I have had the pleasure of enjoying Dai Due’s Texas inspired creations well over a dozen times. My favorite brunch/lunch spot, absolute home run sandwiches every time.Dai Due doesn’t shy away from the less used ingredients making sure every part of the animal or vegetable is used to its fullest capability.Rarely does a place deserve more than 5⭐️but Dai Due hits me right in my Texan heart ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟

One of the best meals I have had . We had a great BBQ chicken empanada. Chicken was juicy and delicious. We had a great salad as well. My wife got a grilled black drum that was one of the best pieces of fish we have tasted. I also got a cheese burger that is top 3 in Austin. Great homemade pickles and bun was outstanding.. go you will not be disappointed.

The patio grapes were the star of the show.I had to splurge for the Wagyu, Quail, Butterscotch, Squash, Burger, and patio grape spritzer. I hurt so good after. Heres what you need to know....The atmosphere was tres chic, quite the vibes inside and out. Lets just say it had the aroma of Cherrywood. Our server was charming and witty, she recommended honestly and smiled fervently (under her 😷 of course).Every single bite of every single item was close to perfect, except... I have learned that I dont like salt or nutty texture in my butterscotch. I hear the Ribeye and the Porkchops are both required mentions. If you are looking for a snazzy place to bring a partner or chill out on the surprisingly adequate back patio for a small private group, then this accommodates quite well.I will absolutely be back.#ianofaustin approved

A fabulous dinner with wonderfully thoughtful & friendly service! When we mentioned a food allergy, our server went above & beyond to check with kitchen & make sure that we were accommodated. Had the lamb kebabs and the grilled quail--both were outstanding! Also extremely pleased to see Texas wines. So many farm to table restaurants go on & on about the importance of locally sourced ingredients, but hypocritically have a wine list populated from Europe. I am really looking forward to returning soon.

Passionately locally sourced protein-heavy eatery with terrific variety of quite reasonably priced dishes for both meat-eaters and various vegetarian types. Simple menu that still covers plenty of ground even at lunch; and a fun, low-key but still attractive and interesting setting. The table service is uninspired but the rest of the staff is great. A place everyone should try at least once

Came here for brunch and would definitely love to come back for lunch or dinner. Brunch has a good mix of savory or sweet and breakfast or lunch items. We had pancakes, tamales, a pastry, and a pigs in a blanket kind of roll. Everything was delicious! The pancakes had a great crisp crust but light and fluffy inside with a delicious honey and orange syrup topped with fresh cream. The tamale was incredible filled with wild boar and wrapped in collard greens, also they had a great green hot sauce that went perfect. The pastry was also delicious, light and fluffy. The other pastry was incredible with a venison sausage with so much flavor.

In hindsight all the 5 star reviews are really funny. Came here on Sunday, really liked the decor/ambiance. I had the Sunday special fried chicken with mashed potatoes and the mashed potatoes were really good, the fried chicken however made me nostalgic for the infinitely better version at Gus’s. The biscuits are interesting. The strawberry pudding dessert was truly a despair. Service was decent, food was mid. I’m all for sustainability and the farm-to-table hipster stuff but not at the expense of flavor. I don’t care if Jack down the street grew the beans himself if it tastes like cardboard.

The patio area that they have available is nice with natural shade, and creates an atmosphere of naturality. The menu is filled with authentic local fare and exotic dishes. Nothing that we had had a hint of artificial sweetening and all of it tasted as if the ingredients were hand picked just before served. We got nilgai sausage and the wild game italian sandwich. We came here for dinner yesterday and overall had a really nice experience and aesthetic is really nice. I had the burger which was incredibly large but a little too salty. We also ordered the supper club menu, it was really good particular the venison for the first course. The prices are very reasonable and I would definitely be interested to return for different dishes.

This is possibly one of the best (fancier) places weve eaten in Austin. We made reservations last Wednesday and had a lovely seat under their shaded patio. For appetizer we ordered wild boar lettuce wraps. It came out on a hot plate mixed with onions, radish, squash and some other tasty flavors, and the heaviness paired perfectly with the fresh buttery lettuce, the tang from this sweet vinagrette, and the heat from the sambal sauce. We had a white wine punch and yaupon tea to drink; the flavors were rather mild and not the most interesting. We ordered the fries which came with radish ketchup (so good!) And the wagyu ribeye off the grill which had 20something minute wait, but we were fine because we had an early reservation. It didnt look like a lot but that was really the perfect amount; we even had leftovers! Then for dessert we had this peach basque cake which was AMAZING. There is a bit of salty caramel flavor to the buttery cake which paired nicely with some peachy zing. Our server was absolutely lovely. Cant wait to come again!

A restaurant which also sells locally sourced meat, most of the items on the menu is locally sourced as well. It is surely pricey, brunch average is $15 per person plus any additional for drinks. Service was okay, a tad slow. Serves dinner as well. Had the Biscuit and Gravy with venison sausage, the gravy was lacking kick, venison was a bit on the dry side. Biscuit could have been softer, will give it another shot and try something else on the menu the next time.

The biscuits and gravy with a venison sausage is done right, definitely add the egg.We typically dine during dinner and their supper club is always the way to go. Dry, overcooked, over salted. Had so much potential! Dry aged beef wagyu and antelope! But they seem to not know how to cook it. Stick to pork chops. The burger in their photo looks like a good restaurant burger, but in real life, its 2 small fast-food style patties. Overcooked, dry. They always cook it medium-well. I did not realize this until after it came out. The antelope was too salty and dry. Too intense. No sides. If you do eat here, at least order a side. Their food flavor/intensity does seem to pair well with Jester King sour beers ($40/bottle). It might be a good combination. If you dont like this place, there is a bar/restaurant on the corner of this same building which is much better quality and much cheaper too.We were very disappointed with this place. Only ate half our portion. Visibly not happy. The waitress did not ask if there was something wrong with the food or if she could get us something else. We left hungry.

Awesome spot for some really good, fresh food and drinks! The menu is simple offering different featured dishes throughout the week based off of what is seasonably available. They have daily dinner specials that tend to run out pretty quick, so its a good idea to start early if you want something unique off the menu. The Wagyu Beef Burger was absolutely fantastic, and I believe its a Tuesday night special. Its perfectly grilled on the outside with just a touch of char to give it a nice crunch, even if the burger is done medium. It was also very well salted (but not too much) which, with the char, almost made you believe it was a bacon burger. For dessert, we tried a Basque cake with strawberries, and it was very soft and buttery with almost a flaky kind of crust on the cake. Definitely recommend for a nice dinner!

The menu had so much potential, but I have to give this place 2 stars. Being a butcher shop, I expect a 70 day dry aged steak to taste like one and this just wasnt it. I feel cheated honestly, I have been to several prestigious steak houses so I know what it should taste like and this did not taste aged.We also got the meat & cheese board which was really good, especially the grilled sourdough bread. The other entree was the antelope confit, which I was not a fan of, it was too dry and not seasoned.Hit or miss with this place I believe because it has a lot of really good reviews, but I will not be coming back. Today, we had the breakfast pastry - the best cinnamon sugar doughnut that Ive ever had. It was fluffy and soft all the way through, and slightly cakey. My wife has not stopped talking about the potatoes Caroline, going so far to suggest that next time she’s gonna order JUST the potatoes Caroline as a meal.
