Absolutely loved this place! I can tell that their staff put in an effort in their phenomenal attitudes. I had their Thai Tea and it was delicious. Would come again!

I usually don’t like to like to post these type of reviews, but I feel like customers should be aware.I ordered an Avocado Smash and asked for a coconut milk substitute as I’m lactose intolerant. I know that the drink won’t taste and appear the same as the image, but I didn’t expect the drink to be a thick guacamole. It was literally like avocado paste with bits of jelly. No liquidity in the drink. I had already left the store and wasn’t able to come back immediately.When I called the store to mention about the issue, wondering if maybe the coconut milk was forgotten. The girl on the phone said that the milks are usually mixed in with the avocado and offered to add more coconut milk if I would like to return. At that point, I was unsatisfied with my drink and asked if I could exchange it for a different type of drink instead. She replied that unfortunately, the store does not allow for exchanges in drinks. I was very disappointed to hear about that policy as I paid over $7 for that drink with the substitute.Let me just say that this review is not reflective on the services of the cashier worker and the girl on the phone. They were both professional and nice. I wanted to give customers a heads up about that particular policy.

Came on a busy Sunday around noon. Our group ordered the Fruit Addict, Red Bean Combo, and Passion Fruit drinks. I asked for less sweetness. Drinks came out quickly (within 5 minutes). We all loved our choices. So many variety to choose from, so you cant go wrong!

Best drinks in town. Order the number 10 that comes with coconut cream and jellies.

Located within the Chinatown with plenty of free parking lots. Bamboo is the best place in Austin for the most popular Vietnamese deserts. Should be a good choice for deserts with just a short walk after having Vietnamese cuisine or shopping around. They used to have very good waffles but seems like they have recently changed the waffle recipe, it is just not as good as before IMO. Highly recommend if you like sweet treats. My favorite ones are chè sương sáo đậu xanh, chè ba màu, avocado smoothies, and pandan waffles. They currently open for dine-in with a piece of note on each table to let you know if the table is cleaned and ready to sit. Customers should turn the note upside down before leaving the table they have been sitting so that the staffs know it needs to be cleaned.

Bubble tea had no flavor no sugar and no taste. Just ice. Boba was also terrible. The staff remade it and it was still terrible. Not sure how that’s possible.

Very good smoothies, great variety of flavors, they just need to clean the floor a little bit better because every time I go I see trash around. Other than that very nice place to get a snack.

I was here today (I went ahead and called to order my drink I told them I would be there in 10 min since I have limited time on my break) I get there and there was 2 girls they didnt even bother to say hi when I first got there. ME THE CUSTOMER HAD TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEM FIRST. The drink was not even made. The quality of the tapioca was horrible some tasted really goey while others where really hard and dry, additionally it had a weird watery flavor. I used to love bambu but I wont be back anytime soon.

Come here for the Chè! Viet coffee is also good. Not the place Id come for boba, but its not bad either. The waffles are also delicious if youre in the mood for it. Cafe atmosphere is good for doing some work/studying.

The wait is pretty crazy but the drinks are so worth it. I suggest the green apple with green apple jelly if you like tart. The mango smoothie is super tasty, too. Good for kids and adults alike!

The food and drink is good, but they need to be more organized and need to work on their cleanliness & customer service. Take sometime to sweep & clean the tables. I like there Pandan Waffle.

Some of the better boba tea and dessert drinks in North Austin. Nice ambiance and a good amount of seating. Fresh ingredients and nice size portions for the price.The lower rating is for the amount of time it takes to get your order. No matter how busy, Ive only seen one person cashiering and making drinks.

I went yesterday at 7:35 pm and the cashier did not want to sell me a waffle just the milk tea they have good milk tea and waffle but the customer service is really bad !!!

Best place to go for drinks in Chinatown plaza! I love coming down here every time Im in Austin for their huge variety of drinks, teas and shakes. They are very friendly and the inside is really welcoming, nice and clean with lots of tables, couches and booths. They also have a clean bathroom and outdoor tables. Its a great place to hang out and work on homework or just relax with friends, they have fast Wi-Fi so you dont need worry about using your data and plenty of places to plug your computer or phone. Plus they usually put up major sporting events, as Im writing this they have the 2018 Russia World Cup; Croatia vs England playing live on a fairly big TV with a small crowd watching inside. I love that it doesnt get overly crowded and they make the drinks fast. They are all very tasty and different than your typical Starbucks, with jellies usually being in the drinks, plus theyre a way better value than other coffe shops. The drinks themselves are enough reason to come, the atmosphere is just the icing on the cake. If youre down in this area, youd be doing yourself a favor to stop by.

Delicious, not too sweet. Visited on a weekday in the afternoon so it was not busy at all. Fast and friendly service.

Worst place ever. They do not listen to customers. The manager has a terrible attitude with a purely fake smile. DO NOT GO HERE. They not only took my item that I paid for, but they didnt give a refund or an exchange. Nothing. THEY STOLE MY MONEY!!!!!!!!

Bambu takes the best of Asian coffee and desserts and puts it deep in the heart of Texas. The staff is amazing and you can never get board of the endless selections. Theres something for every palate. Bambu is my favorite spot for Boba Tea in Austin.

There are a lot of Asian desserts drinks spots lately and many are great. But if you want a dessert drink that can be labeled as a deluxe drink, come here. They really pack in the ingredients if you get the special drinks and they are awesome.

I love this place, its really good for studying, tons of tables and chairs. The young woman who works Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm is so nice and even remembered my order from only being here 2 times. I dont know her name but shes great! My usual drink is the Vietnamese Ice coffee and Ive gotten it every time, I havent tried anything else yet but as some one who loves strong coffee its really good. It can be hot or cold. Super strong and good for a full day of classes. I used google maps and got a little lost the first time but it is inside the Chinese shopping center right by fit

My gal finally got her avocado smoothie, and my son said his strawberry banana smoothie was the best one hes every had in his life! I really enjoyed my quad shot espresso over ice! Well be back when in town!

The #1 Bambu Special is very unique, making it a must try. Yes its a little pricey compared to the other drinks but thats only because theres a ton of fresh ingredients in it. Dont let price hinder your decision here.With that being said, the Bambu Special may not be for everyone. My other go-to is the Jasmine Milk Tea; I love flowery tea, the more flowery the better. And theirs was on point. I was actually expecting to be disappointed as Im a big milk tea critic, but Bambu proved me wrong.By the way, the place is huge! Youll never have trouble finding a seat. This place is a great hangout spot.

First off, I asked for taro milk tea. I tasted only a little, and noticed it tasted like bubble gum. I asked for it to be exchanged, then the chick at the front didnt want to exchange it. I dont come here often, but when I do I normally am satisfied but after her lack of assistance, Im not coming here again. Seriously, I get its not like a Starbucks, but I paid to enjoy a drink not throw it away. Such horrible customer service. For management, I hope you read this.

Been to Bambu in many cities in Texas but hands down this is the best! Desserts are consistently great in texture and taste. No wonder why they stay busy.

Had the Jasmine Milk (coconut milk) Tea with pearls and it was delicious! Also got to try the Che drink with jackfruit, pearls, and some other fruit, which was really good. Service was great and the staff were really friendly. Its a cute little hangout spot too with a few big screens showing news and sports.

First time here and will definitely be back. The service was a little slower than expected, but worth the wait for my delicious drink.

Despite the website and their sign up front saying they closed at 10pm, doors were locked by 9:35pm. 25 minutes before close just to pick up a few drinks isnt an unreasonable request. It only takes 5 minutes to make us drinks and we would have been out of there by 9:40pm. I would understand if I came in 5-10 minutes before close and they told me they were closing up, however you shouldnt lock people out when theres still a good 25 minutes before close. All the places Ive worked at, we wait until at least 5 minutes before closing to lock the doors.The young lady working the cash register that night wouldnt even make eye contact when we were walking up to the door and checking the closing times. When we pulled on the locked door, she glanced up for a second and looked away. The least she could have done was acknowledge us or mouth a sorry to let us know there was some kind of remorse. Just felt like a nuisance to her.Really embarrassing to be locked out of a place before the closing times.. BAMBU should really consider doing take-out only after 9:30pm or something instead of locking people out before the listed closing times.Really disappointed.

It’s a great place to hang out with community friends, as you may see all lovely seniors gathering outside to play chess, chatting and laughing; it’s not a great place to get your bubble tea.

So bummed that my bo dam 🥑 spoiled before I could finish my dessert drink. I stored it without the lid or anything covering it so thats my fault. However, I loved the fresh avocados, coffee jelly and a mixture of not too sweet taste in my drink. I still think back to what I missed out. 😂 Service is quick and so is the ordering process. Parking is easy since its in the same area as MT Marketplace and you can just walk across. Seating is plentiful as well when I entered. Very clean place. Ill be back for my once in a while tapioca drink.

What is a che? According to Bambu, its a cup filled with the usual milk tea toppings, but for triple the price. Get something else, or check out Texas Bakery across the street.

Look one taste of the Vietnamese coffee and you find out way I drive from S Austin to get a cup or two. The service is always great.

We used to come here a lot for boba drinks, especially avocado smoothies since their prices were reasonable but they keep increasing prices and charge extra for every little thing while there are so many other stiff competitors around also with good desert drinks so we are not coming back here much. Hopefully theyll take notes before they turn into another Lees Sandwich!

The bubble tea was too sweet and the service I received from the cashier wasnt good. Dont expect this place to be a good hangout place. Old men are always smoking outside, and the Vietnamese customers in large groups are so loud.

I ordered a passion fruit smoothie with rainbow gel. After receiving my order, I noticed a black spot very similar to an insect. To give the benefit of the doubt, I thought it was a passion fruit seed, but then I saw the head of an insect. I returned to the staff and showed them an insect and asked for a refund.I was refused the refund, instead they said they would re-do my order. There was no guarantee that whatever they would give me next would not have insect parts in it.Overall, I had a very negative experience at this establishment and I do not plan to return in the future.

My roommate and I have been waiting for this place to finally open. Its a chain from California that had already made its way to Houston and Dallas in the last couple of years. The #1 Bambu Special is our go to. They specialize in Vietnamese desserts called Che, which are often a lot of sweet melanges of jelly, fruit, sweet asian dessert beans and syrup/coconut milk.I also like that they will adjust the sweetness level for you at your request and even put the ice with some extra in its own bag if you take it to go. This way it doesnt melt in your drink right away.Ive never bothered to try the tapioca drinks or other drinks because honestly what this place does best is the Che. Stick to boba places if you want bubble teas.

Was not impressed with this place, there are a few other Bubble Tea places in the area. It was the grand opening weekend here, there was no line at the register the day I went in and everyone in the store seemed to have their drink. I got a simple smoothie with tapioca. However I was told it would be a 10 minute wait.... so I waited. The drink came out all messy, it was oozing down the side and it passed by at least 2 workers before it got to me and no one seemed to care to clean it. It wasnt anything super tasty or out of this world. Just okay for bubble tea.
