Sadly, I had to miss my best friends 30th birthday trip to Asheville. I wanted to do something special for her and send a celebratory gift. Naturally champagne seemed appropriate! Once I called Asheville Wine and explained the situation, the staff was beyond helpful. They selected a champagne and a rose for me, gift wrapped them, enclosed a note, and delivered them to my friend. Asheville Wine went above and beyond and helped make a memorable birthday for my friend. Thank you!

Fantastic selection of wines from around the world. Friendly staff will assist in finding that particular vintage or winery you were looking for.

When you travel you have to be aware of the liquor laws. Well in NC its not one shop has it all, therefore many stores that have wine have very limited selections.. no so with Asheville wine granted its not your big box super store like in CO or other but it has an amazing selection and very knowledgeable caring staff. The people make any business and the people are superior.

Good wine selection and customer service.

While we really appreciate the measures in place for covid (love the curbside idea, wine stores can be a lot to take in!), we waited over 20 minutes outside (2 other couples left in this time). In an effort to social distance, customers are beings ignored and unfortunately being told that is a long time to wait for one bottle of wine by the the staff wasnt kind. Maybe check to see who is waiting occasionally?

Advertises in-store shopping but they wouldn’t let us in. We are in from out of town and this was my husband’s favorite wine shop It’s fine to do only curb side but don’t advertise in-store shopping if it isn’t offered please. I just took a screen shot where it says in-store shopping 9/11/2020. We get why it is curb side, I’m just saying please remove the “in-store shopping” from your google ad.

Everything is excellent with this wine market

An excellent selection of fun and unique wines. They really have a wide variety of wines for every taste. Some of the more unique wines include smaller producers from lesser known regions.Also be sure to check out their local wine selection for a great representation of North Carolina Wine.

Good people of Asheville, rejoice! For this is a fabulous wine market right in downtown. Excellent location where everyone walks by in this lovely city. Wines from Spain and France and Italy and California...no country is left out and all flavours are available.

Very wide selection, a free tasting from 2-5, and a very knowledgeable staff. It was nice that they had the self serve wine dispenser by the glass. Would definitely visit again.

It was great. It was Craig Baker selections with Aux Bar deliciousness dinner. Great.

Love the new ownership. Owner (Larry) made my wife and I feel at home as we attended their Saturday afternoon tasting. Also, the mechanized wine dispenser is a joy and great opportunity to sampling many varieties.

Amazing wine shop! They had a free wine tasting with affordable wines and the staff was incredible. We just dropped in randomly and ended up leaving with 3 wonderful bottles of wine.

Five or more years ago this place was the best in town. The old owner retired and the place does not have the good selection or pricing it did back then.

You will find fines selections of wines there. In my opinion they provide the highest quality. Cant say the same about the service - some of the employees are often rude.

Was looking for a cute wine bar since we were staying nezt door. Nice people but we did the wine tasting station. Four of the wines ran out and tasted musty like theyve been there awhile. Would recommend they switch them out more often.

The proprieter knew his wine and was able to recommend superior choices to our mass-market wine, namely; barefoot chardonnay and J. Lohr cabernet. Unfortunately, I dont remember his recommendations, but you can stop by and discover for your self.

We stopped by before dinner one night to pick up an item not widely available that I had read about in the local newspaper. I would sooner order this item online directly from the source and pay the additional postage next time I need it rather than purchase it again at this shop. When I attempted to pay for the item the person who was manning the register suddenly had to do something in the back room. He called to another worker who was stocking shelves (not helping another customer) to work the register and who apparently pretended not to hear. We stood around for a few minutes before the second worker decided to finally come up and check us out. NIce.

As someone who doesnt know too much about wine, the staff really helped guide me to find a wine that really hit the spot. Fantastic customer service.

I think this store is a true treasure for a city the size of Asheville. Not only do they have a very large and varied wine selection, and uniformly knowledgable and helpful employees to assist customers in finding the right choice, but there is a surprisingly great selection of cheeses and other goodies in the rear of the store that is priced very competitively, and more often than not, more cheaply than other stores in town.I have been a customer for more than 8 years and at one point, took advantage of their rental storage space for my wine library. I loved this store when Eberhard Heide ran it and still do since Larry took over.
