I like that I can look through red box movies, buy scratch tickets and grab everything I need for groceries. Ive also used the coin star machine. Never had an issue shopping here. Its better to shop a couple hours before the store closes. Its less busy for those who prefer avoiding the busy hours.

1st time there 11-6-21 for Lunch: my experience with Asian cuisine is limited to the inexpensive (Auburn) Lotus and family prepared Thai Spring Roll, Pad Thai (Portland) variety & Anthony Bordais critic type I am not, but I do know what I like and am very interested in cuisines from other cultures, so I walk in with an open mind. Here we have a $-$$ priced, fairly extensive menu of raw and cooked Asian items, that are simply & attractively plated i.e. a fresh lemon quarter & finely sliced fresh carrots nest garnish. Good sized portion of Pad Thai, custom spiced mild to hot. Tokyo Roll - delicate, delicious. Miso soup - 1st time for me & a very nice surprise, very delicate & delicious with a mild taste of the sea - definitely a needed something to consume when one is under the weather. Green tea --> $20 w/ 20% tip included. All was excellent. Can not wait to return to explore the menu some more! With the holiday season approaching quickly this establishment should be considered a top option when the other is a drive to Portland - already a madhouse.

I go here for all my prescription needs I also do all my groceries here before going other places cause they always have great deals on a variety of items and the employees there are always very knowledgeable when I have question about a sale or where I can find something there is usually always a few people shopping besides myself when I go but the lines are never that long and they always abide by CD guidelines its a great place to shop while you wait 15minutes most times for a prescription to be filled

Stopped in to pick up a few things and the store was fully stocked in all areas. Well maintained. Neat and orderly. I needed help with finding one item (ice) and the cashier was happy to get it for me and place it in my cart. Their prices are competitively better than other supermarkets. Honestly, I cant say enough good things about this location.

I absolutely love my local Hannaford! Tonight it was absolutely packed but somehow the wait for registers wasnt even two minutes. The shelves were pretty picked through but overall I found what I was looking for. Staff is always enjoyable and courteous. Id give them 5 stars, but there were people with no mask/ chin diaper maneuver maskers and being pregnant Im unable to condone that.

The best place you can go to. Unlike Shaws, when something is incorrectly priced, no one argues with you. They either give it for the price marked. Or recently, free. Outstanding for service. Professional pharmacy, another thing is that I got a bag of nectarines that went bad in a few days, I simply told the lady, she gave me a free bag of nectarines. Thats what I want in a supermarket. They back up every item in that store like no one else does. After shopping shaws 42 years, I switched to hannaford. Some of their store brands are BETTER than national brands. Try their red hot dogs. No one at all makes them better. Their beer pizza dough is so good, unmatched by portland pies. Thats just a couple things. Really, try their brand. You got nothing to lose. If u dont like it, double your money back, no questions. Oh their auto dish powder is the best I ever tried. I bought it with the intention of getting double my money back, I dont like powder, until I tried theirs. You really should always just try their stuff. I once didnt like their instant coffee and got double my money back. They really do.

Years ago Hannaford offered excellent products. Then they sold the company to Delhaize and it is absolutely going down the tubes. Produce is often spoiling on the shelves, literally soft, limp and mushy is what you get now. They eliminated many products from the Taste of Inspiration line. Eliminated the black angus meats. Anything that has an expiration date, CHECK IT!! Many times Ive found outdated products still on the shelves. And there seafood department always reeks of foul smelling fish. This has been going on prior to covid. Its very disappointing because it was my favorite place to shop for many many years. Wish the old Hannaford Brothers still ran the company

This place could rate a 5 if they were more careful of theyre political opinions and theyre help at times seem to be quite snobby. One if theyre cashiers actually threw my change at Me when I used cash. I think her name was Cindy but im not positive. Ive cooled off since this happened but it did very much affect my ratingNice clean store and usually polite people but I overheard a couple people bashing the president of the united states the day I had the change experience. I go there now only, when I have to. I hope they improve they used to be a 5 before the last couple of incidents

This was horrible their new ecart are too small and embarrassed my wife by screaming and getting everyones attention the employees laughed and the customers were giggling thinking it was all funny. This store is not made for bigger people. Hannaford has tried to push all overweight people out of their stores to use systems like their order from home and pick up curbside.

I like the store, their fruits, vegetables, nuts and the few grains they stock. Most of their staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. Ive only had one very disturbing experience. They were carrying some tiny-looking oranges that I wanted to try for the first time. I picked the smallest and brought it to the associate, asked if I could taste it while in the store before I bought more. I was happy to pay for the one I was about to too. To my shock and horror, the associate took the orange from me, started peeling it with his unwashed hands, walked to the back of the store with the orange and brought it back on a paper towel for me to try. All while Corona is on the prowl. Obviously, I declined and made a mental note never to consult with him again. Who in their right mind does something like that? Except for this experience, I would give five-star rating!

I have shopping hear for 11 years and I have hever been insulted or embarrassed by the staff till now. It was the end of the night and not a lot of people in the stor. I was making my way to the checkout and to avoid patrons going the wrong way i tried to slip under the rope so as to maintain social distancing. Noone was in line so I was not cuting in front of anyone.So some fat bagger from the front of the stor came at me and started screaming at me about touching the rope. At this point my cart was on the checkout side of the rope and i was about to duck under to get in line. This guy yelled at me and told me to go around but to leave the cart there as to not tuch the rope again. He caused such a seen the staff and patrens where all staring 😳. I am mortified and I have never been treated so poorly by a grocery bagger.

Its good can become crowded at times though.

Always well stocked especially for being one of there busiest locations. They have all the great selections that youve come to expect from Hannaford. The saver program they have helps a lot. I dont drink but for all you elkies out there; they have a pretty large selection of booze. They keep the carts clear and overall keep the store as clean as they can.

I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the Hannaford on Spring St. in Auburn. I had to go pick up a prescription yesterday and was appalled at how many customers were walking around mask-free. There is no one sanitizing carts anymore. Although there was spray outside of the door, there were no paper towels. I am one step away from leaving Hannaford not only for my food, but my prescriptions as well. I will wait and see if new enforcement measures take place with the governors executive order on masks. If not, I will need to go elsewhere for food and prescriptions, neither of which do I want to do. For those of you not wearing masks, many of us are compromised and we need YOUR help to stay safe.

People here are always polite and friendly. Selection is great, and you know they play all the tunes that get the feels going. Night mgr (Kevin?) is also very helpful and goes above and beyond.

The place I consistently choose over Walmart. They have better quality produce/fresh fruits and veggies/etc. There arent any gimmicky coupons, that can be used on one date, lower the price immensely, and wait for the next deal. They have reasonable prices and one of the only food stores I have found that has quality store-brand products.

I do enjoy all Hannaford stores, top-secret, hush-hush, hidden ambiance generator. There is always an unexplainable, good feeling, vibe in their stores. The employees seem as if theyve all been born and raised in Hannaford stores. Regardless of the one, one square inch space a product is monopolizing, every employee is able to direct you to said product: immediately, without flinching.

Pros:Great selection of quality food and lots of options. Customer service is on par. Self service lanes are quick and easy. Pharmacy is convenient. Loss-Leaders and sale items are always in stock.Cons:A bit pricey to get all my groceries here. I tend to get my basics at a less expensive store and grab my odds and ends here. Parking is tight.

Good clean store

I understand we are in a pandemic, its just a shame how hanaford is dealing with it. I went in grabbed at least $50 worth of stuff, saw no one in line and then an employee told me not to cut the line cause i didnt enter the in the way she wanted. I had to go to the corner of the store in order walk down the line and at that point a bunch of people showed up. And delayed my exit when i should of only waited behind 1 person. Needless to say i went and put each item i had picked up and went to Shaws because ive never experience anything like that there. Its a shame because i love 2 specific brands of salt and spices hanaford has. Adults are not children needing to be corralled, we will social distance ourselves on our own. Your store is not a daycare. We will wear masks and keep 6 feet apart like we are told, we dont need a place to tell us where to walk and how to get in line.

This is a silly thing to comment on in a review, but... I love the music! Seriously, they always have such fun jams playing as you walk down the isles searching for the groceries on your list. If youre not from the area, the grocery layout takes some getting used to, but they have a great variety of food options from budget-friendly options to high quality organics.

I wish there was a bit more breadth of availability of items. I couldnt find three items that I need for new recipes and will have to go to a specialty shop or online to purchase them; Id obviously prefer to purchase locally but thats not always a possibility.

I was in a 14 item or less line, and was maybe 2nd or 3rd next, I only had one item and someone from customer service came over to me and said I could go to them instead of waiting. I like that they look out and try to make it pleasurable and hassle free.

Auburn Hannaford is run much like a family store whereas you have a solid group of folks willing to do whatever they can to help you either find EXACTLY what you need or help you find a suitable replacement.

Good place to shop for food

This is my favorite grocery store, lots of varieties and staff are very friendly.

Hannaford as a general company is great I love everything they carry, the store in Lewiston is a prime example of the family friendly being done right. The Auburn branch is the polar opposite. From shelves left completely barren for weeks on end, to products overstocked to cover for others that just havent been stocked. The only thing I dont have a complaint about are the staff in the front who are considerate and caring. But when a store as a whole has a lack of care when it comes to their outward appearance, I lose respect for the store, and so it seems many others have as well. I hope to see changes in how the store operates with the coming of spring, because if not, itll be a blemish on the company as a whole.

I greatly enjoy this grocery store. I am a current employee of the store, and i wouldnt recommend any other store, unless we dont have a specific product a customer is looking for. We now have a reward program for people to join and receive 2% cash back on any Hannaford or other store brand. There is now the official Hannaford app where you can sign up.

I go to hanaford to use the pharmacy the staff is fantastic they answer all my questions questions and theyre kind and patient.

Staff is usually nice. Occasional grump behind a register. Prices are decent. Meat prices are usually low, and I often find manager discount.Not the best shopping experience at this location but worth it if youre shopping on a budget.Products are fresh and always within expiration date.
