work the next day for the fencing. I was unable to find anyone to come out less 18 hours before the start of their job. My salesman said not to worry. Just trim anything I wouldn’t want the workers to take a machete to. No problem! I didn’t care about any of the overgrowth.The next day I make sure the pets are up and they have access to the yard. My husband had a doctors appointment to follow up on his ER visit so I went along to ask questions. As we were leaving, I get a text saying that they will be unable to do one side of the fencing that day due to the overgrowth. I am upset at this point but went ahead and scheduled someone to come out that Saturday, just 4 days later, and then I was going to have to reschedule that side of the fence to be done. When I got home with my husband, Art explained that they would be able to do it and it wasn’t going to be a problem. The fencing job was still on. I kept my scheduled appt for yard work anyway to help clean up after the fencing job was done. At 2pm while they were installing the second post, the contractor hit my main line with ATT and knocked out service to numerous houses. Digtess had failed to mark all the lines, so it wasn’t totally the fault of the fence installer. He knew he hit something but told my salesman he thought it was an old line since it wasnt marked. My salesman told me that I had to call ATT and give them all the Digtess information, and my salesman forwarded me all the screen shots of that. I went to go look at where the line was struck and received a call from my neighbor saying they were refusing to do the 8 foot section in the back that was originally measured. The salesman explained that wasn’t included in the measurements, however, I showed him that section and watched him measure it while preparing my estimate! All the companies that came out measured it and A&A’s was a couple feet longer than all of the other companies! They ended up doing it as originally planned, after some back and forth.So later that evening, as I was bagging up some of the brush that was cut down, I noticed that 2 of my fence panels were facing one way and had the posts toward my yard, and the rest were facing the other way and had the posts facing the other yard. What in the heck?!? I sent a picture to my salesman that evening and asked what was going on! He called me the next morning and told me they had to do the fencing like that because of the overgrowth. They failed to let me know that and never addressed that at all with me! I was furious and told them that it needed fixed ASAP. I had scheduled yard work when he texted, and they were still coming, and I was never given the option of doing it half-a$$ or correctly. I refused to pay almost $4000 for that! They did end up rotating the 2 panels in the end and our internet was back on 10 days later after a ridiculous amount of hassle.My neighbor behind me asked if I wanted to go half with her and replace the fence between us. After I explained all the issues we had, we both agreed that would be a definite no!

After patching up my old fence for the 3rd time from the last storm, and worrying about my dogs getting out, I started looking into getting a new fence. As the store manager of Evans Vacuum Cleaner Co. I talk to a lot of people everyday and one of our loyal customers recommended Ed Ludt of A & A Fence as someone she trusted to install her new fence. Now, I did get more than one bid, and all of them were close to the same estimate, but Ed was the only one to come out at a time that was good for my schedule and not his. I love my dogs very much and after nearly losing them after the last storm I had some real concerns about how strong of a fence I wanted and Ed showed me things he could do to help protect my doggies. Ed even moved up my installation a few days when another section of my fence was on the verge of collapse, the work was done in the estimated time frame and the only evidence they were in my back yard is a beautiful new fence!
