Darren and his team were amazing. I had bottom paint done on a little whaler and a full service on the Mercruiser, coulndnt be more happy. I will definitely use again. Great people.
We will only use Pacific Boat Sales And Restoration for all of our boats, and PWC. They continue to provide exceptional service, with a smile. They even helped identify a problem that could have led to a big headache and a much higher cost down the road. We are so grateful for the quality and timely service they provide!
I can’t recommend this place any less. I took my boat there at the start of summer. He said it would take three weeks, after three weeks I reached out and he had done nothing. He (Darren Largent) the owner, claimed various issues as to why he had not gotten to it. I told him I was going to take my boat elsewhere to have it worked on if he couldn’t get to it, understanding that sometimes things are out of a person’s control. He insisted that he would get to it soon, and I trusted him. He had my boat several months and called to let me know it was finally fixed. I took him at his word, paid my bill, and took it home. He told me he had detailed it for free and took 10% off the bill for the troubles. Now, he’d never given me a price or quote, so I have no idea if I received any savings, but my bill was close to $6000. When I got my boat home I inspected the interior and found it dirty, covered in greasy handprints, found a tool in the bilge left behind, gasket materials laying around, and generally evidence that it was never “detailed”. I also found a crack in my topside fiberglass and paint transfer that appeared to be from someone swinging or dropping a red toolbox on my boat. Even with all that, I was happy to have it fixed, cleaned it up myself and launched it at the lake. It broke within 5 minutes of driving, and it was an issue I’d asked him to fix, and paid for. I asked Darren to send someone to my boat lift to fix it. He said he would, and they showed up to work on it. They said they needed to get a part and would be back the next day. They never returned and when I texted Darren, he had more excuses about parts availability. I asked him to communicate better and he promised a part and repair within three days. It’s been ten days and no word. Don’t go to this guy. When I started having problems with him I talked to someone else who had the similar problems. He over promises and under delivers. I would not let him touch my boat again.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND.My fiancé dropped off his boat mid April. Darren (the owner) said it would be done in 2 months and everything would be perfect. My fiancé called mid June to ask about picking it up. Darren’s response was “it’s just sitting out in the raw, want me to get started on it?” My fiancé responded that he did and gave him another week. He then called again and let him know that he needed really needed it done, he has it bachelor party in a couple weeks. That seemed to really stress Darren out as he was now past his 2 month mark and had not even started.. and now needed to get it done. Darren said that he would have it done in a little over a week, that next Friday. My fiancé calls on that Thursday ready to pick it up the next day. And Darren says it won’t be done until Sunday, so to call at 12:00 Sunday. My fiancé calls Sunday and Darren says there are 3 hours of work left but it won’t be ready until later Monday, but it will be perfect. So he calls Monday and Darren says that it won’t be done until very late so to get it Tuesday. Finally today my fiancé gets his boat back... ONE MONTH LATE. And FAR from perfect.1) He did not install the latches he said he would and did not communicate that.2) He installed carpet which looks terrible around the edges.3) He reinstalled hooks that my fiancé said he didn’t want on their anymore. My fiancé asked about the carpet and Darren’s response was “it is what it is”. He asked about the latches and Darren’s response was that he could bring it back again after his bachelor party. But no way are we doing that because we probably wouldn’t get it back the rest of the summer. After my fiancé picks up the boat and gets it home he realizes Darren didn’t give him the boat cover, so he goes to get it today. He had a nice cover and Darren gives him this terrible cover. My fiancé let him know that it wasn’t his cover and he says “well it’s all we have”.So beyond disappointed, this was the worst experience for so many reasons. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. So unprofessional.
I went to see them about transome concerns. He was honest and said it was fine. Great people!
