Well that was a wasted trip. Highly unprofessional to just up and change your hours but have the audacity to still say 24/7 in your business description and on several other sites. You wont have to worry about me coming here because of wasting mine and many other guests time. I wont know because I will now make sure I go out of my way to ignore this place. You arent even open for many hours. Very poor experience.

Every city has there own 24/7 diner located in downtown which are atleast 75 years old. For Atlanta Majestic diner is that place. So while coming back from smokies we planned to visit this diner in Atlanta. Staff was awesome and we were seated real quick. We got our coffee real quick and it took us some time to decide what should we eat because They have option from typical breakfast plates to burger, sandwich and some southern fare.Got a veggie burger, fried okra, grits and pork chop. Food arrived real quick, hot and delicious.

This was my first time to Atlanta and I stayed at the Hotel Claremont just down the street, I asked the front desk for a suggestion and they said — “If you are up for a short walk away there is a great diner called The Majestic Diner for breakfast.”I made my way there and sat at the bar. The environment was calm and the staff was very attentive. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros with Chorizo within minutes of sitting down. I loved seeing the open kitchen and the food prepped right in front of you by the chef. The food was prepared quickly and in front of me to enjoy.I like to order huevos rancheros because every restaurant has their own take on it. The presentation was different than what I’m used to but it looked appealing. It was delicious. The chorizo was cooked very well and had a great flavor to it all. Also, getting in your beans for breakfast is a healthy start to the day since most American diets are almost void of fiber. I’m not used to cheddar cheese not being fully melted but by time I made my way to that side of the plate it was in good form. I really liked the fact they chose to leave the salsa and sour cream on the side. The salsa was simple as it should be because it complicated the plate very well. I don’t usually eat sour cream and kept it off to the side.Overall, I was pleased with my meal and especially happy with the service. I was never out of water and everyone was very pleasant at such an early time time in the morning. I would definitely come back for more. If you’re in town and need a good home cooked breakfast this is a good spot.

I went to Majestic Diner twice on my Atlanta trip, once for my favorite dessert the baklava Sunday and the second time for the Bagel with lox. I lived in Atlanta 15 years ago and Majestic diner was the go to after bar spot. Its like Waffle House, Dennys, IHOP, etc. Everytime Ive eaten there the food is good and consistent. The waiters have always tended to me and customer service is great. During the day, there isnt a lot of people, so there us usually no wait. At night its typically packed after 2 am. I always try and hit up Majestic whenever I go to Atlanta.

Pros:- quick service- chili was good- Grilled cheese was great- open 24 hoursCons:- a hit expensive for a dinerIts impossible to miss from the outside, with its bright neon signage. The food is decent but a bit expensive compared to what I would expect from a diner. Theyre placed in a prime location and are open all night, so it would be a great (only?) place to hit up after going to the surrounding bars.I hear they have good pie and shakes too

Food was great & the service was even better. Traveling from out of town & sought out Majestic specifically for the classic Diner experience. They did not disappoint. The food & coffee were fantastic. Love that theyve been open since the 1920s. Our Waitress/Hostess, Camryn, was patient, kind, helpful, on the ball & a genuine pleasure to meet. The chef was fun to watch as he cooked the orders with skill & precision, almost like he was creating art. Several regulars made conversation with staff & they were friendly & kind & treated them like family. It is obvious that the staff here really love their jobs. I hope the Majestic is around for another 100 years.

This places serves it’s purpose, offering cheap(ish) diner favorite and retro charm on a road where Waffle House is suspiciously absent: a notable occurrence here in Atlanta. The milkshakes and sandwiches are mostly great, but items coming from the fryer are often not cooked until crispy, yielding a soft, sometimes soggy result. I’d recommend having fries (for example) well done. Despite some inconsistencies, I’m still grateful for the glitzy presence of The Majestic Diner on Ponce, and I hope it is around for many more years.

I ordered two spinach and feta omelets to go. They said on the phone (and so does the menu) that you can exchange hash browns for grits, so I did that with both orders. A friend picked up the order and did not check the receipt before paying. The restaurant charged extra for the hash browns ($4 total) and also added a $3.71 gratuity. Which makes absolutely no sense, because it was a to go order that was picked up there didn’t need to be a tip nor a delivery fee. I’ve never seen gratuity automatically added at a restaurant unless there was a large party being waited on. The food itself was just okay, not bad but not great. Everything was greasy. I will not be returning here, as I think these are unfair business practices and someone is trying to take extra money from their customers that wasn’t earned. $30 for two omelets and some bland potatoes is ridiculous at a diner.
