I Love going here. Everyone is helpful. They have a great selection. I havent ever hone in and not found something I want to read. AND THE PRICES ARE GREAT.

Ive been respectfully supporting and buying books from this book store for over 3yrs. I will never come back after being discriminated, humiliated, and even shamed for not being vaccinated. Even after i voiced that I am not vaccinated because of a medical exemption. I tried to give the cashier the benefit of a doubt and was very polite. The cashier than told me that shaming me publicly is what she believes in. I feel very discriminated against, it was inappropriate for her to force her beliefs on me. Very disappointed and will be avoiding this store for as long as i live. 😁🙌

Never open. Really disappointing. Been trying to go here for months and never had a chance due to them always be in there but never unlocking the doors.

You would think that people who donate their time for animals would be sweet. Unfortunately Cathy and Dennis act like rude idiots.

They have an enormous amount of books for excellent prices. And you are supporting an animal charity.

Just discovered this on a recent day trip to Auburn and will definitely be back whenever Im in the area. All the books I got were only $1 each and they are organized by genre and authors name, so you can even find specific titles.

Love this place! Books for just $1! Most of the books are in great condition too. They have a great variety and the staff is very friendly. I love getting recommendations from them and checking out new authors. You will not be disappointed!

There is an incredible and varied selection of books. People donate wonderful books, which HSSF sells for $1 each (with a few exceptions for collectibles and sets). I always find something great when I go here. My wife and I also donate all of our surplus and no-longer needed books here because all sales benefit the local Humane Society.

Where else can you get a book paperback for $1 of your favorite authors and be contributing to a good cause. Good selection at this location and very friendly and helpful people.

Couldnt loan out tap and release cages wouldnt take a homeless cat in. Animal control r a useless (job?) They made me angery. Didnt want to help with a nuisance cat either. Why r they there? Placer Co. Has no resources at all. Sac co. And Nevada Co. Is way better

This bookstore has an amazing selection of books (.50+), dvds ($3+), vhs (3 for $1), puzzles (.25+), audio books ($3+), greeting cards (.10+), well priced and amazing coffee table books, and More! Cant beat their prices! Very clean and extremely well organized, not to mention the friendly staff. Open seven days a week 10-6! Best of all, proceeds go the helping animals! Completely run by volunteers!

I love this thrift store! The ladies who volunteer there are very friendly. I try to donate there whenever i can because its for such a good cause!

I do love this store however they are closed on Sundays and Mondays the website showing 10 to 6
