My young granddaughters, their dog and I walked up to Ingles to pick up a couple of things for a new recipe. The girls did not want to wait outside, and we couldnt take the dog inside. An employee (store manager, we think) was standing outside, and I shared with him the dilemma. He immediately and kindly offered to keep the dog safe outside, while the girls and I went into the store for a very brief time. I just wanted to say thank you publicly and share the story and the good news that there are still kind and thoughtful people in our midst!
Nice store plenty of products on sale and offers off brand alternatives
Why is this store still open? If you could visualize a dying Grocery Store that’s in hospice care… this is it. Poorly lit. Dirty. Decrepit. Equipment falling apart. Expired product throughout. Just close it down… sell the property and move on.
Usually very well stocked. And lots of sales. Friendly and kind employees. Its an older grocery store and has some wear to it. But still well maintained and clean. Its a smaller store so the options can be smaller than the bigger ones. But they still everything you need for the most part. If you eat vegan, then try one of the bigger stores. The options are slim in that field and they dont have vegan cheese.
Visit was okay. They seemed to have all the items I needed in stocks. Staff was good and practiced good safety measures
So hot in this store, its like they have no air conditioner at all. Security guards racially profiled my wife and I. My wife is African American and myself I am white, they followed us around like we were stealing stuff. When we got to the check out line I had a issue with my card and they both stood at the front door watching us like we were just gonna run out with all these unpaid for groceries. Not cool and wont be shopping at this Ingles ever again!
Clean and friendly staff. Wife variety of products to satisfy our needs as out of town shoppers. Had to borrow local shoppers store cards in order to get the discount. The store itself didnt have a store card we could borrow since we were from out of town.
The store was very clean but not nearly enough cashiers and the manager is extremely rude. Best ingles is the one on smokey park highway. Not the Haywood road one or on hendersonville road they both suck.
This place has saved our bellies, and our butts more than once. Central location, open late. Has local beer.
The cashiers need more training with wic and they need to pay more attention p
Not big enough, needs to become a Liedl or Aldi. Maybe some affordable housing could be built there instead.
Went mid-day on Sunday. They were out of many items. It was during pipeline being down but had gas. Wish store had been stocked better.
STAFF PERFORMD THE DUTIES REQUIRED OF THEM, NO SMILES, HI, HOW YOURE DOING TODAY, OR ADDITIONAL EFFORT TO SATISFY
ALWAYS HAVE WHAT I NEED
Worst Ingles in town but not completely their fault. Lots of transients hang out here.
I bought 7$ guacamole from this store and It tastes like actual paint. It is the nastiest produce I have ever eaten in my life and I want my 7$ back. Not worth it at all. Turn back now before you waste your money on garbage tasting food. Shop at Walmart instead.
Love this place ❤️
I go to the Ingles on Haywood rd regularly and love the small non-supermarket feel to it but especially the wonderful staff! Iris is always so sweet and helpful and I look forward to seeing her when I shop! Thank you Iris for being such a positive spirit in this crazy time, your community really appreciates you.
Nice local smaller ingles.
There is some inconsistent mask enforcing going on here. When the governor gave the 50% capacity he mandated again mask policy. This store had someone for the first month at the door with mask and making sure people wore won before entering the store. The past 2 weeks there has not been anyone making sure of this. When I was there some guy was standing at the door with no mask. I had to find the mgr to let him know. Im just saying at this rate we customers shouldnt point this out. There should be someone there like before. Concerned customer.
Really nice store and cashier very good.
Great employees, very nice manager Chuck Goforth
Its a very good store to go to. Customer service is excellent.
Not the most pleasant side of town.
A little short of or missing some products.
Towned Market Spot with Love!
Very good convenient place to shop the staff very good to you there and youre very helping
Same ingles, different location!
THE BAKERY DOES A WONDERFUL JOB ON THEIR DANISHES CINIMON ROLLS AND DOUGHNUTS...
I have noticed that this chain of stores has a lot of the things I need to that I might not find find in other stores.
Always shop at ingles fast convient and friendly
Love the wonderful people that work here!
This is one of the older Ingles in Asheville. This one is closes ro my house, some of the other newer location are worth the extra drive some times.
Ingles. Walters got it going on!
This is a sad, sad store. Poor selection and expired milk. Find someplace else if you can.
Nice clean. Stocked good.
Always an adventure in the West ingles.
MY MAN BRADLEY!!!! On the afternoon of July 26, 2020, my cars battery chose to give up on me while in the parking lot at Ingles on Haywood Rd. Just so happened I was parked next to one of Ingles Great Employees. With the temperature almost 100 degrees, he still gladly came out and jumped my car off. The world would be better off with more people like Bradley. Very kind guy!!!! Ingles should be proud to have such a great employee.
Great on everyday grocerys.
Amazing store, always clean neat and best variety in town. Wish there were more stores in the Canton,Freehome, Macedonia area. It would put publix out of business
Could be cleaner on the outside.
Nice workers
Cant complain about Ingles
Great place and still has the old store flavor...enjoy it a lot!
This is a small store with a weird tight layout. It can be hard to find items if you are accustomed to the larger/newer Ingles stores.
Found a good supply of craft beers...
Local area Asheville moving company says thanks to Shea Davis Store Managerwe are so grateful for the free moving boxes Ingles provides for the community we are aware that cardboard has hey value per pound out the back door we are aware that you have to pay employees to stack and organize these boxes and bring them to the front of the store so that customers can use them time and time again Ingles has been a part of my life for over 50 years I remember learning social media and the buggy with my grandmother Burnsville Ingles we would walk there to get milk and bread and we would spend hours there communicating with our neighbors finding out the latest gossip Im sure all of my social media skills were learned in the buggy at a Ingles grocery store thank you thank you for being a part of my community loyal customer for ever Bruce Hensley owner of Asheville moving company
Went to exchange my batteries bc my mom got the wrong stocking stuffer and the customer service rep treated me like I had stolen it, wouldnt even exchange them for me. Even said wow you got batteries for christmas, thats so sad lady I think your vibrator needs new batteries so u can go screw yourself. Never coming back
The place was packed. Inventory was all messed up and in the aisles. When I went to go thru self check the cashier told me that she would rather I didnt because I had too many items...I had two boxes of cereal, one gallon of milk, 2 of water, a box of pop tarts and dog food. What the heck!!?
I am Hispanic, and I came into the store looking for mashed potatoes. Even though I am university graduated and have been married to an American man for 40 years, she did not seem to understand my English. She brought me over to a girl that is Hispanic for her to help me. I continued to speak in English to the Hispanic girl.... and she helped me. I wonder, how I could be married to an American; that does not speak a word of Spanish, and be understood, and this girl could not 🤔.
Very helpful asked if I needed any help taking my groceries out to the car very friendly ask if I found everything I needed Ingles is a very good place to shop
I love Ingles I can find anything I need
A little bare...
Great and friendly staff. Always friendly and courteous.
Great store to go buy food at
Parking lot was littered with syringes.
Went in hungry and they had just what I needed.
They have whats delivered to them during the Covid pandemic they have problems getting products from warehouses
Well the angles on Leicester highway is outstanding clean fast friendly everything you want
Store is great, managers not so great. Or should I say, not so 🤯🥴
Good service just dont like having to avoid homeless beggars just to go shopping. Cant even get into the store without someone asking for money, or giving a sob story for pity. Please do something more to clean up your area around the store.
I like the large Ingles Super Stores!. But my local Ingles on Haywood Rd in Asheville is one of the small ones. And doesnt carry all of the things that the large Ingles Super Stores carry!!.
The best when you need something.
Amazing! Wish we had these in Florida!
I can get pretty much everything I need for all my meals here. The fresh food area has improved. The bakery has improved. They have a flower shop. They have a buffet. They have 4 different places by the bakery to get already cooked meals. They have a little ice cream shop. They have a Starbucks. Excellent👍👏😆
The manager likes to accuse everyone of shoplifting. Makes for uncomfortable shopping. Everyone doesnt steal. Some of us value our safety and freedom
Nice folks, clean store
It definitely needs a facelift, but it doesnt need to be one of the gigantic store. It is nice being able to get in and out quickly and not have to walk a mile to get from one end to the other.Local beer selection is pretty sparse, and the beer cooler cannot keep the beer cold at all. Im constantly having to buy in advance or stick them in the freezer for a good hour.Organic food selection is limited, especially in the meat section. Ive never seen a steak I would buy and grill.Staff are friendly and helpful if you need something.
Always a great selection and variety of items. Clean and orginized.
I like to take a trip back to 1976 from time to time. This Ingles has everything you need to throwback from decor and service. When every other Ingles has renovated, updated, or rebuilt - this store had held steadfast in the past. A little disco on the overhead speaker would make this a 5 star review.
It is a chain but the atmosphere is totally that of a neighborhood grocery store. Produce and bakery are both great. So is the beer and wine selection.
The store is ran by a sociopath and the employees are some of the rudest I have ever encountered
Ingles, come in handy when you have an advantage card with points on it...
Definitely one of the roughest Ingles in town. Not theyre fault the parking lot stays full of shady looking characters asking for the money Im trying to buy my groceries with but the vibe runs throughout.
Overall a great source for most items youll need.. fruit display could be a little more thoughtful, many times weve passed on the fruit at the front due to flies, mold, gnats.. but usually we can find the same produce further back in the cooler cases without those issues.
Convenient location and everything I needed
Always was an experience
West Asheville Ingles is where youll most likely run into someone you know! Never trouble parking. They have a bulletin board with local services and events. Great prices, Great smiles
The singles was as good as the rest of them I guess.
Good
This Ingles is the bottom of the totem pole so to speak. They have limited fresh produce and limited local organic food. This is a good place to get beer and chips but not weekly groceries.
It is a very busy place. I go in and out as fast as i can. The workers have smiles to greet and great conversation. Its awesome
I love Laura Lynn and I dont care who knows it. I just wanna get with that. She can sweet, salty or spicy. She aint pretentious. Always there, pretty much anything you need and costs less than the national name brands. But not in a cheap way, nahmsayin? Feel me? Woooooooooooo child!
Good prices, plenty of cashiers to for checkout and inventory on shelves. Much better than Walmart.
Walked around confused and nobody tried to explain the whole layout when you have visitors I think people should be more perceptive on helping them to spend money . Some people dont know how to gamble but stop because its a eye catcher as far as the boat go. They need to be more welcome to guests.
They try to get their produce from local farms, always seems very fresh. Everything grocery you would need, plus they will order items for you if you cant find it on the shelf. Also, empty apple boxes are free out front if you are moving.
Cashiers are so polite and quick
In my opinion one of the best grocery stores on our planet. Bob and his team have done awesome job. I remember his first store on hwy 25 guess Im telling my age. Keep up the good work I guess his children are running the show.
Everything was great except for one item not making it into my bag.
The new cleaning crew is awesome. Much improved from the last crew.
Great deli!!
Thanks for always having my coffee cream or. Creamora is the best and thanks to Bordens for still making it. Really good stuff. Can not find out on PNW. That would be Washington State.
Best place and only place I will ever go to buy fresh produce or any kind of meat! But they could do a lil better on prices, give Walmart a lil competition for a change, be good for them.
Dldnt love at all everyone was crazy over virus and it was worse than black Friday traffic
Always good food. Best meat they cut anything up the way you want. Pharmacy always remembers what I need.
We go here just about everyday
Produce looked really old. Young man working in deli really friendly. Girl at register must have been practicing for softball the way she was throwing my food. Always appreciate the man who bags my groceries.
Prices are high but the quality of the food is very good, especially meats....jaX
