Manana is my favorite coffee shop in Austin. From the ambiance inside the store, to the quality of the food and the water fountain out back. I’ve worked as a barista for 3+ years now in Austin and they have never disappointed me or my pup, who loves their local homemade dog treats! Prime location, close to parts and labor and little Stacy neighborhood park ❤️ Thank you employees and owners for making it such a safe and special place to buy from!
Nice spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Was decently busy, but the staff moved quick and was very friendly. A bit expensive for the quality. There are definitely better spots around, but you at least wont leave disappointed. Food offerings are minimal, but decent for a little morning snack.
Great place with very friendly people working there! You must try their house Kombucha! It is so delicious and I think it is the best item in the menu! Their ice creams are so good as well! We got the vanilla one and it was so good! Their pastries are good too. Definitely a great cafe to have a drink and snack in while enjoying your day in Austin!
Such a great addition to the Austin coffee scene! Extremely friendly team, excellent coffee, and a beautiful space. I wish I lived nearby!
What a great shop! Such a good vibe and great selection of coffee + pastries. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable - looking forward to coming back soon :)
It says something when a design is so well curated that it draws you into a space. This tile work did it for me, but the beverages kept me.Nice cozy spot off the main bustle of SoCo. Got a little busy and a little tight inside due to a lack of seating. If youre going, go early while its cool outside and sit at the outdoor tables. Otherwise, get comfortable talking to a stranger at a family-style table, or one of the three high top tables/window seats.
Mixed experience here. Yesterday’s latte was excellent - would easily categorize it as one of the best in town. Today’s latte was subpar with sharp bitterness and sourness. Maybe try them when they’re not busy to get a tasty drink. The plain croissant was crusty on the outside but doughy on the inside. I prefer crusty and airy. Caught a live band yesterday outside their outdoor seating area, which is a little oasis from the busyness out on the street.
Nice coffee shop. The seating in the courtyard is gorgeous. Also enjoyed their iced chai latte.
Revised review. We did have an unsatisfactory visit here recently, but I feel like the management team went above and beyond what was necessary. I really appreciate the effort. Lets hope its one of those off days, and we will see when we give them another try. It was a situation where we had a great experience the first visit and the second was just so off the mark. Lets see what the third time holds...
This coffee shop is amazing. The pastries are absolutely delicious. The coffee is perfect. Awesome atmosphere and great customer service. I would highly recommend this coffee shop if you need to find a nice quiet spot to get some work done or do some studying. There is a courtyard in the back with lots of shade and tables.
I got a iced honey lavender latte with oat milk, it was good! One of the better coffees I’ve had in austin
I come here most often for several reasons. It’s on my morning walk. The conversation is either international or about a new screenplay or script. There are quite a few tourists since it’s part of the South Congress Hotel, but they are usually the interesting types. The staff here are second to none. They also have gluten-free fresh baked pastries.
I wish I had known about this gem sooner. Its a great coffee bar with good variety of flavors and non-coffee options, snacks. Super sweet staff and easy going environment.
☕️My oat milk late was SO delicious!Variety in pastry 🧁 The customer service was excellent ....I had to wait a little while ordering, it was a Saturday morning, which I suppose is the reason.Inside the place is a little tight, in the outside area they have couple of tables ...and there is no wifi I thought🧐
Really great coffee and pastries. Kind of a “hidden” gem on South Congress. I tried the nitro cold brew and giant cinnamon roll and both were delicious.
This place is amazing. Best coffee and pastries in Austin by far and the staff is always so nice and friendly!
The staff is rude if youre looking for atmosphere go somewhere else. The surrounding are nice but again the staff is humorless and dead pan.
Great espresso! One of two places that didnt burn it in Austin
Loved the drip coffee. A little assitic for my taste but great. Good seating area too.
Always a good coffee here.
Coffee and tea were delicious. Great atmosphere.
Found this place while looking for an espresso place we hadnt tried but that was relatively close to work.It was 830ish on a Tuesday morning and the place was empty. Looked at the menu and really liked what I saw: partries, other baked goods, and tacos (which were already sold out - that says something!).Ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a Kouign Amann to go with our drip coffee and cortado. They asked if we wanted our pastries heated up and we both agreed. I loved that they didnt stick them in a microwave but in an over where our partries maintained their flaky layers. While I truly appreciated this touch, maybe the ham and cheese croissant shouldve been kept in this a little longer as the ham and cheese were still a bit cold while the outside was warm. Wouldve taken it back to a little more of that heat blast but we were already on the road. She loved her drip coffee and my cortado was pretty good. Wish we couldve stayed and enjoyed the seating in the courtyard as it was truly something else. You have a great, chill playlist going while listening to the water crashing from the fountain. I could probably spend all day tucked away here.NOTE: due to covid, they currently do not have indoor seating. The inside of the coffee shop is super clean and loved their modern look with alot of windows to let natural light in. The staff was super friendly and will definitely be back. Definitely a place to chill!
The barista filled my coffee 2/3rd of the way with coffee then topped it off with hot water??? She gave me a snarky thanks when I declined to tip which is why I paid more attention, her hands were mostly hidden by the bar layout. First, that is just spiteful. Second, does plain black drip coffee (and nothing else) even require a tip???
Cute bright little coffee shop tucked away in the South Congress Hotel complex. I’ve had iced coffee and iced matcha and both were very tasty. It’s a small spot (indoors) so I’ve only been able to catch a seat inside once. Otherwise it’s been busy and crowded (good for them) but I’ve not been able to sit down and work etc. I recommend street parking on South Congress. There is open outdoor seating in the shared courtyard as well.
Cinnamon roll was pretty good, we asked for it to be warmed up which may have made it a little hard, but the flavor was still good regardless. They also included a free donut with out order which was really nice. The iced latte was pretty good, a little more vanilla flavor would have been nice though. Overall, cool place and nice atmosphere, I would definitely come back in the future.
Tucked away just off S. Congress, it still has a nice cozy café feel. Decor is well thought out, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Drip coffee is great (Revelator from Birmingham at the time), with free refills. Limited but adequate indoor seating, and some space to sit outside in the courtyard. Will definitely come back!
It was cold and rainy when I came here and Manana was such a cute and cozy place to get a warm coffee! I loved the chill vibes and the seating. It was easy to get a seat by the window and do my homework with a coffee. I got a cappuccino with almond milk and it was delightful. I recommend for any day rain or shine.
It was my first time here and I let the barista know I needed something to wake me up that’s iced. The barista suggested the nitro cold brew drink. I was shocked at the only size it came in, but surprised how it kept me going throughout my day. Definitely got the job done for me. The service was good and very friendly staff. The drink size ended up being enough.
Lovely service, the espresso and baked goods are top notch. Their collection of healthy and happy fiddle leaf plants is downright impressive.
Ok so I wanted to love this spot-it has great reviews and it’s super cute inside. My experience was a little of a roller coaster and I normally only review when something is exceptionally great or exceptionally terrible. I think I arrived in the middle on this one. We were the second customer in line, placed our order and paid. The guy taking orders was nice but seemed a little unsure-maybe he was new? He was hesitant and verified my order more than twice (I appreciate that though if you’re unsure-ask me 100 times just get it right, especially when it’s a $15 ticket) One drink was up right away and we had a pastry and waited for the second drink. About 3 groups of 2-4 people arrived after us-one even commenting it was her favorite place so I was thinking ok-maybe the coffee is really great! We waited, and waited and I saw them pass a tray of lattes out-I assumed that order was for someone before me that was on the patio so I was like alright sweet-mines next. Nope-the people behind me all started receiving their drinks. At this point I’m a little disenchanted because the baristas on machine haven’t even acknowledged me, they were mixing a big batch of something like matcha between serving drinks (cool, multitasking I get it) but like...say hi? Smile? I don’t know. I think a little acknowledgement goes a long ways. I guess my face showed my displeasure under my mask because one of the baristas noticed and asked what I was waiting on- She apologized and said they lost my ticket and made my drink right away. She was professional and kind and even threw in a complimentary cookie for the wait-and so I was like okay things are looking up. I get it, sometimes that happens and you just miss an order. I felt good about how she handled forgetting me. I wasn’t stoked on how no one cared to acknowledge me until I was clearly unimpressed and the only person still standing there after a crowd left. Also online it says they use oatly oat milk and they actually used califia which isn’t my favorite. Maybe they were out of oatly or the site was outdated. Not a huge deal-coffee was okay. Nothing to write home about. Experience left to be desired, could have been an off day but it really threw me off after seeing all the other great reviews. I Really wanted to love it.
Great vibes and relatively quite early in the morning
Great spot. Delicious specialty drinks, and the coffee is fantastic. I love their rtd options too - the nut milk and Ice cream is great
The best coffee SHOP in Austin - perfect location with a wonderful patio attachment to enjoy excellent lattes and baked treats. It’s always our first stop in Austin!
Manana offers a beautiful secluded patio setting to enjoy their high quality beverages and food.
We went specifically for the cinnamon rolls and honestly they were kind of disappointing. They were a little dry and overcooked. Instead of a soft outside and gooey center, the outside was firm and somewhat crusty and the inside was firm and hadnt absorbed any icing or butter or anything. The ham and cheese croissant was lovely though.
Clean, good vibes and nice staff.
1st time visiting but Nick made us feel like a regulars! He gave us privacy during our meal but afterwards came by and gave us some background on the restaurant and its unique japanese whiskey selection. The entire staff was great and the restaurant has a very welcoming vibe, we felt right at home. Were definitely coming back and I recommend you visiting!
Favorite espresso in austin with quiet outdoor space! and a great vegan cookie!
Visited this shop last year in October and absolutely loved it. Delicious coffee and the interior was beautiful. Friendly staff and also loved seeing the eco-friendly initiatives in place. Cant wait to visit again when Im back in Austin.
This is our local neighborhood coffee shop since it opened a few years back. Good coffee and even better pastries. Best croissants in town although lately the batches coming out have been more on the over baked side. Wife and I love walking here with our dog during the week days. The weekends tend to be too busy.
Great service and coffee. Inside is not open to sit right now during covid, but loved the little outside courtyard seating area.
Great atmosphere. Awesome coffee. Best cheese Danish Ive ever had. Glad we stumbled upon this gem. Friendliest of staff! Highly recommend.
Great coffee and great service. I accidentally spilled my latte and they were quick to make me another one, and so kind when cleaning up too. It is a little tight with seating space, but theres some space right outside the coffee shop too. Special shout-out for using compostable cups and dishes.
Love this spot. Friendly staff and the best pastries in Austin.
This place is always great. Great coffee, tea and pastries. Its almost always busy but the line always moves fast. One of my favorite cafes in Austin especially around 10am when the sun comes through the front windows.
Mañana is delicious. Great coffee and pastries.
Nice little coffee shop. Great teas and pastries! They have an outdoor space out back and its very nice. Its a little pricey but a nice stop every now and then.
Customer service was top notch. Coffee was even better.
Quaint shop. Good service, good pastries. Id have liked them warmed but we were served and werent asked. Overall good experience. Love that its tucked away but easily accessible and right there by the Congress Hotel.
So few coffee options on South Congress but luckily for us Manana is one of the nicer options in Austin. I prefer visiting during the week so I can relax and read the paper. Weekend lines are a bit nuts at times and youll unlikely get a seat. Staff are nice enough; I wouldny say welcoming but nice.
Great coffee, good breakfast tacos
Fast and friendly service! Dropped through here since I was in the neighborhood. I had a macchiato, draft kombucha, and double chocolate cookie. All three were exceptional! The ambience is spectacular with the floor to ceiling windows and mixed wood and tile throughout the cafe. Service was great. As a first time customer, I felt like I was treated like a regular. The next time I go through South Congress, I will make sure to stop again.
This is my go to coffee place, the drinks are better than any place around. If you enjoy a good latte as much as I do, this place has one of the best I have ever had. The pastries are amazing too.. but you will gain some weight if you make it a daily habit as I did earlier this year.
I love this place, but PLEASE buy some new stools. Only reason Im giving you a 4 star. They are so uncomfortable and I am a tiny female and my butt doesnt fit at all on the stool nor are my legs long enough to get comfortable on the one bar that goes across—I cant imagine how they feel for a larger person. Also, you slip right off of them. They are cute and sleek but totally non-user friendly.
Very friendly staff whos always a great pleasure to talk to. Great coffee
Great coffee, pastries, and juices. Inside is a bit tight but there’s a nice shaded patio in you want to stay a while.
My favorite drink is Golden Eye, and Millionaires’ Bar to pair up ;)
Manana is a neat cafe with quality coffee. The atmosphere is comfortable for company and/ or studying independently. If you are walking down South Congress, Id recommend stopping here for a drink (they also have carbonated water on tap for free).
Great hidden coffee shop off Congress.
Coffee was pretty boring and milky. Mocha was way too sweet and the chocolate flavor was mediocre and watery. Itll work if you need a caffeine fix.
Very hip coffee shop with awesome vibes. They boast a full coffee menu with above average prices but the quality is very good. There is limited seating indoors so be prepared to take the coffee to go if the place ends up being packed, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing since there are lots of cool shops to visit within the surrounding blocks of South Congress.
This place is awesome for a quick coffee and small bite to eat. I love coming here to get work done, although it can get really noisy with traffic as people from the hotel cone through. The best part is the bubbly water on tap! It reminds me of an endless stream of Topo Chico ❤️
The everything bagel kolache is amazing as are all their pastries.
Awesome baristas. Had a golden espresso for the first time, and they didnt disappoint. The free sparkling water was a nice touch too. Quiet place to camp out for a bit amidst all the shopping on South Congress street.
Our new favorite coffee spot! Consistent quality and great morning pastries. There isnt a whole lot of seating available, but the communal table can be a nice place to strike up a conversation and make new friends.
Quaint coffee shop. Quiet, with great aesthetics. Love the Scrabble style menu.
I love this place, excellent food & service. The bill was average for the menu. Mood here reminds me of Colorado Springs area.
Beautiful space and AMAZING pastries! I dream about the kouign ammon. Half priced baked goods from 5-7pm, so no excuses not to try it! The seating inside is fairly limited (the tall bar seats are also extremely uncomfortable and I dont get it), as are the outlets, so prob not the best place to do work for extended period of time.
