Ben, the mechanics, and the people at LA Imports are great. Combined they have an amazing amount of knowledge and experience repair all makes and models. I would strongly recommend anyone take their vehicle to LA Imports regardless of make, and if its German built this should be your first stop.A lot of these reviews and general comments surround LA Imports always seem to come back to the owner DJ. I have not had personal interactions with this man by choice, as his notorious reputation seems to follow him in all places he decides to work. This would be my only recommendation to anyone going to LA Imports: talk to Ben, or anyone else that has grease or dirt on their hands; avoid the other guy at all costs.

The summer of 2013, I purchased a black 2004 Volkswagen Golf R32 from L/A Imports for a great price. The car had low mileage and was immaculate. Over the past 2 years I have gone to L/A Imports for all of the cars maintenance needs and performance upgrades. Some of these upgrades include a full VF-Engineering stage 2 supercharger kit that was accompanied by a magna flow cat back exhaust and United Motorsports tune. The car was bullet proof and fast. I then had Ben do a full Precision Turbo setup, this made the car into an absolute monster (550+ HP). Turned out to be a monster that I couldnt handle and decided to have him bring the car back to an all motor, tuned vehicle. Ben does great work over at the shop, rather it be general maintenance on your vehicle or performance upgrades L/A Imports has proven to me that they can get the job done and do the job correctly.

Got a fully loaded 2008 VW Passat wagon from these guys at a great price- over $1,500 less than what some other guy across town wanted for the same model a year older. Closest prices Ive found to what these guys are offering are way down in Mass.These were the only folks who told me about the various features in the car I was test driving other than that it had heated seats! The salesmen at other dealers seemed to act as though as a woman there was nothing other than a butt warmer I would care to know about a car...Plus I got a fantastic 5year/100,000mi warranty on the engine, transmission and water pump. No other dealer I visited was willing to stand behind their used vehicles with that great of an extended warranty & without breaking my bank!(& if I leave their little dealer sticker on I get a $39/hr labor rate locked in, half price oil changes & free state inspection for the life of the car!)I would recommend these guys for sure!!!

Owner is extreamly rude and shadey. Had transmisson installed failed to torque transmission bolts. Caused transmission failure a month after. Wouldnt own up to mistake or go good for anything. DJ was threating about the situation.

I had dj, the owner of this company, work on my cadillac escalade limosuine. I paid over $7000 to fix the rocker panels, paint and random body work, he did the work and returned the truck to us in three weeks. The truck started to rust and the paint started to fall off the truck and crack.Then we had a rain storm the next day, and to my surprise the windows he took out to paint the exterior had all leaked. It ruined the wood bars and ruined the floors and everything will need to be redone. The whole inside and will cost me thousands and thousands to fix. I sent the vehicle back up a second time, he said he would repair the windows. It was returned with the exact same issues. He did not stand by the repairs. I tried to call dj the owner to fix it and he told me that he wouldnt and he would see me in court and that i signed a contract dont use this guy he will just rip you off and he doesnt stand behind his work
