One word to describe this company is dishonest. I purchased a home that was on their lot to be speed up the process so I can get my mom that had health issues a place to live on my property. I was promised by Nathan that it would be finished 6-8 weeks from when it was delivered. After 8 months I had to fire him because they were only showing once every 2 weeks even though they demanded all there money. If you want to be part of my nightmare keep reading.After the modular was delivered it took them 3 1/2 weeks to come back and have it slide together. Then they kept coming out only on Friday and the weekend if I was lucky to work on it. After talking to him (more like pleading with him) to please get it done he used the excuse power isnt done. well Unfortunately due to the location of the house on my property PG@E said it would take them 8-10 months to get me power and I made sure Nathan new it ahead of time. I put a generator on the house so everything could run as soon as he was finished. After going back and forth they finally got the inside portions put together with sheetrock so I could put the floors in. Thats when it started getting worse. Some one used a saw and cut up my new floors and damaged the ducting under the modular, used yellow wood putty on our brown cabinets that per the factory wont ever fully be removed unless we sand it all the way out and re stain them, used and toilet and left a present in there for weeks (that we didnt know till the odor got so bad), didnt run the drier line per code, made the stairs 3 inches out of level, and didnt tighten the kitchen drain correctly so it leaked and damaged the cabinets. some of this was found after I fired them and eventually moved my mom in.All of this was bad enough but when he called my wife yelling at her telling her we need to release all the money in escrow even though the job was not done thats when I had enough and fired him. After talking to a few people about our issues with this company most people said the same thing. Which is sad because most of the reviews on here are good.

We have worked with Mountain Valley Homes since the Summer of 2016. During this time, we have found the contractor (Nathan) and office manager (Debi) to be very fair and honest in their dealings with us. While it took about a year to complete the project, we are happy with the finished home and with the attention to detail. The house is esthetically placed on the property, allowing us a wonderful view of the creek.While my earlier review (now deleted) expressed frustration with delays in completing the project, I have come to realize that the long-lasting inclement weather and shortage of subcontractors had a significant affect upon overall progress. In effect, 2016 was extremely wet, causing delays in planning and in completion of deadlines, thereby increasing frustration for everyone involved.In retrospect, I would definitely recommend Mountain Valley Homes if you are interested in a manufactured home. We originally sought them out, based upon positive recommendation of several other providers in the area. Be patient, as the process takes awhile. When you follow up upon details of your project, Debi will do a nice job of being sure that your concerns are acted upon and relayed to other professionals involved in your project.
