They are completely understaffed the line for check out goes from the front of the store all the way to the back of the store almost daily no one to ask a question of no-one in the aisles to help you and its filthy... the paint aisle alone very disappointing ....people have spray painted all over the floors the shelves the other cans of paint so you cant even tell what color they really are its way understocked ... not to mention the waste of product that no one will ever buy($THOUSANDS$) just give me a week in that store and Ill whip it into shape what a mess Meijer has gone so downhill Im so sad it used to be such a great store chain I hope their vice president sees this post
I have shopped at about five different Meijer locations on a regular basis and this location is by far the cleanest and most well organized. While everything was laid out a bit differently, it was easy to find and everything on the shelves was presented well. We like to buy quite a few specialty items and we found it all in stock. The staff was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. The beer selection was robust with quite a bit of cold beer on hand. I also appreciated the bakery with all of its fresh baked goods. This is a great location, folks. Dont hesitate.
Awful awful awful. We be purposely avoiding Meijers since the start of the pandemic, as they werent doing anything to enforce masking or hand washing. We tried a different store today. We were greeted by a young man wiping down carts. Then ran into store managers working with unhappy customers complaining about standing in line to check out for over 30 minutes 75 customers deep in line and all the self check out lines were not lit up or working. Managers telling diffrent groups of people they couldnt get help or had the time to train new hires. This from a store chain that has been making record profits. Pitiful.
Store is clean but under staffed and sadly shelves are bare in some areas! Pharmacy was fast and friendly giving us are booster covid shot!
I shopped at Kroger for years but Im trying to switch to Meijer because I feel that Meijer treats their employees better. However, it seems like Meijer is always running out of the things I need. Rarely can I get all the items on my list in a single trip. This time it was shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and bananas. Next time it will be something else.
The prices and selection are pretty good at Meijer. However, the lines and wait time to check out have been getting longer and longer each time over the past year. Its clear that Meijer is either unwilling or unable to have more than two or three traditional checkout lanes open, even on a busy Saturday afternoon. A major expansion of the self-checkout lanes is long overdue.
Easy in and out. Too many items for quick self serve, standing in long line waiting for cashier line. Had a cashier open up a closed line to get me in and out quickly. 😊🤗
The store is nice and clean, but unfortunately has some major issues. For most of the day, there are only 2-3 actual cashiers working. This leads to a massive line throughout the entire store during busy times. The self checkout is fine, but most of the time those quickly fill up. Meijer, you just need more cashiers and this store would be fantastic.
I have had a few bad experiences at this location as far as staff reactions, the line policy leaves much to be desired. Watching people aimlessly cut in front of the line of people waiting patiently and the staff though made aware of these situations will not approach or direct the people to go back to the end of the line of which people have been waiting. There are however a great number of employees that are very helpful and are very conscious of the customers. Meijers prices are honestly no different from Kroger and Kroger has the Kroger card which also has directed me to Krogers more recently as well as discount grocery stores such as Aldi. This Meijer location is clean the exterior is kept and maintained at a very good level but I believe some of the floor management need to be redressed on customer service.
Do not go to this meijer right now! No help at registers...long lines!
The produce is horrible, and hardly any organic options. They do offer a wide selection of shelf stable grocery items and the shelves were mostly fully stocked. The line for check out was long and the service team lead did offer to take me at a new register.
Lines too long. Left without making a purchase. Hope you get more help soon. I will be back though
The check out lines are god awful. Super long. For self checkout the line was back to the chip aisle, which is pretty close the back of the store. There is like 4 real cashiers thats it. This place is a joke
Huge line to check out no matter what time of day you go. Add more checkout lines since you dont want to pay employees to do it
This Meijer is always better stocked than the one on Highland which is close to me, but because this one always has more stock I drive farther for this one. They could use a dedicated shop and scan lane like the one on highland though!
I just started shopping here this year due to my health.I am happy with the food. Its so much better than Kroger. I was going that way, so stopped by to pick up some things the shopper didnt get.Everything was great until I tried to use the Pharmacy.I went to one window and was told I needed to go to a different window.I was the only person standing there, but no one was willing to wait in me.Because I was not feeling well and my ice cream was almost liquid, I left without the medicine I need. There was 3-4 people filling prescriptions and two ladies in blue that I thought were coming to help, but they walked right by.So, I know I wont be using this Pharmacy.I dont know why people who are licensed in dispensing medicine dont think that maybe the person waiting mightt not be well enough to stand inline indefinitely. If they would just acknowledge theyre aware of you would be nice.I know at least the woman who directed me to go to a different window knew I was there.Im actually glad this happened. Now Im aware of the lack of customer service.I really love the rest of the store.
Our favorite place to shop and buy groceries. Self checkout makes it easy. Good prices.
2 or 3 clerked registers open, and only 1 U-scan (no limit) registers working. Waited approx 23 min.
Every time I try to get deli meat at this location its 3rd class service. I have observed up to four employees behind the counter completely ignoring waiting customers.Just came from the store tonight and the deli worker was more interested in handing out samples to customers that already filled their order and b s. about favorite meats, cheeses and sandwiches, left after waiting for 20 minutes and was the only one waiting for service. What a joke!!!
Great help from Trenton in technology yesterday! He help me keep my speaker system by suggesting an item l needed to work on my iPhone tablet. Thanks again for your expertise!
Very nice, clean Meijer store! It has a similar layout to the Madison Heights Meijer, and is very well stocked.
I did not like my experience during checkout at all. I was at the Meijers on Brown rd. in Auburn Hills, Michigan. I was on the end opposite of the grocery side in self checkout. That cashier was super rude. Not only didnt she smile, she was literally FROWNING at me. She looked into my face to see if I was old enough to buy wine, all the time frowning, entered in some numbers to approve me and mumbled ok, youre good., and the walked away. Did I wrong this woman in another life? Terrible attitude for a person working in customer service. Get it together, whoever was working there at 2:58 p.m. TERRIBLE! I spend way too much money at Meijers to get treated like that!
Always great except checkout.Understaffed bad
Very courteous. Went to pharmacist they are awesome I paid less at Meijer with my RX Gold card when CVS didnt accept it. Great service!
Payed almost 40.00 for 2 windshield wipers then found exact same wipers at manards for $12.00 less pluse a 11 percent rebate on top of the savings
Did a online order and not happy with some of my items. Some items were sold out so I didnt get them. One item I got charged for it and never received it.Some items with substituted with item I wouldnt of even thought of purchasing. My fresh pears were a bag of rotten fruit. Any wonders why anyone would purchase rotten fruit or sub it for fresh. I will not do another online order with someone who would pick out items like this for a customer that paid for their item from a hard working JOB! The wait time to receive to order was long and they gave no receipt of my purchase or never received an email regarding my order.
Prices and selection are great. I HATE the check out system they are using. It is enough to keep me from shopping here
As a mom of 5 and 3 being special needs i dread shopping with my kids lol.. tonight the cashier onicaWent above and beyond to just be a blessing she was so nice helpfull she kept my inpatient kids so calm during check out she went above and beyond any normal cashier daily job description and my 11 yr old was crying in happiness as we loaded are stuff because of the genuine good hearted experience we had my grandma was also wowed in amazed at the kindness of a stranger during check out she is what America needs good people good hard working nice people... shes a amazing employee I hope you guys acknowledge her awesomeness thank you ....
The staff at this meijer go above and beyond in every department. The produce and selection is the best in the area. Store always looks amazingly clean. Lines can be long at times but worth it to me.
I understand that the world is short staffed right now. But the workers that do show up to Meijer deli are clearly only here to stand around and do the bare minimum. I’ve only been offered help by one employee as I’ve been standing waiting, for the last 15 mins. Employees do not communicate and most are very short with you & rude. Just take your business elsewhere.
The lines at this location are always ridiculous. Only one or two registers open. I understand many businesses are having staffing issues, but can we at least open the self check out lanes?
I been to this location more then 5 times and each time I’ve been here the lanes for check are horrible . It will 2 lanes open with a cashier and the rest of the lanes are open is self check out .. and it’s not a good experience if you have more then 20 items .. ringing up and bagging my own items as if I was employed there. The clerks that’s waking around self check out to assist customers should be at those lanes. If I need a few items is the only time I’m coming back . Spent 2 hours here just to get a week or so worth of groceries 👎🏼
Over the years I’ve shopping here it’s been nice but certain things are getting old like not having actual workers helping other peopleOctober used to be the best time to get a pumpkin this year not so much
Its a very nice store, but not well stocked. They were out of several items so I had to settle for brands I didnt like and would never normally buy. They had lines half way across the store for check out and you had to wait in line for 20 minutes.
Worst experience at a Mainer so far. I just moved to Michigan about 2 months ago and have been a regular at Kroger. We decided to stop at Meijer on the way home from work since it was closer to home. Everything was fine until we got to checkout. There were 2 registers open along with the self scan registers and the lines for both were going to the back of the store. I felt like I was shopping at Walmart. We waited in line for probably a good 15 minutes or so with only 4 items. I also signed up for mperks and tried using my phone number but it was asking for a pin which I don’t recall every having to set up. The employee helping us was not friendly and she didn’t even have a store card that we could use. Every other grocery store I’ve been to provided store cards for customers who don’t have a rewards card themselves. I thought that was weird and very inconvenient. Don’t think I’ll be returning here.
Worst shopping experience ever! Only one register was open, then the manager manned a 2nd check out. He might rank as the worlds slowest cashier. Not worth trying to make a quick trip to this Meijer. If they cant hire workers then close this store and combine it with the staff of a better run store. RIDICULOUS!
9-10pm and its still, and always, very busy! Very nice store though with good prices.
Good store - managed well and good grocery prices
This store plays an announcement to wear a Mask mask so often it can be considered Harassment.Edit: this review is now officially out of date. The issue with the lights has been fixed, but the original review will remain as this store has had a history of lax maintenance.Original review: Half of the parking lot is a safty hazard due to a lack of proper lighting. This isnt even the first time its been this bad.Guests are not expected to be wearing bright colors and the vests employees wear are not enough to keep them safe.If you must shop here, get to this store while its still light out. Otherwise, carry a flashlight.
Nice clean store. Big selection of beer thats not cold so it doesnt take up room in my fridge.
Out of fresh pet dog food, long line waiting to get to the check out then had to wait long because cashier was sooooo slow, credit card machine broke which wss not his fault but then had to move to another check out. He gave me my receipt, didnt say thank you and didnt give me my coupons. I think it will be a long time before I go back there to shop.☹☹
Liked the 15 min. Parking. They need more check outs open.
This Meijer has to be the worst Meijer in the state. Most items are poorly stocked except the adult beverages. The single line for what few cash registers they have open will drive you crazy. The produce always looks like it is on its last day. All other Meijer stores are 500% better. It must be store management with a don’t care attitude. Corporate offices should clean house and clean the location!!!
I normally love this meijer. Been shopping here for 3 years, but tonight I had the worst experience due to an extremely rude employee. I just got off a 14 hour shift of work and rushed to the store so I could get everything done before the store closed. I quickly got my groceries and stood in line at 11:45. There were only 3 of the long self checkout lanes open, and 2 were just occupied by people with a lot of stuff. I waited until the third one opened, but a man with just a few items jumped right in instead. Im not one for confrontation so I let him go ahead. He finishes, but then the register has issues, so I am waiting for an employee to try and fix it. After about 5 minutes she says its not going to be up and I need to choose another lane. I politely wait until one opens. I get almost all the way through with my groceries when an employee (middle aged woman probably 40-50 yrs old) comes and asks can I help you? I let her know I had just 7 items left to scan and I would be done quickly. She then tells me Im faster than you, Im doing this and starts scanning my stuff for me (mind you I bagged groceries for 2 years at a different grocery store so its not like Im slow by any means). She then bags all of my stuff as well (not double bagging bags of 2 liters of pop even though I have to walk up flights of stairs, so these will probably rip). She was forceful and not nice at all. I understand the store was closed, and you want to go home, but you could at least not be so mean to the last customer of the night who also wants nothing more than to go home. After its all bagged she walks me out the door, and rudely yells at me since I was going towards one of the doors that was apparently closed for the night, which I didnt notice since Im already flustered by her being so rude thus far. Ive worked in customer service for the last 9 years and I would be embarrassed if I acted this way towards a customer. She ruined my night. I have never had any other bad interactions with any other employee here, and I am still shaken up at how unfriendly she was. I will think twice about coming here late at night again because of this unpleasant experience.
I printed pictures and the way they were cut was ridiculous. Once I got home I looked at the pictures and some have white on them that wasnt cut off, some are cut diagonal, none are the same size, and some have faces out of the picture. A waste of money because none of the pictures are usable. They should offer self serve so I can make sure pictures Im paying for are cut with a little bit of care.
Employees told me I could return a gift card when I bought it because I wasn’t sure my niece would like it. She said she wanted a different one so I went to return it and they said they don’t return gift cards. So the employees obviously have no knowledge of their store policies. Never shopping here again would rather go to Target right across the street.
Hands down the best selection in our local 1 stop big box stores, always a wide variety of produce in the grocery, on trend housewares, fashion forward clothing for men, women, and kids. Reasonable selection of electronics and digital goodies along with access to hunting and fishing licences. From golf to groceries they have you reasonably covered
Not enough check out clerks . 12 people in line in front of me. I have way yo much for self serve and long lines there too. I was hoping Id beat the holiday rush.
Open more lanes! Again it took longer to check out than it did to shop! Extremely slow process. Auburn Hills you need to do better.
Very customer friendly, the Doctor who administered my vaccine took her time & interacted on personal level with my concerns. So i would like to say thank you so much to the pharmacy staff🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Meijer has an awesome chicken salad, not as good as mine but definitely worth buying.
Worst meijer in the area. Bottle return never open, always long lines, they got rid of the Huntington inside.
Dont like this store. Not very clean. Merchandise all over isles. One door locked, I believe that is against the law, only providing one exit for a huge store. WAKE UP PEOPLE, YOU ARE BEING SNOWED BY BIG CORPORATIONS! Hope you enjoy more control over yourself.
Download the Mperks app for extra savings. The Mperks program also helps with returns. No sales slip, no problem. Just put in your phone number assigned to your Mperks card/number and boom... Slip found. So easy to do returns and no stress on what price you paid, its all right there. Great program great store.
Have. A lot of the things. I. Need
Usually have everything I need in stock but the lines getting out are terrible. Don’t go on a weekend.
The worst for employee headcount for cashiers. The store manager is the problem. Should be let go.Always seems the least organized and least understanding of how to maintain crowds of people is put in charge. What a joke. The Meijer family should be Rollin in their graves with how their stores have developed. Worse than Walmart.
What a horrible store with the worst management and Meijer team I have ever come across. The Entire staff is just a big circus act of clowns I was triple charged two weeks ago and everyone with a smile on their face told me it would be fixed immediately and they’ve kept referring me numbers to call everyday and every time I called the number they tell me to call a different number and they never fixed the amount. Most likely I feel like they did fix it but then probably just kept the cash themselves a bunch of crooks no doubt.
I moved to the area from out of state three months ago and I come to this store once or twice a week after work (around 630p). Ive never had a truly good experience. The checkout lines are ALWAYS a minimum of 12 people waiting in front of me. Last time it took 15 mins (no exaggeration, I timed it on my watch) to get to start to checkout my groceries. The only option for self-checkout with the bag-as-you-scan option is for 12 items or less, otherwise you have the conveyor belt self-check, which seems cool at first, but is only efficient if you came with a shopping buddy to bag the groceries while you scan. Otherwise you have to double handle every item to get checked out--waste of time. Ive only ever seen 2 or 3 actual checkers working during the busy times--put more employees on this shift!! This store is always out of produce, meat and dairy--I gave the store the benefit of the doubt thinking I must come right after the dinner rush and before they restock, but no, even at 8p on a Sunday night, produce and shelves are barren. The meat counter is packed up before 7, too, even though the sign posted on the glass says 7p. I cant keep patronizing a store than consistently under delivers.
Lovely place not the most accommodating of all the big brand stores. Not too much to not always be worth the price or wait though. Clean and usually dead as a door nail around an hour before closing.....
Meijer is okay yet my experience there was they didnt have what I was looking for.
It was good. They had what I needed. And it was fast checking out.
Love Meijers for years, stopped going for deals as time waiting in massive long lines every time is not worth it. Customers time is as important as saving money. Older folks that must wait in long lines with disabilities, like myself choose easier, faster stores. Sorry Meijers we tried to tell you this! Your not listening to us that have disabilities.
Way better then going to Walmart
I found that I can get my license tabs there too. No waiting. That was great.
The cashier queue is a pain.... 20 minute wait in line to check out.
Meijer staff at this location are helpful and pleasant
This is probably the best meijer in the state, and I’ve been to a ton of them. I do wish they were more strict about mask wearing right now. Ive been coming here for years though and can always find what I need.
This is hands down the dirtiest grocery store we have been to. We thought it was a fluke but it is the 3rd time with no improvement, the fresh produce had nats and flies amongst them.
I like shopping here. Staff has always been helpful and informative. Never had a bad experience here
Always easy to shop the store. Employees are helpful and the store is always clean and presentable.
This is a busy area and the store closes at 7pm every day. The website says midnight, the other locations close at midnight. You cant even run errands and stop to buy groceries on your way home. I had a $10 coupon that expired yesterday, I stopped for groceries on my way home and couldnt get any cuz the store closed. I had to scramble around and figure out what to feed my family. Im unimpressed with these hours. Restrictions are lifted and this seems lazy to me not to stay open later for a store like Meijers.
The credit card machine froze and the cashier got rude trying to blame me. I will never go there again. Rudest women I have ever dealt with.
Went there to get Kobe shot very pleasant very efficient
Long lines, all employees are not helpful. But they have fresh food and great sales prices.
Great store good customer service 👍🏽
Nothing on the shelves lines are way too big and terrible customer service
Employees are polite and helpful, but the shelves are always bare.
Good selection and layout, however this is the only Meijer in the area that consolidates their checkout line to 1 single file line and an employee will guide you to one of the very limited open checkouts once you get to the front of the line. Horribly inefficient system that results in very long wait times. On top of this, the staff are generally unfriendly to outright rude. I ordered pictures online to be printed, once I got to the photo section there was no one staffing it. I flagged down 3 employees to help and they just said “not my department” and kept walking! I actually had to call the store from my phone to get someone to the desk.
Great selection. Large store. Besides groceries, tgre is a pharmacy, beauty aisles, sports, clothing.
Very clean, well stocked.
Its Meijer, what else do you need to know? they have almost everything at good prices
It has everything a mejier normally has. I do really like the curb size pick up they have.
They almost always have what I need and the store is always clean
I always have a good shopping trip at this Meijer. I enjoy it and can always find help when I need it Excellent service at the salad counter
Friendly Staff. Well stocked.
Got my first vaccination today here it moved swiftly everyone was very perfesinal and friendly
Need more lanes open. The lines at times are ridiculous.
This store is too cheap to hire more employees for the checkout. Im in line at this writing and they only have three registers open. Same thing as last week. They make everyone wait in one long line while we someone directs you to one of the three registers. So 14 registers unused!
Two registers open on a Saturday…. There’s 17 people waiting in line backing up to the pet department. This is crazy.
Su cc k like Walmart
Always clean and stocked
Horrible...out of everything I needed then waited 20 minutes to check out. Everyone was abandoning their carts because they didnt want to wait otherwise I would have waited over 30 minutes to check out.
Went there for a xbox elite controller website said they had it in stock ready for pick up at the store. Pre paid 180$ to pick it up went there to get it after work. Employee in electronics said they havent had that controller since Christmas.
