We started our project with phone calls and visits to 3-4 countertop dealers, but quickly decided Mountain Marble was where wed do business. Working with Hank or Jeremy didnt feel transactional as it did at many other shops- we felt that we were being given advice from a friend. In the end, we had a couple change orders mid process, and Hank was able to come up with creative solutions. We recently replaced our kitchen countertops with granite from Mountain Marble & Granite. Every step of the process was handled very professionally, from picking out our slab to final installation. Hank Strauss, the owner, supplied us with an estimate from a rough sketch. After our approval, everyone from the person making final measurements to the installers, completed their part seamlessly. We were even given a photo layout for approval so we could see the way the actual cutting would look and give our feedback before any cutting was done. I decided Mountain Marble was the place to go after a neighbor showed me the work a big box retailer had done with his counters. The experience was excellent from start to finish. We shopped the yard on our own due to Covid, and then ordered one stone from the yard, and one off of sample. Hank kept it all going for as and Karl did fastidious measurements to make sure all was correct.There was a minor issue on install, but it was promptly corrected. I am using them again for a small job!

We were allowed to watch the process of their cutting the stone, and it was amazing. The fine product that is throughout my house (the master bath vanity, the fireplace surround, and the kitchen counter) are superb. The expert mitering is amazing as they matched the stone with every turn and the mitered seams disappear! Beautiful work. I will never go anywhere else and give Mountain Marble & Granite my highest recommendations.

We had an excellent experience with Jeremy. Customer service and knowledge was great for our extensive remodel using quartz countertops throughout the house. Prices were good, installation was great, finishing was good and we would highly recommend.

A total waste of time. We came in near their closing hour, and were pushed away. An added gift was when the employee advised us they wouldnt fabricate anything less than a $1600.00 project.

Did a kitchen renovation and decided to replace the existing granite. New to the area, I looked at several local granite outfits and ultimately selected Mountain Marble & Granite. Pricing was very competitive and service was exceptional - from the initial contact with the sales team all the way through the process of templating, fabrication, and installation. We had one minor issue with the granite during install (which was my fault) and they went out of their way to get the issue resolved. First class outfit and highly recommend them.

My contractor recommended I go to Mountain Marble but I hesitated because I wanted quartz not granite. After looking else where and finding nothing I liked, and my contractor assuring me they had quartz, I went. They do have a large selection of quartz but, in the end, I fell in love with a piece of granite. I think they have a stone for every taste. I am a smaller project home repairs renovation specialist. Hank has always helped me out with remnants for special details on creative artistic projects, adding a nice highlight. Recently I had the opportunity to do a kitchen counter replacement on existing cabinets. Karl came out and measured,Wesley worked with my clients to find just the right piece of granite and showing them what sections of the slab would be used.Install day, the two gentlemen arrived on time, set both counters they fit flawlessly. They were pleasant and humorous yet informative giving some great advice on how to deal with a difficult sink install, which Karl had accounted for by setting the sink opening back as far back as possible. This could have turned out to be a disaster, but all details were attended to including beautifully matching the pattern in the back splash and counter surface. Kudos to the whole Team.

Asked for a quote last week. They even asked for schematics which I provided via email right after I got off the phone with Wesley. Over a week later I get an email stating ill be out of the office the rest of today ill be back Monday. Way to lose a $10,000 sale. I went with your competitor since you failed to provide a quote or follow up as promised.

Over the summer, we used Mountain Marble for our new kitchen countertops. Everyone there was so helpful and kind right from the start. Ana was the sales person who helped us, and she took so much time to answer our questions and concerns and guide us through the process. She definitely went above and beyond when it came to helping us find the perfect slab of granite for our kitchen. When it came time for the measuring and the installation, everyone showed up on time and got the work done quickly. There was one small issue during installation with the way a piece of the backsplash had been cut, but the installers noticed that it wasnt perfect and insisted on having the piece re-cut so that everything turned out as beautifully as possible. I really appreciate all that the entire team did to ensure that our new counters were perfect. I truly couldnt be happier and I look forward to using them again in the future.

I was treated like garbage by Wesley today. My need for a measly little vanity top was so beneath his time. He pawned me off on another company as if I was an annoyance to him. When I asked if I could see their remnant selection he quickly and rudely escorted me out the side door and said just go look back there and slammed the door. Bad business by a bad employee. Really, really bad. Inhospitable and rude. When I sent an email to Hank, his response was quick but curt and clearly dismissive because of the high reviews. Someday all of the business boom in Asheville will slow and this type of company will wonder why the phone isn’t ringing.

We are extremely pleased with the work that Mountain Marble did for us. The counter tops look amazing and we could not have asked for a better finished product. All of the staff that we encountered were polite and willing to answer any questions that we had.With that being said, there is some room for improvement with the communication we received. When we received our first quote on May 9, 2017, we were told it would be about 7-8 weeks before the final product would be installed. The final product was installed on July 28, 2017, which is closer to 12 weeks. When Karl came to the house to do the template/measurement, June 26, 2017, he informed me that the fabrication guys would not put us on the schedule until they had the sink and faucet in hand. This information had not been told to us previously and we could have easily had a sink and faucet picked out in the time frame between, May 9 and June 26. When I ordered my sink and faucet, I directed that they be delivered directly to Mountain Marble. I was never informed that they were actually received at Mountain Marble until I actually checked on them. On Monday, July 10, 2017, we met with Dwayne to pick out the piece of the slab that we wanted used for our counter top. I found it extremely disrespectful and unprofessional that as we go outside to look at the slab, Dwayne lights up a cigarette. Sure, Dwayne can do what he wants, but should he be smoking a cigarette in front of customers that are giving his business $4,000.00 for the project? The fabrication team also took it upon themselves to assume we would not be using the base plate with the faucet. Call me naive, but this is the first time I have ever had a counter top and sink installed in a house that I own and purchased with my own money and I simply thought the faucet would be installed as it was shown on the box, with the face plate. When the counter top was installed and I tried fitting the faucet fixtures with the base plate I immediately panicked that it didnt fit and contacted Dwayne immediately. He was very quick to call me back and put me at ease that most people do not want the base plate and that was just what he assumed. Luckily he assumed correctly, because the base plate would have covered more of our beautiful counter top. A little communication beforehand would have alleviated my concerns there. I will say that of the 4 businesses we visited before we settled on Mountain Marble, that Mountain Marble by far provided greater customer service than any of the others. Im just not used to spending that type of money and felt as if all of my opinions should be voiced.

They had a GREAT selection, and installed it cleanly and skillfully, right when they said they would. The only hitch was having to wait about a month, but they were totally clear about that up front and still nailed the install date right on time, at the price they promised. Theyre just really busy - probably because theyre good.

Wesley Morrow is our hero ! We just rennovated a 12 year old kitchen having kept the original quarter sawn oak cabinets and moss green ctr island. We wanted to find a granite that incorporated both colors....not easy as the trend now is white and forms of white. Finding nice Carnaval granite, the color combo we needed was difficult. We found it at Mntn Marble having checked all other sources in Asheville surrounding area. It was close but not quite it. Wesley offered to look around and within one day, he found the perfect Carnaval granite, brought it in for approval and we are more than thrilled with the results. Wesley totally took care of us, was always available and communicates promptly. The measuring process is detailed, took over 2 hrs and the suggestions for special cuts by Karl were perfection. The install was tricky, but the team of 5 executed it brilliantly and no damage to exisiting floor/cabinets etc. We highly recommend Mountain Marble & Granite and work with Wesley Morrow, our new best friend !

We went to Mountain Marble for granite replacement countertops for our kitchen. Every step of the process went off perfectly, without a hitch. We dealt with Hank Strauss (the President) for planning and estimating the job, selecting the stone, and negotiating the final price. Karl Stottlemeyer came to our home to do the templating using the digital templating machine -- a GREAT convenience, as it did not require removal of the old counntertops, so we had our full kitchen during the four-week wait for the granite to be fabricated. We also dealt with Duane (the shop foreman) regarding a design change after we had placed our order, and then with the installers when the countertops were delivered. EVERYONE that we dealt with at mountain Marble was friendly, professional, attentive, and responsive to our needs. The fabrication work was planned and executed perfectly; the installation work went off without a single glitch and was done in less than three hours. Most importantly, our new countertops are beautiful and we are fully satisfied. We would recommend Mountain Marble without qualification to anyone.
