For all the years this was a First Source store, a homeowner could walk in with a model number and get the needed part on the retail side of the counter quickly and be on your way. It was awesome because you could get what you needed LOCALLY and be in and out. That all has gone downhill because now a retail customer has to deal with DALLAS and cannot get what they need while on-site AND must pay shipping for the pleasure of having to wait. The exterior doors are locked so they can hide from the public and not have to face the people who supported the previous business KNOWING the public will not accept the step backwards in customer service by locking us out. I despise the revamped way that business is being done presently because we have known better. What a slap in the face to loyal past retail customers who are now shut out.
This place is excellent. If they say they have a part in stock then its always in stock like they say and the curbside service is awesome. Andy, Edwin and Eli arer top notch.
I placed an order through the phone and was quoted one amount. Then they called me to pick up the order and I checked my card, they charged me more than quoted. I refused to pick up the part, demanded the refund. They refunded first amount (that they quoted), stealing the difference. I called, and demanded refund. They promised, but 2 weeks already passed. They are crooks who hope that you dont check your card statement, and hope that by the time you do, the part is already in your appliance, no return possible and that you just simply go away, leaving them with the loot. Crooks!!! (and this is not an accidental overlook, I called 3 times and all 3 times they promised the full refund).
Called and got a recording. They say they are permanently closed to the public and you can order through their national call center. I’ll just go elsewhere.
Sadly they are no longer open to the public. Taking my business elsewhere.
The guys were super friendly and helpful. They had the parts I needed and I was on my way. I will go back again!
Thank goodness they had the part needed to fix the dryer that is currently in pieces all over the floor of my kitchen. However, what sort of business does not accept cash or any other form of payment except credit cards? How backwards.
Customer service is OK. Every time I call the store there is a long wait of course. The most annoying part is they don’t have any parts available to pick up at the store. Clutch, fuse, thermal couple, simple belt for the dryer, any any basic parts you use for appliance repair daily, they don’t have it in the store. I have appliance repair business And I don’t see the reason to have a physical address and she store when you don’t have parts available???Just changed my review from 1 star to 5. Marcone bought this place which was a mess. Done business with Marcone in the past and I am very glad they are in Austin now.
Had the part in stock for a very competitive price. The sales associate on the phone was pleasant and informative. The guy working the parts counter at the store were very helpful and courteous. This will be my parts store.
It takes a long time to get someone on the line then they put you on hold just so they can end the call. Well i ordered a water valve for my frigidaire refrigerator. That was on 6-18-2019, now it is 7-8-2019 and it still has not came in.this is my last time dealing with them, next order will be repair clinic.
I am with ABA Appliance and Services we order daily on parts and they are always very helpful and available. They are great! I would recommend anyone in the Austin area looking for parts to give them a call.
This company is a total rip off! I would recommend doing your research first. More later...Im not finished with them until all charges are reversed. You can bet that. More Later....
Love this place. So amazing and good prices. Great staff. Edwin in the man.
Got what I needed for $19, but the same part from Sears is $7. And on top of that they charge an automatic $2.89 warranty. So I basically paid three times the normal cost so I wouldnt have to wait for the part to come in. Seems a little high to me. But other than that, experience was great.
Came here to get a common part for my washer and I had to leave paying double what I could have gotten online. You may be wondering why their prices in-store are listed higher than what they offer on their own website, but I think Ive come to understand their process. Online they list the part at a lower price (yet still higher than what you can find on other outlets), but once you checkout, with the price of their cheapest shipping option, what you paid in-store starts to finally look closer to what you wouldve paid online minus the shipping. Then of course there is that mandatory in-store warranty fee of roughly 10% added to your purchase. That 10% gives the opportunity of swapping that part out one time if it fails on you, it just kind of stinks that they dont tell you at the moment of purchase nor can you opt out of it... I wouldnt necessarily recommend this place, but if youre in a bind and really need the part to fix your appliance, this may be one of your few options locally.
After reading the reviews below I decided to give this company the benefit and go buy a part, since most of the reviews were good. To all the reviews that were not good, I dont know if you were having a bad day or maybe you were not comparing apple with apples but this company is awesome. Yes, I agree they are a little higher on the price if you compare apples to apples. If you get a generic part or a part off eBay that is not a comparison. To the review that said you can not deny the Life Time Replacement you are wrong, I asked them and they said sure but they explained that I would only have the Manufacture Warranty and if it failed our of Warranty I would pay full price for it. Why would you not get the Life Time, it is well worth never having to pay full price for that part again. Everyone has bad days, some of you either had one or your just very hard to get a long with and caused an issue. The employees at this store are incredibly nice, take care of you as fast as they can and get you the right part the first time. Thank you 1st Source Austin for your help!
This place is a pro. I came in for the waterline replacement for my Kenmore elite refrigerator waterline and it cost ($17.xx) 3.5 times more than amazon but they warranty the part lifetime.I was in and out less than 5min. Thx for being a pro and nice.
Very friendly and fast service. Great quality products and reasonable pricing. Definitely recommend this place.
I purchased some parts for my lg washer and it was wrong. I called the same company and they sent completely different parts. So when I ordered a part from 1st source I knew there was some sort of issue. They sent the wrong seal also but when I went in they worked with me and found that the listing was wrong and they went in the back to get the correct part. So much better than buying from an online retailer.
I have dealt with 1st Source many times over the years. Never any problem at all. They have honored their warranty on more than one occasion and always very helpful.
I have used this company in the past so, when my heating element went out on my dryer I returned. They checked the sensors and element I brought in and only one of the sensors was no good. I replaced both sensors even though I thought $50.00 was a little excessive. The sensors worked great but the Heating element burned out immediately. This time I did some research on pricing before returning to 1st source. I was told the part would be $57.90 + tax = $62.68. I told them no thank you and purchased the element online for $31.43 with 2 day shipping. I can see a convenience fee but doubling the price is ridiculous. I apologize to all of the people I have referred to this business over the years.
Best place to get appliance parts, from knobs to boards and more. Great service too these guys know their stuff
Had exactly what I was looking for. The only thing to keep in mind is that Google maps directions take you to the back of the building instead of the front. They have a very small sign on the front and are directly across the street from Culvers.
If I could give 0 stars I would but it makes me select one to write a review. These guys are criminals I paid double for an evaporator fan I cant return. They wanted to charge me $83 for a $21 part. I couldnt wait to write this review fast enough. Better off calling someone who knows and ordering online. Youd be safer. Aweful experience.
These guys are awesome. Needed a clamp for my fridge. One of those obscure parts that wouldnt be sold and the guy at the counter gets this small cardboard box from underneath the counter and finds what I need in under 10 seconds. He gave it to me for free and sent me on my way. If you need anything appliance related, look to these guys in Austin, TX.
The guys are great....very helpful...treat women well. Always helpful!!
This place is a rip off. You may end up paying as much as 4 or 5 times than elsewhere. This is based on a personal experience buying a start and a light switch for a simple GE dryer. Plus the people here are so arrogant and non friendly. I’d avoid this place.
Representative was very friendly and more than willing to help us find a part.
Overall wait time is long and way over priced. I was able to obtain the same part from Sears for $108 cheaper.....
Reasonably priced parts. Sales staff knowledgeable about parts.
Ive bought parts there on several occasions. Theyre pretty helpful and polite.
These guys were awsome. Knowing they were not going to sell me anything they took the time to eplain the problem I was having with my refrigerator. 5 star service!
Ive been coming here since early 90s .... the only place for appliance (o e m) parts... and if they dont have it they will do there best to help you find who does...
Last night I found the part I needed in stock through 1st Source Servall Appliance Parts website for a price of $49.99. When I arrived at the store to pick up the part, they charged $79.99 for the same part when picked up in person. I was told I could go online to order the part for the cheaper price, but that they would not sell it to me in their store for the advertised price. Very bad service.
Love that place they have just about any part for ur appliances
Great guys. Bring a f***ing part or model number.
Very fast and friendly service. Parts have a lifetime warranty.
While you can usually find things cheaper online, if you need it now, these folks were friendly, helpful and the price was fair.
Good service; I got what ineeded and got out quickly.
They always have the parts, but are expensive. Watch out for the lifetime warranty charge automatically added.
Poor POS personelle, poor attitudes, poor management! Been a customer for years, never again!
I needed a washer lid switch, go in, show the guy, he comes back w/part, lays it down then walks away and proceeded to talk w/ other employee a few feet away ( about me or previous customer, I couldnt hear) maybe its just me, but Im tired of being disrespected by customer service people. Plus, the part was 4 times higher than on line.
Helpful staff, good selection of both retail and service parts, tools, etc.
They are always been helpful and informative. They still can complete with the internet.
I bought a thermal fuse at this store for 29.87 dollars. The same part with exactly the same model was advertised for 17.15. I asked why I have to pay 10 dollars more. He just shrugged his shoulder: it was online price only. Wow. This is an intentionally misleading advertisement.
Accurate, quick, prices, good customer service.
Person who answered was pleasant. While he did not have the part I was looking for he referred me to another place.
Bad service!! And a cashier speak spanish and he did not want speak with me..
The guys there went above and beyond to help me in my quest! Even searched for my account number with limited information!
My first time to go to this place and found it a very helpful place to buy parts for most anything first they tested the parts I thought were bad they were all good I only had to buy a part I broke I highly recommend this place to buy parts
I have been dealing with them for the past 7 years, unfortunately the customer service has steadily deteriorated to the point where it is essentially non existent. You have to pay full retail for the parts plus a mandatory 10% warranty fee. Every time that I go in, there is a different person working the counter. Save yourself the hassle and order online.
They are very friendly and very good people
Seems like a longish wait every time here, and the prices are 2x - 3x what you can get on Amazon.
Great service and a warm welcome.
Water filter bypass is twice as much as anywhere else. WAY OVER PRICED!!!!!!
Always good service, fair and honest!!
Very good service 👍
Had the part I needed. Short wait in Retail line.
Great place for appliance parts
Unlimited warranty on parts.
40 minutes and still no answer!
Had the part I needed. Called ahead, paid over the phone... Came in and picked it up... Couldnt be easier!
Good guys.
Extremely rude, and more expensive than the the dealer more than twice the price!!!!
Great service but a little expensive!
Parts. Coffee. Yup
Friendly staff and lots of parts in stock
The team at Austin is awesome!!!!
Do some research on pricing before buying parts from them, they are over priced and forced a 10% lifetime warranty ( 1 replacement only ). I just got ripped off, once you used the item, you CANNOT return it no matter what.
Its whatever
