CVS Needs to be the Bigger, Better, Neighbor and hire a private security team!Hi, Im a regular customer of CVS store 10888 on Congress Ave in Austin, TX. I also happen to do security at a job site near this CVS. From where I do security, I get to observe daily, the level of craziness that happens at this particular CVS For the past 2 years, I have observed the many issues at this CVS while on patrol doing my jobs duties. I can tell you this - CVS has a HUGE problem with Transients on a scale and level that your company should be ashamed over.Paying patrons and regular residents hardly want to go into this store because of the transients parked out front and hackling everything that moves. Transients have assaulted CVS customers and you do nothing. Then, how much needs to be stolen from your store before you act? Also, your lack of action hurts the local businesses near this CVS because there is no security. Hire a Security Company and quit placing your employees at risk!

Rude pharmacy staff, definitely recommend the location on 5th in the Target over this one. Also made an appointment for my vaccine booster and still had to wait in line with non-appointment having patients.

Great little store. Has mostly everything. Staff is hit or miss. Levi was awesome. Helped out a lot. So did Rebecca in pharmacy.Good prices. 2 floors, most stuff.Just lots of homeless outside. That’s all.

This location has improved since the last time I visited it almost 7 years ago. It is cleaner, brighter, and better stocked now. The staff was friendly during my visit and did not act bothered when I asked where certain items were located at in the store. I hope CVS can maintain this level of customer service at this location.

Basic CVS, grocery downstairs, meds and personal hygiene up stairs. Almost completely self checkout. Close place for out of town travelers to get items.

Isaac was so friendly and helpful signing me up for the new CVS card program and helping me find items since Im just visiting the area. It was very pleasant having someone so positive to interact with. Thank you, Isaac!

Pluses here: Isaac is helpful, standout employee.Pharmacy is well-lit.I dont care for the layout of the store and its a big sloppy.

I swear, every time I goto the CVS its a horrible experience...I work a few doors down and always try to run there right before work, usually in a rush and its like prong teeth trying to just buy stuff....you have 4 employees standing around doing nothing while a line forms at youre self checkout more worried about looking at the homeless people outside than opening up a register. Why even have 4 people at the front of the store just to stand around and use youre terrible self checkout

2 stories of drugs downtown. The biggest CVS Ive ever seen.I came in 5 min before closing for some allergy meds and they were still helpful pointing me upstairs to grab some Allegra knockoff.Update: Allegra knockoff didnt work.Huge hassle to return without a receipt, they gave part of the money back on a cvs card.

It has basics but its tiny and split level. The plus is that it has the pharmacy.

I have never been to a two story CVS before, but the cashier Esmeralda, was so helpful in navigating the store. She was so sweet and made this a great experience.

The cashier james was very helpful and had great customer service skills. Usually CVS employees can be a bit grumpy so this was a pleasant surprise. Thanks James

Probably the worst CVS I’ve been to but it’s improving. Bad not due to homeless gathering in the front, but the staff not being knowledgeable and the ability to not complete simple transactions.The self checkout scanners don’t accept coupons for some odd reason, and take quite a bit of time to use due to long lines.

Very helpful and knowledgeable young lady from Spain helped me tremendously, printing pictures, getting CarePass, her attention to detail in getting best pictures enlarged coupled with her work ethic and impeccable people skills are a winning combination. Shes an incredible asset for CVS!!!!!

Typical CVS, great place to go if youre visiting from out of town and need some essentials. They have 3 self-checkout machines, but only one was working: one had a sign it wasnt working, and the other had a black screen and just didnt respond. Cashiers were friendly. Convenient location.

Probably the best CVS Ive been to. The pharmacy staff is the best!

I have been waiting since July 17 to get COVID test results that I was told could take up to 10 days. It’s July 31 and no results. I followed the directions given by staff to set up an online account where my results would be loaded - and called repeatedly- no calls have been returned by CVS or Courtney Hendrick, NP and no results provided to date. If you care about your health do not visit this pharmacy.

Horrific pharmacy experience. If you have to use the store due to convenience fine but AVOID THE PHARMACY AT ALL COSTS. They will tell you your prescription is ready without checking, they do not communicate nor organize this pharmacy well when handing off from one shift to another and will tell you you are at fault when you follow directions they verbally give you over the phone.AGAIN AVOID THE PHARMACY AT THIS LOCATION.

I have vowed never ever to go here again. My bladder was bursting, I asked the pharmacist to go to the restroom. She snidely told me we dont have public restrooms. She calmly turned and walked away even as I shouted Its a emergency! - which it was.

Beyond dumb employees on the night shift

Was a good place to stop by and pick some stuff up that I’d neglected to pack for my trip. Staff was friendly, it did seem like they were forcing it to me but some people are just like that. Prices were okay, look for the deals.

Drove to CVS not knowing if it was still open at about 11:45 almost 12 and they were still open! I walked in the guy at the register greeted me. The store was clean. It was easy to find the stuff I needed. Went to the register and the guy was really friendly for working late. Great experience overall.

CVS is just your average store/pharmacy, but what makes it great is its customer service. When you enter youre always greeted and the pharmacist at the back is so NICE! Hes always extremely helpful even if hes already closed for the day he will try to do anything to help. Such a great staff!!!

I know the exterior is a little sketchy. But the store is very well maintained. Im always greeted when I walk in and asked if I need help finding something. If I do need help someone has walked me to the location in the store. The pharmacy staff is pleasant and friendly. Especially the male pharmacist.

Worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to. My doctor sent my electronic prescription twice to them, and I saw the document in person. They told me they would have it ready in 30 minutes. I went back to work and I told them I would get it when I was off, but then they called me and said the electronic signature wasn’t valid. I called customer service because IT WAS valid and I talked to my doctor who sent it three times, three damn times, and now they are saying they never received anything from my doctor today. Incompetent and rude staff, clearly can’t get people there medications. Do not come here, this is the second bad experience I’ve had with them.

Every other pharmacy knows what insurance companies they accept. Distinctly unhelpful to call in and be told the only way to know is if you waste time driving out there and they run it. No thanks, Ill go to my regular pharmacy in the morning.

Very convenient location, higher costs but thats to be expected. Great return policy for store brand items.

This is a clutch store in this location just down the street from work. I need calories throughout the day, and CVS provides those calories in the form of healthy, pre-packaged peanuts, dried fruit, and other Evolution Diet items. The prices arent great, but if youre in a fix, you can find what you need. Also, the service has been pretty darn good here. Ill be back regularly.

They actually have no clue how to use an egift card... I literally could not make a purchase because they are stupid.

I came to the pharmacy in an emergency and the technician refused to help me I waited for 20 minutes before I asked when she was going to call to my home pharmacy. I was the only one waiting and she said she was busy. No one else was here at the time. She is still refusing to help me. I talked to a manager and she wouldnt answer when he called. She still refuses to help me Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. They have no interest in helping someone in an emergency situation. I told her that I was desperate and she didnt care Now other customers are in line and she somehow has the time to help them, but cant be bothered to help me.

I needed a few hair care items that I neglected to pack, but to my surprise, this CVS did not have one African American hair care product... The Sales Associate informed me that we dont sell ethnic products in here. Really Austin? Really CVS?

This CVS can be a little bit sketchy at times and I wouldnt stop by after dark if I could help it, but its the only large pharmacy in the downtown area, so sometimes its a necessity!
