Its a nice grocery store. The clerks were both helpful and polite. I dont shop here often because my life is oriented to the west of my home and this is to the east but about equidistant from my regular grocery store. I found the pricing to be similar to my regular store. Conveniently located about a mile or so from the local Walmart I think I will have to reconsider my shopping habits.

Always love Hannaford. The items are layed out so its easy to find them. It also makes it easy to grocery shop from one end to the other. The major plus is their app. I save hundreds of dollars a year. Plus I get back alot of cash back rewards

Hannaford is basically the only store I choose to shop in. I know pretty much where everything is. All there people are great and friendly and more than willing to help you find something you are looking for. The other stores are to big and I cannot find anything. I am handicapped so everything makes it less stress and easier to find whatever. That is about the good things and why I prefer to shop in Hannafords....😃😉👍

Hannaford is a great grocery store, even this one, which is a tad smaller than ones I used to shop. It has most things I need, but may miss on the occasional item. Prices can be a bit higher in produce section than at the other local major grocery store, with smaller produce items, but the items are always fresh. I have a friend who will only shop Hannaford!

I love the fact that such a great source of foods is located in this neck of the woods. This location has some of the best people working here!

I like Hannafords to buy frozen foods and deli cheeses. They have new and different things you cannot buy st Market Basket. I also like their app for coupons.

I would have zero complaints if the baggers were trained at all. I shouldnt have to repack because my raw salmon, candy and fabric softener are in the same bag. Not even close to a 1 time thing. Last time I spoke up, the woman snapped back with I wrapped it in plastic. Its fine.Update: Stopped going unless I bag myself for a small trip. Its the same thing every time except one single time. I shouldnt be surprised when my bags arent 10lbs and all crammed together. (Or reach to grab my purse and find bags on top of it.)

I have been shopping at Hanaford since it opened, as ShopnSave. The produce is good. The organic goods are mixed in with the conventional food all over the store. The cashiers are always polite.Head and shoulders above all the others is the manager. One day my beloved cat Gray Cat was pregnant, and I brought her with me when I went to get groceries. The manager wheeled my heavy cart out through the snow to the truck.As he was loading the groceries into the back seat, he saw the cat having a difficult labor. For some reason he had a feline obstetrics kit on his tool belt, and he was ready. In a commanding voice, he said Stand back everyone! Grant the lady some privacy! Im going in!We all stood back, and went in and raided the bakery case in honor of the impending birth. After a while we walked over to Stans Liquor, across the parking lot, and bought tequila for shots with doughnuts. The alcohol melted the seal on the little Hanaford complimentary cups. We had a hell of a mess.After three hours, the Hero Manager came in with Gray Cat and a box full of kittens!Now its a Orange-Athol Hanaford tradition to each year pick a shopper of the year, and award them a box full of kittens!

It’s great to have fun at work and all, but when all you can hear is shrieks and things being thrown around in the bakery department, and none of the pastries have been baked for the day, it’s maybe time to calm down and throw some things in an oven. The sounds of a toddler throwing a fit are less ear piercing than what was coming out of that bakery.

Its ok not that great go to market basket for better products

Best place in town to buy organic and the freshest produce. Also a large product selection of Gluten free products.

Actually 4.5 Stars from me. Hannaford is our preferred grocery store in the area as it has almost everything we are looking for (hence the .5 deduction). Even with the covid restrictions in place its very easy to shop here. Its even on Instacart now if you need that option. Plus I just like the people who work at the store,.

Bought a gallon of skim milk that turned bad in less than one week. The expiration. Date was the same date it turned bad

It started out with a crushed salad because it was bagged wrong. But I was very pleased when I brought it back and I got a free salad as they gave me my money back and I still got a salad.

Hannaford has obviously invested in service training. Their associates are very helpful and pleasant.During this pandemic my wife and prefer to shop there. We feel safe.

I am so disappointed. I have been buying the lobster mac and cheese for a long time and its been great. Went in this week and its awful. Very bland and no discernable lobster. I also got the chicken with noodles. It used to be lo mein noodles. Now its more like spaghetti and the portions are much less. I like this store because its never crowded like Market Basket but if this keeps up Ill be going elsewhere.

I love the convenience of Hannaford. The workers are super helpful. The store is extremely clean. Some things are a bit pricey though it can be made up for in the meat department, extremely fair on meat prices. Especially during the Corona when all other stores like Walmart and MB are price gouging their meats Hannafords did not.

Its always a joy shopping here. Freshest produce and meats around. Workers are all upbeat and friendly.

Produce section can be hit or miss, but everything else is usually in ample supply. Often calmer and quieter than other area markets, even on comparatively busy days.

It was by means a bad experience. Kinda of an old dropped in need of updating but its great. We got a lot of good for 28 bucks. The staff was very friendly. There was a strong emphasis on local events and culture which is nice to see. Happy to be part of this community.

I have found expired food at 3 different visits to this location.Around a year ago now, there was a really bad rainstorm and there was a large puddle inside the store without any signs near by or any urgency to get the puddle cleaned up. I ended up slipping on the puddle and falling down, which hurt and was embarrassing. They then decided to clean the puddle after the incident. I am more relieved that it was me that slipped and not an elderly person.

Good local grocery store with a good selection of fresh veggies and fruits, meats, seafood, deli & a bakery section offering to-go donuts, pastries & coffee (from a Keurig). Well-laid out and helpful employees. Clean bathrooms too.

I used to shop here a lot with my family, they have great prices and a very friendly crew. They hire a lot of people as whenever we would go there they always had new workers training there. It’s worth shopping in that area even with all the new stores opening up in the area.

Not to busy or cramped they keep the lines moving. Organized products. Easy to find. Always nice. Open till 10pm. And I love the fact allot of their products are locally made/grown.

Good store to shop

Its always a good clean store and staff is typically helpful. They just did a remodel of the registers and have added self checkouts which is kinda nice when youre in a hurry and only need a few things. However they made one of the first registers the customer service booth as well which I think is kinda crazy.

More reasonably priced than Greenfield or Northampton grocery stores and the bag thing is no issue if you bring your own reusable ones. Market Basket is all the way across town so for someone coming from the west, good location

This store is a gem in ATHOL,Ma! It might be smaller than its competitors. But, it makes up for it in so many ways. Wonderful friendly staff,CLEAN, fully stocked & blocked. Deli, Produce, Seafood,Meat,Bakery. Where the give you their undivided attention unlike the competitor. I had to drive 20 miles one way to buy a special food for our senior dog”Fresh Pet Dog food. . I have asked about getting this product into both Hannaford & Market Basket. Hannaford now has a new “Fresh Pet” refrigerated case! Thank you for the Best Customer Service!

Surprisingly good selection of most everything. Store layout is infuriating. Very hard to find some things, even for staff when asked. That said, the staff are good, helpful people. Prices are average to a little high for the area but they dont have much competition so I cant blame them fir gauging a little.

It like most super markets. You need to look around for whats on sale. Because some things are great price and other you go some where else to buy it

The deli is as good or better than any around. The staff is the biggest asset of this store. They are friendly, helpful from the cart collectors in the parking lot, the deli workers, cashiers, baggers. All of them are top notch.

Great for the staples (bread milk eggs). Frequently disappointed by the freshness of the produce and the sea food. Purchased several dry food items to get them home to find them out of date. Was warned at service desk that i should be checking dates on everything there before buying; so i guess that means poor inventory rotation.

Its ok but I didnt know that you can only sign up for their savings program online. I wanted to do it in store. Maybe you can, but the cashier wasnt interested in helping me.

Local supermarket with a wide variety of packaged and fresh food and generally low prices. Note for travelers: The deli area is extensive and this would be a great place to grab lunch or a meal if looking for better and healthier food option in the area.

They usually have everything I want and I think their deli and meat and seafood counters and bakery are advantages for fresh product.

This place is just over priced. Plastic bag ban in place but want to now charge for paper bags? Lets chop down more trees to be eco friendly....all done with Hannaford not-so-supermarkets.....
