I have been shopping at The Bear Necessities for several years and the atmosphere is very friendly and courteous. With the exceptional hospitality and the great items they have at the shop makes it a Must see! I would give them 100 stars if I could. Love it there!

I have been shopping there for a very long time and their customer service is like no other. They value their customers and take pride in what they sell. You will not find cheap products here, all quality products!!I do have to comment about someone saying they leave their trash around or being an eyesore as I used to live in that neighborhood and everytime i drive by I think how their store actually makes the neighborhood look so much nicer and welcoming with beautiful primitives and soft lights.Tammy & Gerry are wonderful caring people and their focus is to offer their customers the best products!!Unfortunately some people are just miserable so they create misery for others, these complainers should really take a look at their own yards because it could use cleaning up...The Bear Necessities makes your neighborhood look good!!

The owners have always gone above and beyond. Its definitely evident that they love what they do!!!! Please dont...I repeat dont buy into the FALSE report of items coming from anywhere other than the USA! I spend ALOT of time in that store and will absolutely say all the items I have purchased are local. That is the reason I shop there!! Plus, Gerry and Tammy Charette are the most generous people you will ever meet. They work hard on their business and dont deserve untrue statements from hateful people with nothing better to do.

I admit, my review is biased. Tammy and I were neighbors growing up, and we were even roomies for a while. Her family is like an extended family to me, and she has always treated me like another sister. Owning and operating this store has been Tammys dream for decades. She and her husband rennovated two ramshackled houses in that neighborhood, and made them beautiful. Our families lived right next door to one another for over 30 years. I know how Tammy is as a neighbor. I look up the hill from Center Street and see the first two buildings on Vernon St. are very beautiful, and have given that neighborhood a facelift, as far as Im concerned. If anyone has a problem with the store, they should just talk to Tammy and Gerry directly. They are good, responsible people and business owners. I know Tammy and Gerry would work with anyone to solve a problem.
