I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service exhibited by all three people I interacted with. Unfortunately, I only caught the name of one--Jeff. My appointment was on time, and the whole process went smoothly and quickly. I will happily return.
Staff is unprofessional in appearance and service. My daughter was seen more than 30 minutes after her scheduled exam time. They were at times combative, and were disrespectful and condescending to elderly customers/patients visiting while we were there. Exams offered are not in person or comprehensive. Never saw a licensed professional. The building is unkempt. Lighting in showroom is terrible. It is questionable whether the people working in the place understand HIPAA regulations.
We love to get glasses from here. But not when one of the ladies is working. I think her name is Lisa. She has given me attitude twice so far. Also for some reason the phone doesnt always call mine. So things get messed up on the other end. But other then that my family and I like it here.
My appointment was at 11:40. I didnt wait Liong to see the doctor however, it is now going on 1:00 and have yet to see anyone about getting my glasses and contacts. There is one person doing that and this place is full with customers waiting! Ridiculous! I will pay more to go to a private doctor!!! Terrible service!!!!!!
One lady is miserable. I was not called that my glasses were ready, and the man that fitted my frame rightly asked me to pull up my mask, but his was doing no good over a giant beard. But the glasses are good
From the first phone call to the last visit, this Auburn crew was terrific! Very professional, charming and most helpful. The newest equipment and huge up to date selection of frames and lenses choices. Cleaning was perfect and timely for everything touched by human hands and clothing. Thanks to the folks at this store in these trying COVID times for having such a positive attitude.
The staff overall is friendly. The product is poor quality. They are way overboard with the Covid stuff. Would not highly recommend, wish I had used a private business over a chain. You get what you pay for......
I couldnt break the code of the automated answering system! Couldnt get to a human on the phone! So Ill be making an appointment elsewhere.
I have been trying for well over a week to get anyone to answer a phone in Auburn. I had a fun time getting my glasses, the staff was great. Dropped them off for repairing 3 weeks ago, no problem. But now the phones are not answered.
The customer service here is amazing. The entire staff makes everything about the experience as easy and comfortable as possible. The lab tech Yvonne was so sweet and cheery. Then I got my new glasses through Chris, who explained the one year warranty on my current pair had one day left to use. He swapped my broken pair out with a new pair and ordered new lenses for me and I didnt even have to ask.
Not GOOD AT ALL THEY MESS UP YOUR LENSES ON PURPOSE THEY ARENT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL... THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN THEY SHOULDNT BE ACTING LIKE THEY HELPING WHEN THEY MAKE IT WORST...THEY WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE WITH IN THE LAW OR NOT.

Unprofessional employees not helpful at all.No one answered phone when called over a 2 day period of trying to get ahold of them.Door was locked had to wait with handicapped wife to get inside. The person who let us in was a elderly customer not even a employee.No covid sceening done by anyone. Once we got inside no one tried to assist us for 10 minutes so I decided for safety and health reasons I decided to go to a place where the employees are courteous and professional.This is my last visit to Visionwork in Auburn after 20 years of doing business with them.Now the canned reply to review just to prove my point!!Please get a time machine and go back 5 years to see how to properly treat your customers.
I got my glasses a week ago and I love them but a few hours after I got them a lens fall out and I was able to put it back in. This happen a few more times thru out the week and while I was out the lens fall out again. I went to Visionworks and had to make a appointment to have them fixed. I cant get in until Monday. Mine you I cant drive without my glasses or work. Good thing 3 had a back up pair. They wouldnt even look at them
The only place that takes medicaid, and they take advantage of that to the point where I might pay cash, while on a fixed income, just to be treated like a human
I had my eyes examined at an eye specialist and dropped off my prescription to be filled several weeks ago. I have not been able to schedule an appointment to pick up my glasses. The online process does NOT work! The company site does not make an appointment, much less confirm any communication on what you have attempted to make. Phone calls to the store in Auburn, NY NEVER get picked up. (On hold for over 2 hours! I finally had to hang up as my phone battery had died. ) I contacted the corporate 1-800 number and still no one answered there either. No response from attempts to chat online. I personally drove out to the Auburn NY store and was totally ignored by staff and no one would provide any assistance whatsoever. I left in total disgust. This is appalling and shows a total lack of professionalism. I am being generous by giving a one star review and wish I could post zero star. I really would like to personally speak to people in charge of this establishment.

Absolutely the worst experience Ive had with an eyeglass place. Unfortunately, my insurance is Davis, and they own this establishment, so Im basically stuck with them. The receptionist was extremely rude, not only to me but others as well. My glasses broke after just a couple months of normal use. They ordered replacements, and waited over a week before notifying me they were in. The staff is not knowledgeable about eyewear at all. I do not recommend this place at all.
Appt at 520 pm made on line. Waited until 6. Watched people walk in that were served before me was just picking up glasses
The staff here are wonderful. I’d give it a five if could actually get someone on the phone versus going in circles.
Been trying to call for two weeks now and they still don’t answer the phones anytime of day!! Then the automated system just hangs up on you after being on hold for a couple minutes to supposedly talk to someone... smh..
Awesome experience. Doctor was very professional and took the time to make me feel comfortable and understand all of my results. The first nurse who did my initial test was very patient and kind. Bri fitted me for my colored contacts and was so sweet and patient. She made me feel like I was the only customer she’d had all day. She let me try on several shades of contacts, and even when I struggled inserting them, she was so supportive. I would recommend this location to anyone with vision needs.

Almost broke my glasses again leaving the location because of the doors you walk out of.++++++Update called today to see if they could do something about the lenses I have in in my current frames, long story short, they continue to go above and beyond. Wonderful place to shop, I highly recommend!
I went to Visionworks just to browse frames, I didnt even buy anything but the manager there (Ashley maybe?) treated me like an old friend and was extremely helpful. Customer service is everything to me, Ill be back for sure and Ill make sure my friends know about my expirence too!

Its been a few days and they still dont answer the phone I went on the website and they emailed the storelast week still no phone call this is ridiculous its a good thing I dont have an eye emergency I even tried pressing 1 for eye emergency they still dont answer very frustrated
First visit for my eye appt they were very nice. Told me my vision insurance wouldnt cover contacts but if I paid now my insurance would reimburse me. I found out from a coworker who used a different empire vision that wasnt true. After a couple phone calls and a 40min wait at their office when they figured it out it was settled and fixed. They told me I could come in January for glasses and insurance would cover...I get there today and they said no but my dental insurance can reimburse me. Then I was told they wiukd he ready by three today and I would get a text. Had plans but waited so I would pick them up...never got a text and tried calling but theyre closed now. So I waited and post poned plans for nothing. Staff is very nice but jot sure how I feel

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The Optometrist helps you to relax and is very funny and fun to be with. Glasses ready in 1 hour. Service here is A+++++

I had an exam with the teledoc and it was so cool. The tech in person and the remote tech were friendly and knowledgeable and were able to answer a ton of questions before I even talked to the remote doctor, who was also very friendly and so helpful.
I’ve been a patient here for a long time but the customer service has gone down greatly in the past couple years. The past two days i’ve been trying to call this particular store and they kept transferring me to the vision works help line. I would just like to talk to a representative at this store!

Scheduled appontment online with specific optometrist in advance - I wont name him here - only to get there to find out he is at the State Fair and personnel or maybe cyberpersonnel (I was told) took it upon themselves to schedule a tele-exam for me! Sweet deal! Now thats personal service!

Excellent service! I walked in at 5pm just to buy frames so that I wouldnt lose my FSA money but I needed a new prescription in order to use my benny card so the doctor took me right in as a walk in after her last client of the night to give me an eye exam. I was in and out!! All of the staff there were very nice, easy to talk to and gave me my space while choosing glasses. They were all very helpful and caring too! I absolutely love this place!

The eye doctor yesterday 3/8/19 was very nice I had no problem with him,today3/9/19 I went in to pick up my glasses that I paid cash for and could not see anything,I know it would be a little weird but I could not see anything at all everything was all blurry it was horrible, the manager his name was Christopher verdehem was very rude my insurance covers my first pair but I paid cash for my second and when I told him I couldnt see anything at all he kept trying to make me take these glasses I told him no its pointless to take glasses that you cannot see out of,I took out my receipt and asked for my money back he was trying everything to not give me a refund I paid cash and wanted cash back he refused told me I was going to have to wait a week for a check to be mailed to me I told him absolutely not I payed cash yesterday I wanted cash back not a check he was very rude to me and told me that I couldnt comprehend what he was saying,which then in turn angered me because he called me stupid pretty much, then proceeded to tell me there was no way I was getting my cash back that I would definitely have to wait,so I asked if there was someone else I could talk to he told me no that HE was the manager and no one above him, so I asked for corporate number I asked him his name and he said would you like me to spell that out for you,again saying Im stupid,his attitude was horrible and the lady before me by the way was waiting 45min to get her glasses as well as myself, he was horribly rude to her as well,I tried to call corporate while I was there and it was closed,I asked him again about my cash refund he told me no your gonna wait till I decide to send you a check,,this man should never work around people his attitude is ridiculous and I will never go back there again,neither will my husband who pays over 400.00dollars for his glasses or family and friends,so Im calling corporate on Monday and I want my money, so be aware before you go here!!
Worst place I have ever seen for customer service. Order 2 pair glasses and both pair come in with wrong lenses. Send both paif back for correct lenses and only get one pair back . Now apparently two weeks before their screw up will be fixed and I get what I paid for
I booked my appointment over the phone with one of the girls who worked in customer service. I told her the times we had to work with and the only availability was a month out. I showed up to my appointment only to find out that it had been changed to 15 mins earlier and was told that I would have to make another appointment. I told the girl that it took a month to get this appointment and dont know why I was not contacted about the change. This is in fact the second year in a row this has happened and all she could say was she was sorry and could book me for another appointment a month out.

I ordered glass 3 weeks ago and was told that they would be back in 7 -10 days. After 3 weeks I called to find out what was the hold up.. and was told they had texted me and had to see if the glasses were still there. The problem with texting is that my number is to a land line phone and there is no texting. If I hadnt followed up they never would have contacted me. Their comment was everyone texts now and I should let them know that I dont. Perhaps THEY should follow up!
