This stores location is kind of odd but when you walk in you will quickly forget about anything outside. There is a very well organized massive selection of various musical instruments and gear with a knowledgeable and personable staff who maintain a perfect balance of salesmanship and leave the musicians the hell alone and let them play.
Fantastic customer service and they match competitors prices. Chris and Dennis were super knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks guys! They offer comparable shipping so think about them before Amazon!
Biggest guitar center I have ever entered as far as inventory. They have hundreds of guitars and bass in stock. The staff is very helpful, and the atmosphere is very laid back, which made me feel comfortable enough to spend quite a bit of time wandering around looking at all the inventory. Awesome store. 🤘 Bought a Schecter 8 string guitar, Martin acoustic, presonus CS18AI, and a set of Yamaha HS8 monitors.
Great place, plenty of memories and familiar faces usually. Only catch Id say now is that if you get a quote about something over the phone make sure you get a name. For the longest time this place had the same employees that knew half of the faces in music in Atlanta. New people working more often is not a good thing guitar center. Retain your employees
The folks there..on Oct. 21st around 12 oclock..were very courteous and knowledgeable. Which is rare in this day and time! Hats off. 👍👊
Fantastic tech support at the repair center and finished work far sooner than expected. When I wanted to grab some starter items for my partner, Brandon was particularly attentive and helpful in finding the right gig bag and capo, plus check me out for some repair work. Outstanding service.
I hadnt been in years. I took an old amplifier in for appraisal. Although they didnt end up buying it from me due to a problem with one of the channels, they were extremely nice and very thorough looking over the amp. Ive never had a bad experience there and their selection of guitars is still great.
Always fun always entertaining and amazing.
If you are music freak then this is the place for you. I am there once a week and the staff mostly work in the business so they are really helpful with any questions. My kids have taken some of the lessons there and the instructors are not only nice but really good. I am glad things are getting back to normal so I can start going back. Great place for any music needs.
Had exactly what I wanted in a pinch and sometimes that is the ultimate shopping experience.
We ordered a guitar for “curbside” pickup. Once I arrived at the store, which was hours after I received the “order ready for pickup” email & text…I parked and clicked “I’m here” in the email as instructed, after 20 minutes of waiting no one came out, I tried calling and of course no one answered the business phone. What’s the use of ordering curbside if the store isn’t going to bring items out. My other half ended up going inside the store to get our purchase and when he asked the employee what’s the purpose of offering curbside if no one is going to bring items out…the employee replied apologized and said they are under staffed. If that’s the case, which is understandable; then turn off the curbside option on the website, just offer in store pickup only. I really wish I wouldn’t have bought anything from this store. I enjoy patronizing businesses that value their customers.
Came in to buy an expensive keyboard and there was no help whatsoever.Never have seen such bad customer experience for such a large purchase. Walked out and took business somewhere where they would give a paying customer the time of day :)Edit: we ended up driving across the street to a locally owned piano store and bought a piano 5x the cost of what we were looking for at guitar center - mainly in part due to the amazing customer service!
Great selection of Keyboards. Information provided from staff was useful. Jarred helped a lot. He was an ALL STAR just because he put forth extra effort and was very knowledgeable about the items were were purchasing.
Not much of a drums selection and it can be tough getting an associates attention for a question or to check out. Not bad if you need heads or sticks in a pinch
2 days ago I came in and played the GPC 16 E. Unique because it is the amber finish. Bought an Alvarez 610 instead. Next day I traded up to a Taylor 214ce DLX. Loved it but it had lacquer finish on back and sides. Not a solid body. Came back today, picked up the Martin. Lee helped me and was super patient and informative. SO happy with the decision to pony up the extra $$ for the Martin. I have been coming to this store since 1984 when it was Rhythm City! Same vibe still today. Laid back and helpful staff. Thank you Lee!
Helpful staff but they are cool with you just looking too
Wanted my guitar pickup fixed and was treated honestly and courteously.
Very quick and friendly service for a pick up order
Theyve treated me with nothing but respect and professionalism. From the North to the South. Any issue Ive had never once was questioned. They made it right, now lets continue doing business. Respectfully to the Guitar Centers in Mayfield, Ohio..., Erie, Pennsylvania.. and her in Atlanta. I cant speak for everyone else but Ill definitely speak up if someone trys to put them down in my presence. Thank You G.C. your the best 🙏🏾☮️❤🤌🏾
They restrungy acoustic for $20 in about 20 minutes. Cant beat that. Thanks guys!
Wish I had more time to talk to the sales rep.... he was very informative and professional... when I return, I will be looking for him and get his name so he can be rewarded for a job well done...
Excellent Pros all the way around!!!! ☺️
Left handed people play guitar but this company ignores us. Also sells cheap over priced Chinese tuners that dont work.
Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. They do a good job of having equipment for every shopper’s budget level. Hard to beat a $20 restring, although it is currently taking a couple days to get done. My only negative is the store and especially parking lot could use a refresh. Kind of dingy with trash everywhere, sadly.
Great pl e to sell your old gear
Went in a few days ago to ask for help about a product that I spent $1,400 on. The human in audio told asked me a question, looked at me like I was crazy, and then walked away from be as if I was trash or bothering him. I had to get help from someone in line who was a fellow MPC owner. I dont appricaite this lack of customer service and I would not reccoment shoopping here while this person is employed. Jus t beware of the african american man in Audio, by the MPCs. Called management but Im sure they did nothing and he still has a job. Dont go to work if you dont want to be there.
Jordan is a Rockstar! I love my Gibson Les Paul.
Always love going in here. You get to see what new gear is available. Prices are good and they price match competitors. Staff is fairly knowledgeable too.
Got a new Fender Bass and I am completely satisfied with it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Kudos!
Has gear you need and no problems getting something if its not in store.
I had to wait for nearly 30 mins before I could be helped. This guy told me that he would be right back. He never came back. Another guy who was helping a customer basically said hell help me after hes finished helping another customer. But he took a while. So a young guy and another guy ended up giving me some amazing customer service as well as give some top notch advice and knowledge about what I was trying to accomplish. Folks like that make it worth going to stores like guitar Center.
This is the one to go to, had exactly what I needed and have for years.
The staff is one of the most knowledgeable groups that Ive run across. they helped us do everything that we needed to do at an affordable price. Love these guys.
Easy trade in process.
First time visitor, will return...a BIG thank you to our service rep Jarred. He was a great help with our decision making on the items we purchased
Hard to find an associate (not surprising) and VERY limited percussion supplies if you need actual acoustic material and not electronic. Disappointing, as this is supposed to be one of their premier percussion locations.
Good selection of new and used gear.
Best place to rent equipment for functions
Great selection of guitars and other musical instruments.
Great place to visit and share the love for music. You can spend time playing with incredibly talented folks, listening and meeting working musicians. Sometimes even celebrities. Sales people do work off of commission so sometimes they will encourage you to buy the pricier item. Just do your research, ask questions, and they will give you honest answers.
Kris was very knowledgeable and helped make the decision to spend MORE money. Lol
Best Customer service!
Good stock, great used selection. Like guitar stores were before covid.
My Son is a drummer. He loves this place 🥁
Customer service was OK to forever to get there but once I found where it was deep in Atlanta it actually was pretty good and there’s a great store
I tried ordering a DJ Mixer that was open box and the whole process was an unorganized mess. First they told me that nothing was wrong with the unit, only for them to come back and say it had two faders repaired. They still refused to sell at any type of discount though the box was open and the product had already been damaged. They offered me free cables instead. I would’ve happily bought a new unit but it was a limited edition, OOS item. Then they took 3 days to find the power supply that they misplaced. I called everyday to check and see if my order had shipped and they still hadn’t shipped and were completely indifferent over the whole thing. I received no receipt and eventually got so frustrated that I cancelled my order. I just had a horrible feeling that I was being sold a bag of goods and that the pruduct would’ve never worked properly, when and if it actually arrived. This was a $1400 unit and they treated me like I was buying a pack of bubble gum. Terrible customer service. I won’t be ordering from them ever again.
Awesome service. Bought a Shure Mic for the wife. Please dont steal. You will get caught.
Guitar center is probably my most favorite place in the world!!! I love the atmosphere,. there is a rich history of music and musical equipment. As a guitarist I have a good time with the way its ok to pick up and play anything I want WOW, what a beautiful thing!!! I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves music.
I was Assisted by Mr. Tuesday. Extremely knowledgable, Helpful, And gave legitimate helpful suggestions. Was extremely professional And his advice to fill my need. Store was well stocked, Organized, clean & prices well marked.
SupeRaw!!!!Thank Yous💯. Its basically experiencing one of your Stepping Stones 2 DARE.....1unconditionaLove✌️....
There was some confusion about my order, but the manager was very helpful and helped resolve my issue quickly making sure I was set
They are the big beast indeed, but the woman in the acoustic guitar room was working her tail off and being so helpful and friendly the entire time. She really made the purchase a pleasure.Half a point off because the acoustic room and the high end guitar room are joined together by a door way, which made hearing the acoustic guitars exceedingly difficult over the electrical jams.Put a wall there, guitar center!
Excellent Place, the staff is Awesome
I drove 2 hours roundtrip to pickup a guitar that they didnt have or an employee snatched it. The guitar was on the website as available however, mysteriously it sold overnight over the internet. The Store Manger and other employees were totally unconcerned offered no apologies.I was told of all things to contact IT regarding the lag time between internet sales and updating the system as far as in store availability. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? IF ITS ON YOUR WEBSITE YOU SHOULD HAVE IT, END OF STORY!I guess Im supposed to believe that with all of todays technology that Guitar Center cant figure out how to remove a item from inventory once someone buts a item over the web, yeah good luck with that one!No wonder all of your stores in the surrounding areas are CLOSING!NEVER EVER,EVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME IN YOUR STORES!
I hadnt been in a few years. I wanted to pick up some equipment and check out some pro audio gear. When I walked in, the whole store was completely different and nothing made any sense. It was like a bomb went off. The shelves were barely stocked and nothing seemed to have price tags or labels. It was a shock to me, as the last time I was there, everything made sense. I left empty handed. Now I know why the store is going bankrupt. Bad decisions by terrible upper management.
Good service, nice people!
Great selection of items. Service was pretty good but I just loved it here
Bought a Taylor guitar here recently and many guitars and amps here before. Good service and plenty to chose from here for high end gear.
We had a pleasant experience purchasing our instrument, but all hell broke loose during the delivery process. Why the heck doesnt Guitar Center offer a delivery-install service for large, heavy instruments. GC offered free shipping via R&L Carriers - a carrier that delivers products to outdoor locations only. R&L (Kennesaw) had such poor, nasty customer service that my husband and I had to drive a half hour away to R&L to pick our EXTREMELY HEAVY product. (Which has to be 100 lbs HEAVIER than the weight mentioned in the description. We nearly killed ourselves trying to get our item into our home. My husband is now walking like young Forest Gump, and I feel like I need a FULL BODY CAST!) We are still asking ourselves why Guitar Center does not offer delivery-installation service. It is certainly something we would be more than happy to PAY for. Our next large purchase will certainly be from a store that does.
Good and bad lots of inventory was lacking, but I still got what I wanted to get started.
Didnt have exactly what I wanted but I was able to get something.
Everyone there was nice and helpful but I hate guitar center (the company) because of their incompetence at selling guitars and guitar accessories. If you cant buy a guitar at guitar center, where the HELL could you buy one??
Super helpful staff at this location! Fantastic selection for the aspiring musician!
I love going here the vibes in here and the experience and know how here is awesome cant wait for another visit!!!!
Shawn was an excellent employee. The store was fair; the instruments were wonderful. The audio gallery was bangin ☆
Always a great experience there, I love the customer service. I never have any problems or complaints
I recognize that were in a pandemic, but what happened to this store? I came in to buy another guitar stand that I know has been reliable and has lasted over 10 years, only to be told that the store is using these stands for merchandise. I was then sold a somewhat cheaper stand that I was told was just as reliable. Ok. I unpack this stand and the padding immediately falls off. Waste of time and $14, yet they didnt want to sell me a slightly pricier stand because they (the store) was using it. Do better, Guitar Center.
Got some awesome help from John in the guitar department. Musicians taking care of musicians is the best
Always good customer service.
Quality stock. The staff seem genuinely interested in helping out people who are just starting out with trying new instruments.
Nice remodel...Lee is the best representative to help u
They have a lot of staff working the floor still. Everyone wears masks, nobody checks temps or anything at the door but they have sanitizer out around common areas. Clean bathroom. Typical guitar center, boyfriend said he felt like this location had more of a selection but I think he was just being picky haha. We will probably go back.
The staff is very helpful and accomodating. Its the go to place for gear!
Could of been better
I will be buying a guitar from this place soon!
Guitar Center is the big box music store. However, Covid has hit them hard. First, because there are fewer costumers, its louder than it was. Second, theyve diminished inventory. Third, though proper, you can see the staff just doesnt have their heart in it unless youre making a big purchase. Fewer permanent its tough for commission based folk.It is wheelchair accessible and fully staffed, but call ahead to make sure what you need is in stock.
My wife was having an outpatient procedure at Emory so I thought Id kill some time. Staff was very professional. The store was pretty trashed. I know how rude customers can be just playing stuff and throwing it down. I kept my hands in my pocket trying not to touch anything as to not contaminate in case I was asymptomatic. I found a nice guitar strap I liked. A gentleman immediately rang me up. Security guard thanked me as I left. Excellent experience.
The only game in town...
My guys always have a great experience at this Guitar Center. The staff is always helpful & friendly.
Great place of buying musical instruments or just hang around.
Customer service is great here.
GOOD SERVICE
I walked in here the other night, after having some issues trying to get a guitar, from guitar center previously (not their fault). Talked to the manager Geoff, told him the story, essentially I missed an awesome deal, because even though my credit score is awesome, my history wasnt long enough for finance. So I got some cash together for this epic guitar I wanted. But the deal had ended. Geoff was respectful and gave me his time when the store was closing. We worked something out, and now Im rocking out at home with my Gibson les paul. Want to give a big thumbs up and thank him, and the other staff that served me. I was ready to wash my hands of guitar center, feeling pretty salty on their third party finance company. But Geoff honestly brought me back. If you want a manager who will honestly work with you, then talk to Geoff. Hes the man. Respect him, and hell respect you.
I came in a couple nights ago a bit unprepared with a lot of questions in my head. Store was a little busy but i was BLOWN AWAY by how helpful the service was. Rick helped me browse amplifiers and find one that was best suited for me while showing 100% patience. He absolutely is responsible for that sale! This man needs to be GM of all Guitar Centers everywhere! Great new and used equipment. Great store.
These guys were a great help.
There are so much cool instruments there and it really makes me excited to see it.
Terrible customer service. No greeting when walking in. When I asked a question about a price of a product because the tag was wrong they just looked at me like I was stupid, walked off, and never came back. Most things are either tagged wrong or have new price tag/label at all. Super disorganized. Hardly anything in stock when it comes to accessories for any instrument. This location used to be THE store. It’s gone downhill now. Super disappointing location and staff just like every other guitar center now.
Always a good time!
Meh. They always have three token lefties, usually a Strat and a Tele and a low end Ibanez. They always sell quickly from what I can tell, yet thats all they ever have. Seems like if they had more lefties, they would sell.
Got a sweet relatively new Ibanez acoustic-electric guitar for cheap! They have all types of guitar, from 12 string to resonators. Im planning on getting more!
Not just me, but my family has been going to this location for many years! Even today, the staff is super helpful! At times they get slammed with customers and thats just expected for how its centrally located. If I need to be in and out ASAP they can do that. If I have 100 questions theyll answer every one of them. Only bit of improvement: When there are no customers inquiring about speakers please dont blast music super loud where I cant hear myself think LOL. This has only happened twice, but it is the nature of a place of musical instruments and gear so again what else can you expect. Other than that, the customer experience is awesome and I will continue to give praises to this location and its staff. Keep up the great work and see you soon!
This is well know music store. Staff Tracey is jolly person. He helped me personally to find a power adapter to demo a keyboard. It took 25 minutes but he did not give up.
