Had high expectations for this place, that was my fault, durring these times we all need to lower our expectations. Got a bad vibe as soon as I walked in. Prices seemed too high, bagels looked too small. After seeing the price of their lox and bagels ($8+) I decided to buy a 1/2 dozen to-go and make my own at home. The best thing I can say and maybe the most important is that the bagels are real, good skin and chew, not some fake bread-like bagels. The everything bagels were nice even if most of the topping fell off when I cut them. 7 weeks of smoke here in Ashland has made me extra critical. Being the chimney of California is a real drag. I was going to give a 2 star review but thats just my raw emotions. We are all in this together as they keep telling us from their mansions and yachts so my honest impression is that they have real bagels here, prices are high like everywhere and we need to lower our expectations and give eachother a break.
Very nice people who work and i think own it? Had a onion bagel with cream cheese. Nice shop. 🙂
Great little stop for a morning bite! Great service and wonderful bagels. Would definitely come again.
Great spot, highly recommended the veggie bagel! Tons of healthy veggies, perfect for brunch.
Best. Lox. In. The. Rogue. Valley. Such lovely people, such great food, 10/10 love me some lil shop!
Little Shop of Bagels for liiiffffeeee!!! Started coming here regularly just before the pandemic and in addition to the amazing variety of bagels and spreads and toppings to choose from, their handling of the pandemic (the people complaining about the customer service must not have to navigate changes at their own jobs *eye roll*) kept me coming back for the last year.Today they gave me my food in this bag and, you guys, I feel so loved! I wish nothing but continued success to their business and will keep coming back for the years to come.
Great bagels sandwiches. People were friendly as well.
Great bagels but for crying out loud, get some consistency with your opening hours. If you order on-line you run the risk of the place not being open on time. Im not talking 5 or 10 minutes. I waited 20 minutes, banging on the windows with another person. Nothing, nada, zip.We both gave up and left. People waiting who had ordered on-line and paid were still waiting when I left.
Best Bagels in the valley. Good selection of flavors. I like to call ahead to pre-order since I often get a few dozen. They have sit in service covid permitting.
Delicious bagels! High quality! But they take a long time to make, and they are quite pricey.
Had the tuna sandwich...yummy
I live nearby and love getting food from here. Not only is their food tasty, but their customer service is very kind. I got a bag today with a handwritten message in some very nice handwriting that said Have a nice day Ethan! It did actually help to make my day. Thank you Little Shop!
Traveling from out of town and tried this place out. Waited 25 minutes for a toasted bagel on a weekday. They were out of juice. The bagel was dry and the spread was not good. Took two bites and threw the rest away. Would not recommend!!!
Grew up getting bagels here. Just like everyone else says this place has gone sooooo downhill. Employees have a terrible attitude. Made me wait an hour for a bagel and still managed to mess my order up. Manager accused me of lying about the order being incorrect. She blamed the pandemic for all of the problems and said she wasnt even supposed to be working and wasnt getting paid.
Very good bagels and toppings. Coffee is so-so and could easily be improved. The patio heater is broken—the outdoor patio is currently the only seating they have.
Best bagel I ever did have. Super nice people. 👌💞
Employee not friendly. Bad attitude. Bad service and I dont even have high standards.
Talk about slow service. I ordered three bagels toasted with cream cheese and it took well over a half an hour. Weren’t even warm when I finally got them.
The bagels are good, its alittle expensive for bagels.I would recommend
This place got a 5 out of me. The best bagels in the Rogue Valley. This place makes New York city quality bagels and I have been to New York many times. They are light, good texture and done to perfection. Many verities to choose from and loads of options for the discriminating tastes. Outside seating is available along with good coffee and fine people.
Amazing service, and the food was even better. Thank you!
Great local place that has served the community well for a long time. Bagels and fixings are always good and reasonably priced.
Loved it.. Great breakfast spot.
Phenomenal bagels
I ordered online and called once I got to location as instructed. No one answered the phone as staff watched me as I waited for 15 mins. Then, finally someone came out and tossed my bagels on the table. This wasn’t a warm welcome for my first visit. Very disappointed.
Best bagel shop ever. Such good toppings and cream cheese!!! NOM. I love the outdoor seating environment too. Always so nice to my dog Otis and I. (They came out to feed him ham 🤣)
Best beagles in town!
Good GF bagels, fresh toppings, and good service.
We said lightly toasted and because they werent lightly toasted my husband couldnt eat his. He was also unhappy that there werent more sweet bagel options like blueberry. Mostly savory options were offered. Mine tasted pretty good though so I still give 3 stars.
Great bagels but 2$ extra for some of the condiments is a bit much (two thin slices of browned avocado). They also offer gluten free bagels, not the best but still a great option for gluten free people.
Customer service has gone downhill since COVID changes.
Rude service
A little tricky to find off the main road, but google maps helped. We walked about 15/20 minutes to get here and it was well worth it for the best bagel I’ve ever had. I was able to make mine to order, and they have a huge range of ingredients/options. Friendly staff. Would recommend.
Tasty bagels - excellent lox sandwich - good food for decent pricing (menu pricing does not include Ashland food tax)
Ashland icon. The best bagels on I-5. The owner Fran is really cool. She really cares. Organic, free-range, humanly raised bagels. I absolutely love this place, and you will too!
Really kind workers and yummy bagel sandwiches for our breakfast today!!!
Being from NYC I had no expectations. However, these bagels were great. Used to come here for breakfast 2 or 3 times a week with my girlfriend at the time when I lived in Ashland. Was a nice reminder of home!
Great service, and great food! Always highly recommend. This is a family owned business that has been around for a long time. They are a treasure to the community.
I was excited on my road trip to find this place; nice service and options. I ordered my veggie bagel sandwich to go. Headed up the road another hundred miles and pulled over at a rest stop to enjoy.... so disappointed there was a very long hair embedded in the cream cheese. So check your sandwich before you leave. $10 for coffee and a sandwich I threw away
This is a family favorite. fresh organic bagels and if you dont cry the sprouted wheat hiker bagel with sun-dried tomato cream cheese you are missing out. my wife took her kids here once a week on the way to school on a late day for years and we still go back. Nobody in our family ever says no to going there.
Waited nearly 10 minutes for service but did not see anyone. We decided no worries as we needed to use the restroom after driving for hours. No joy as the restroom door has a combination lock. We turned back towards the counter just to be cut off by 2 men rushing towards the counter. They appeared to know the guy that finally came out of the back as they were already placing their order. We decided to try our luck elsewhere.
I love this place. Theyre bagels are the best. But its kind of slow getting one there.....
Great variety, lots of options. I ordered bagel w/cream cheese to go. The amount of cream cheese slathered on was almost obscene. I, personally, had to scrape quite a bit off. Others may love it.Beware the hipster customers though. They will block the coffee bar, slowly tasting each coffee option before committing. Not to mention take a lifetime making a bagel decision, before directing the staff, from across the restaurant, where, exactly, to place their food items. It would be much easier to step away from the coffee bar, take your plate, and place it where youd like.
The tomato melt with pepper jack is to die for. Pretty slow service most days, but it’s worth the wait!
We have loved the little shop of bagels for decades! Best bagels around and now with a bigger better expanded space to enjoy your food and drinks in. Cant go wrong eating here with their many bagel and spread choices. Super yum!!!
I appreciate a good bagel, and a large part of the experience of enjoying said bagel has to do with the establishment where it is served. The first time I visited Little Shop of Bagels I was quite impressed..it was lively, the staff was friendly and the walls were bright, cheery and it felt like a nice place to relax. The second visit, which took place around a year after the first, was an entirely difference experience. The staff was disinterested in providing a welcoming experience and mostly acted as if we were ungrateful for the opportunity to even grace their door. After placing the order and getting a beverage from the coolers, which required a bottle opener, I asked the staff at the counter either for a bottle opener or to have the bottle opened. After an excessively dramatic display that clearly showed that *I* was out of line for asking to have my bottle opened..it was opened and simply set on the counter as they walked away. The walls, which once were clear and bright, were now covered by local drawings and art, largely by children, however there were some very odd and kind of creepy pieces done by adults. After getting the bagels, one of which was obviously prepared wrong, we left and wrote it off as an isolated incident, and wrote a review on Facebook. Nothing came of it for six months...and then...The owner, on her personal account, got on and made a passive aggressive you dont like child art?. It completely ignored the substance of the review, and instead attacked a one off line in the review. No attempt was made to address the business concerns, and instead elected to labor on something largely inconsequential to the business. The owner seems to have struggled with the concept of not allowing criticism of the business to become personal. So if youre reading this, Francesca, good luck getting Google to remove this review, and I hope you have even better luck in silencing me in person as I tell everyone who wants a recommendation about where to eat in Ashland..where NOT to visit and give their business to.
By far the best bagels in Ashland. My favorite spread is the Mexican. Add fresh tomato. Yum
Bagels are great, but the young folks who run it want to close before theyre closed, based on the official hours. So, you may not get eggs at 2 pm, though theyre available *all day,* and you maynt get a coffee refill 10 minutes before closing, cause they dumped it without asking if you wanted a refill. Let me be clear -- these kids are really nice, but you feel sometimes, like youre a problem to them?
The bagels were great! However the 2 interactions I had with the cashier were really disappointing. She glared at me when I was looking at the menu, rolled her eyes at one point and then was just apathetic with her job and myself as a customer. Good food, but the service will keep me away in the future.
They have gluten free bagels that are indistinguishable from regular bagels and absolutely delicious.
Best bagels around. Day olds taste fresh and way cheaper. They freeze well too.
Its hard to find gluten free bagels, especially ones that taste good! But this place has several different gf flavor options (plain, sesame, everything, etc) and a variety of different creme cheeses and preparations.I got the smoked salmon gf everything bagel with red onion and cucumber and it was delicious. Highly recommend coming here. I know Ill be back (probably every weekend)!!
Really yummy. The veggies on my bagel sandwhich were fresh and crisp. Possibly best tasting and looking sprouts I have ever had. Garlic and herb bagel just added to the wonderful freshness of my sandwich. Fiance had the breakfast sandwich on a jalapeno bagel and not a crumb was left.
Great vegan and organic options, delicious coffee and the bagel was light and fresh. Absolutely perfect for breakfast!
Best bagel shop in Ashland (do not go to Einsteins on campus). The bagels are made fresh every day and the selection is impressive. Amazing food for a great price.
My single bagel was partially raw on the inside. I asked for 2 bagels when I ordered. I also asked What is your best seller? The response, Well, that depends on your tastes. No, it doesnt. This is a question designed to find out what most people buy in your establishment. Maybe, Id like that item, as well? If employees cant understand plain simple questions, how do they figure out more complicated things like, cooking times, shop cleanliness? I wont be back.
Good variety of bagels served by friendly people — perfect for a quick breakfast while on the road.
Great gluten free bagels, dairy free cream cheese, toppings, and fresh local ingredients.
Pure love! Bring it on! Yummy coffee! Delicious bagels! Happy place!
Fantastic bagels and cream cheese spreads!
Nobody better hot butter and cheddar
A real staple of the community, staff is always helpful and awesome :) Bagels are the best in the game!
This place is the best for a bagel sandwich. They are to die for. Drove all the way from California just for this place!!
Food was good, lots of choices, $20 for a tuna melt and a breakfast bagel.
Best local fast-n-fresh breakfast. Definitely try their marionberry cream cheese!
I loved my bagel sandwich one of the only bagel places around. Happy to have a yummy one
Have lots of vegan options and everything was fresh- but that’s no good if the food is not edible. Bagels were rock hard, and they didn’t get my cheese option correct. Won’t go back, don’t recommend
Excellent bagels and friendly service, a must try if you are in the area.
The best quick-stop breakfast spot in town. Hands down.
Bagels are small but mighty! Not the best I’ve ever had but quite yummy. Get a breakfast sandwich!
Large menu, vegan options, very friendly and helpful staff. Great stop!
Even though the entire town of Ashland lost gas service including Little Shop of Bagels, they still served fresh food with friendly service. Thanks LSB !
Great bagels made fresh every day and the staff is very friendly. There are so many options to choose from it would take forever to go through them all, but Id be more than happy to try.
Fresh bagels that have that homemade quality to them. Lots of choices on the menu, somewhat confusing. Customizations also available, e.g. ham and cheese bagel.
Been going here since I was a kid, still the same great place to grab a bagel with whatever you want piled on top. Lots of healthy choices!
Salmon cream cheese bagel is a must try.
Love love loveGreat food and very pleasant staff!
Really yummy bagels. Appreciate the organic and home grown ingriedients.
Rude service at the counter. Out of everything at the coffee bar. Definitely wont be back.
The bagels are good but the in-house, specialty cream cheeses are the crowned jewel of this establishment!
Good bagels...not happy with the fact that I cant call in a to go order. I dont have time in the morning to wait for it, I need it to be ready for pick up so I can go to work.
Everybody loves lil shop!
Great selection of bagel related stuff and good place to grab something before hitting the movie theater.
Phenomenal bagel shop. A family-favorite
Great Bagels with alllll kinds of toppings!
I used to be a fan of this establishment until I left a truthful, constructive review on Facebook one day. I indicated that the atmosphere felt cold and creepy but also that I had problems with my last order. I gave it a fair three stars. Several months later the owner of the establishment comments on my review using her personal account confronting me about the local and children’s artwork hanging in the restaurant and asking me in a hostile tone if I found that “creepy.”I’d made no reference in my review to any of the artwork but it was intended as general feedback as the place has more of a clinical feel; ie there’s never any music playing, the staff tends to kind of glare at you, etc. She didn’t seem to care about my order not being correct at all and whether or not her staff was doing their job. There was no “give us another try” or “what could we do better?” Basically the trend from the reviews is that constructive criticism is not at all accepted and if anything usually challenged. I admit my original review on the atmosphere wasn’t as detailed as it could have been but I would have been ok if I was asked to expand on what I’d originally said, versus being somewhat attacked by the owner.Overall the place has lost my patronage because of the attitude issue, which is sad because the food is good as my Facebook review indicated.
Delicious local breakfast bagels! Not only to they sell just bagles and cream cheese but they have bagle sandwiches. So many choices!!! 5 choices of creamcheese, over 10 different bagels to choose from. And the service is superb!
Unfortunately, I can not comment on the food. I didnt make it past the front door. I was told my service dog was not allowed in with me, contrary to the law. So we left. Im disappointed that they are not better educated about disabilities.
Great bagels for fairly cheap, really nice place to grab a quick breakfast.
Come here every weekend for breakfast! Friendly staff and great selection of bagels add on.
Wonderful sandwich shop, they use fresh veggies!
Always yummy, always crowded. Like their coffee!
Best place ever! Friendly staff, best bagels around!
I enjoyed it. My bagel sandwich was yummy.
Our to-go bagels were served open faced with paper stuck on them and stacked. ALL the cheese sticks to the paper. Also its expensive.
Great food and service
