They have a decent selection of beer and wine bit getting somebody to help me just took way too much effort with the one gentleman chatting up bar patrons and another lady hiding under the desk rudely informing me she doesnt work there Oh well that was $40 in wine sales they lost out on.

I enjoyed the selection in this store, they had a lot of great local wines and beers.However, the customer service was lacking. One of the staff was pushy while the other acted very short/cold.Loved the merchandise, not the service :(

I wish I could go all in for 5 stars but Im taking off a star for the vocal and rude manager who made his objection to our extended family known with his negative comments. Yes we can hear you. The unwelcomed comment was a second to witnessing him berate and correct his wonderful employee Shay. Shay is polite and attentive. Qualities that should be valued by the so called manager. But I doubt it. Mr. Manager, especially in these times, you should be more grateful.

We met friends there for adult beverages, great conversation and to hear music. Alex, behind the bar was wonderful in helping to make beer selections. Band was good.

Weinhaus made ordering and delivery super easy for our wedding, and they have great prices for their beer and wine. They also helped us arrange for set up in addition to delivery at the last minute which was very much appreciated. Our only complaint is that they delivered a different case of wine than we ordered, and we didn’t realize this until we went in to return the unopened bottles. At that point, they just charged us for an extra case even though it was still unclear if the case was extra or if they just switched one of the boxes we had ordered for a different type of wine (so they charged us for 4 cases in the end when we only had ordered 3).

Working with Weinhaus took away the additional planning required to actually coordinate keeping our beer chilled and moving it to the venue on time. They were prompt, professional, and well worth it for the price.

Had a great time drinking wine and learning all about Asheville with Jonathan. A nice wine, beer and cheese store, too.

Our son and his new bride were married in Asheville in September 2014. It was a destination wedding so we hosted a Welcome Party for 125 guests at the Capital Club the night before the ceremony. The Weinhaus provided all of our beer and wine, including delivering it up to the venue the day of the party. Hunt was so great to work with--he provided great wine suggestions based on our planned menu and the wines got excellent reviews from our guests. We also did a combo of draft and bottled beer--all local to Asheville--again following Weinhaus recommendations. One last thing: We had no idea what kind of quantities to figure on for a party that size, but Hunt made estimates based on his experience and nailed it: We had maybe eight bottles of beer and two bottles of wine left over at the end of the night!

I sat down outside this business around noon today. A man came out with menu in hand and offered to unlock his chairs for myself and a friend. Because I wasnt planning on being there long I said no, its okay about the chairs, but then asked to purcase a beverage. As I was sitting there several people who knew me stopped by to ask questions about some local events going on. Another friend came by after the others had left and so I went in and asked if the chairs could be unlocked, and was told no he was not going to unlock the chairs because he didnt like the type of people who were talking to me. I am not sure if he was referrring to thier race, or economic status. But his comments and actions towards clients was terrible, rude, and unamerican.
