Historic Highway 40 Auto Care was referred to me by a friend in Auburn, for his Honda Pilot. He has been using this firm, and the work by owner Sam for years.I took my 2006 Honda Ridgeline truck to Sam, for some expensive repairs a Honda dealer recommended. The Honda dealer did not give me very much information regarding how urgent the repairs needed to be taken care of or details of cost, only a lump sum.Sam checked the problem areas out in great detail with me, and the cost was very reasonable compared to the dealer.His quality of work was absolutely top notch, one of the best mechanics I have ever had work done for me in the last 50 years, as an 80 year old senior, who is familiar with cars!Highly recommend Sam!!!

I am pretty picky about my truck, and had an electrical problem another shop in Auburn could not diagnose and fix. Problem was an intermittent electrical drain. I took it to Sam and he was able to figure it out! He also took the time to explain the problem, show me the parts, and also diagnose two other problems that I was aware of already, but unsure how to repair. Turns out one of 2 problems really was ...not...a problem.I like to understand what is wrong before I ok a repair. Sam takes the time to thoroughly analyze then tell you what issues are. I will be back...plenty

My wife had Sam service her 2005 Acura. Sam was nice enough to take it in with no appointment and got it done right away.Sam is the only one I would trust to work on my wifes car other than myself. I had a serious electrical problem that had me pulling my hair out. My GMC truck drivers door electric window AND power door lock quit working simultaneously. After replacing electric door latch and window motor to no avail, I had reached my wits end. After reading some positive reviews about Sam @ HH 40 Auto Care, I dropped the truck off in pieces in Sams care. Within 24 hours, he called to say Come and get your truck! I would trust this guy to work on Air Force 1. Enough said, Sam is THE BEST!
