Love the selection of food they offer. Was able to find some chocolates I grew up eating in Germany. I will definitely be shopping here for specialty items in the future. For the people complaining about high prices, everything is imported so of course the prices will reflect that. I am always thankful when I can get a piece of Europe in the states.
It was very good. But store really needs to increase a variety of croceries and more large square.
Great place for Eastern Europeans and Europeans to grab some quality products from back home. For locals its a good place to try some new things.Staff is friendly and knowledgeable so if in doubt feel comfortable to ask questions. The place is clean and well maintained. The product selection is varied however it will grow as business goes on.Happy with the place and very glad its available.Enjoy your shopping experience!
Went in looking for German candy... only to be introduced to Russian candy... THIS STORE IS AMAZING!!! Walked out with soooo many goodies that Im going back in a few weeks to show my kids. Thank you !!!! Best store and amazing service!!!! Ive already tasted soooo many that Im afraid to finish the rest.
Very clean, darling, quaint store with fun assortment of unusual items. Cookies, crackers, soups, sauces and more! Really enjoyed our experience there.
Light on fresh stuff but with a reasonable deli counter for preserved meats, and plenty of frozen delights
This is a great store. Lots of variety of items from Eastern Europe. Prices aren’t too too bad considering this is the only store of its kind around. Finally got a few of the items Ive been wanting! The store itself is clean, organized, and well stocked. Definitely recommend going there if you are from Eastern Europe or visited them.
It will get 3 starts until a better store is opened (better mean normal), then it will get 1 star. Or they can decide to improve quality and items variety.
Its not really European, more former Soviet states in its selections. That said, its pretty much the only game in town for getting Russian favorites and they keep a decent stock. Prices are high but fair given theyre offering unique imports. They carry some interesting Georgian and Polish wines.Wed love to see more refrigerated salads and such.
Was kind of disapointed. Very limited selection and it was a bit pricey.
Excellent small business with great service, clean facilities and plenty of goodies from eastern Europe
My Polish mother and I have been looking for Polish stores in the Austin for the longest time, but we have come up empty, until I discovered this store! My Polish mother loved the Polish and Eastern European food this establishment offers. The Vegan Potato and Mushroom Pierogies tempted, but instead I bought some dried small white beans. This store selling dried small white beans at at price I can handle pleases me .Thanks for running a place my Polish mother loves!
I enjoy shopping here. Staff is friendly, selection is good.
Well stocked and organized. Has a lot of Russian favorites an expat may miss.
Small friendly grocery with a selection of European ethnic foods. Found Kishka there (Polish) for a loved one. Reasonably priced too!
Clean, but pricy. I recommend as a place to find #Slavicfoodinatx or Eastern European food.No deli cutting, which is 👎🏻 cos how can be cut with a slicer can’t never be done with a knife and is pain in a 🍑Good range of frozen and preserved food, teas and candies. If you are looking for a taste of Slavic food and live in NW - that’s will be it.
Interesting place. Very european products. Polish pickles a great. Staff very nice
Went here the other day it’s a lot smaller then I thought it was going to be. The actual shopping floor is smaller then a gas station it seemed lax Not a whole lot of variety either. The lady working the register was not very welcoming but it was easy to checkout. I might have just went on a bad day. But the store looked very clean. I might give it another try in a few months. I just feel like customer service needs a lot of improvement.
Great place for Eastern European foods, there are all necessary stables of Russian cuisine available most of the time at pretty decent price. The employees are super nice too!
Great variety of products from Eastern Europe. However prices there are sky high. While its nice from time to time hey a treat from back home, I would not shop here on a regular basis.
We love going here a couple times or more a month. Nice and super-friendly. Lots of selection, I find something new to try about everytime I am in there, that becomes my newest favorite, until the next new thing takes over. Stop by and you will be impressed, and try something new, with a bottle of Baltika, I got #9 this time, but the Russian Imperial Porter is real good... The Ukrainian 4-pack is a staple.
Great store in Austin. Run by Ukrainian lady that helps you choose what you needs. A lot of products from Easter Europe. Nice European sausages. Some Russian beer. Some polish sweets. I am rarely in Austin but stepping in every time
One can find alot from European market there but it becomes pricey.
Russian food shop. No tradidional drugs and books only food
I think it is the only Russian store around Austin. It does have a good grasp on what we might want and need. Stay open! You should deliver.
Where else you can find food from Azerbaijan, Lithuania or The Ukraine in Austin. It is small but they have good good selection
Awesome! I love this store and shop very often, cause I found lot of my favourite products❤❤❤
Small but good selection. I am able to get just what I need. Good location and clean.
I was foolishly searching for a “Russian store” to no avail and was almost ready to drive to Houston to get some pelmeni and good caviar until I found this place. Upon visiting - 0 disappointment. They have it all - huge selection of tea, various pickles, frozen food (Russian pancakes, pelmeni and many more), red and black caviar, bread, cookies, soft drinks, kolbasa, sausages, etc, etc. I got myself all I wanted and I surely will come back again.
Love this store! Finally a russian/Georgian/ turkish store around in Austin! Was waiting years for it! Very satisfied with their product! The prices are high! But they are importing it from so much far away! And it’s always fresh! They are new! Let’s support them! Give them business! And we will see lower prices! And more product! I’m sure! I travel from Dallas to Austin just to come here. YES IT IS WORTH IT!
Such a good selection of Eastern European food! Great customer service! The place is very neat and clean.
Small market with a nice selection of specialty goods that cant be found elsewhere. Friendly service!
Hands down, the best destination in Austin for Eastern European and Russian groceries. Very authentic, always fresh foods and great variety.
Great as usual, my favorite Eastern European things store
The nerve on these people and silly me, I don’t learn my lesson!Check the expiration date, half of everything I bought is, again, EXPIRED.Step-it-up a notch my European people, please!
Needs more items to add
Great healthy treats that are a nice change from the options at a traditional grocery store. Excellent servic .
Cute shop with exactly the Slav food supplies I was looking for. Go check them out!
Visited recently, very small, selection of products is limited, prices are expensive.
Ive been visitor for many russian stores. This one is standing out in its one of a kind. No more russian store in Austin area. So prices little bit high, but not terrible. All long missing items are in stock, including russian beer and Georgia wine. Recommended.
Nice store, great service.
This is a Russian Market and Eastern Europe great inventory
Good staff.Taras is a very good Manager!
Unique selection of food, great pelemeni dumplings, sunflower seeds, and Russian candy. There’s a lot of stuff you can’t find anywhere else and good hospitality by sales person, Olga. Thank you so much, we’ll be back again.
This is a cool little market with a bunch of treats and food that is very hard to find. The staff is also very helpful and friendly.
I didnt think this place was that well put together. Many of the shelves were bare. It made really feel like I was in Soviet Russia. Regardless, I will be coming back because I dont know of anywhere else in Austin I can get the items they offer here. Very uncommon stuff, and for that reason, 5 stars.
Best European deli in Austin!! Real kielbasa for the grill!!! Amazing place with really nice people working there. Selection is constantly getting better and more refined. Every week has new stuff. They even have a kiddie corner where children can play while their parents shop.
Though the store has specialty items that most folks cant not get, It is a nice change of pace to get a little of home. But the pricing on foods.... Is ridiculously way overpriced meats in general. I get they should make a profit but twice the price?
Very rude customer service. I won’t be going back.
Awesome thanks
Neat place, great selection of stuff you never had from across the world. Treat yourself to something new, and broaden your horizons.Friendly staff, and decent prices.I got the cheesecake dipped in chocolate from the fridge and it was delicious.
Good selection of foods from Europe, particularly eastern Europe
Many products from east europe
My experience with Borderless European Market is very positive: the store is clean, the prices are reasonable, the merchandise is organized and the staff is knowledgeable and polite. I love buying food I grew up with, it brings back wonderful memories of my childhood.I had a small issue with a product I purchased in the store. The owner of BEM, Taras, listened to my concerns very patiently and in a friendly manner offered the very best solution to my issue. My needs as a customer were met in the best way possible and I will gladly recommend this business to all my friends and coworkers.
The only place in whole Austin where you can buy some Russian/Ukrainian groceries.
Expensive..
Best place and maybe the only in the Austin area for much of the selection that they offer. An extra friendly staff is willing to help you navigate through the racks of Eastern European goodies on the shelves. They also have a plethora of cured meats and wines. Dont forget to check out the freezers for some yummy selections of perogies. The sourcream in the refrigerator section is a must have. Driving by you may miss it because the office center that it is located in is lower than the street. Use Google maps to help you find it. Also the candy section is the best!
The prices here are kind of high.... but Sashas down at SA is a little higher, and most of the goods are imported from EU and cannot be found elsewhere in Austin. A very nice specialty store for eastern European fish, sausage, grains, drinks, cheese, pickles, and candy.
Wonderful commonly overlooked jewel of a store.Check it out but dont let too many people in on itNext thing you know there will be a hipster food trailer lot thereBEM We love you just the way you are
Good verity of Slavic products! Always fresh and delicious caviar, love it !
A good selection of European food and drink! Love 2015 Murfatlar wine
I grew up eating eastern European food. Its so expensive to order on Amazon, and a much smaller amount here. It makes me happy and feels like comfort food.
Great store - love going there!
This place was nice. The people are nice and they have good stuff to buy.
Highly recommended 👍🏼
Being married to a Belorussian girl I have learned to enjoy Eastern European food. BEM is the only place in Austin that offers a wide selection of delicious imported goods. Everything is always fresh. The owners are very friendly and extremely helpful. For those who think they are expensive keep in mind the products travelled first class and a long way to get to your table.
Nice selection of food and beverages, friendly staff :)
Quite and nice! Great service! Clean place! Drove from SM))
Nice store. Liked the polish cookies. Wish they had stuff from Slovakia.
Great place to learn about Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, and Romanian food. Try the Siberian dumplings and very dense bread with tomato-based canned fish. Some interesting teas along with Brazilian Guarana thrown in too...
Awesome store with delicious products.
I felt like I came into Soviet Union store despite very nice and friendly cashier. A lot of russian people were at. And products price. Im not completely sure I gonna pay 2 times more for items from Russia...
Great little market with neatly arranged aisles and extremely friendly and helpful staff ! The lady at the counter was so nice that she actually translated a Russian recipe for Blini for me in to English !
Very friendly, very clean. Great variety of Russian food. Great prices on caviar.
Very good russian food store, a lot of options on serki, chocolates! Really delicious red Georgian wine( Грузинское вино), semi sweet and light!!! Clean place, nice owner and stuff!!!
They have russian kinder eggs, but not german kinder eggs. They have halva, and they have chak-chak!
Good place, many Russian products, chocolate, sweets even my favorite gematogen
Smaller store but I find it good enough. They carry white cheese which is all I care about :-) Im from the Midwest and we had plenty of Polish stores and compared to those this store has slightly higher prices than Im used to.
Amazing how quickly they are growing and expanding their selections! Super helpful staff and excellent customer service!
Best russian foods
A selection of Eastern European food and confections. Prices are low considering the specialization. Very fresh.
The staff is pleasant and helpful. Impressive selection of frozen, pickled, sweet foods. Recommend to all to visit this store.
Lots of Russian products! The clerk will be happy to bring you around and show you what everything is. I suggest the cream cheese candy bars and picked vegetables.
Love this store, such a great selection of good European products. Very nice, friendly and helpful owners and staff.
Great variety of products from different countries and excellent customer service! Keep up the good work, guys!
Nice people that work there.
Awesome selection of Eastern European goodies! Clean layout, quality products. Several different types of birch juice (e.g. sweetened and unsweetened). The freshest tvorozhnaya massa ever!
It was nice to find my favorite Russian candy. They have kvas too!
Best place ❤
Great stuff from Poland and Russia! Cant find this stuff elsewhere. No vodka though!
BEM has the basic favorites that Russians and other Eastern Europeans miss most. There are mostly treats, snacks, sweets, kvas, juices and extras like pickles and jams. There is a small deli and some frozen foods like pilmeni (dumplings) and ice cream treats. The selection is somewhat limited, but this probably helps them keep the offerings fresh. You shouldnt plan on doing all your shopping there, but if you are nostalgic for Eastern Europe or want to try something different, this place fits the bill.By the way, its a little difficult to find the first time. The stores actual name (Borderless European Market) can be easy to miss underneath the large letters BEM which could stand for anything, and it is easy to believe the somewhat industrial looking building relatively far from a typical retail center.
Great finds!! Real kinder eggs😍 and much more! Excellent customer service!
Excellent selection of Russian and East European staples. Sweet stuff us amazing, from candy to syrki (mini cheesecake bars) to seabuckthorn jam (where else will you find it in Austin?)
Best european market in Austin. The cleanest grocery store hands down.
