The new store is amazing. We shopped at the old H‑E‑B by the Y for 15 years so it was bittersweet to see it close…but the new one is *fabulous.* It’s bright, airy, spacious, and loaded with great things the old location didn’t have. I didn’t buy much (I was just orienting myself to the layout), but I loved what I saw. Cheese, produce, bakery, a sushi counter, a huuuge beer and wine section, bulk dry food…this store has a lot going for it.

The new Oak Hill H-E-B is very nice with a huge selection. The selection is so big, in fact, that it feels like they’ve made it a bit cramped. I do not care for the smaller aisles at this location. I don’t like to rub elbows with my fellow shoppers, especially in the age of Covid. Additionally, this location restricts access to people living along 71 in favor of those living on 290.

I love the exterior design of this HEB and I can’t wait to make this my go to area. This HEB is going to be fantastic for the rapidly growing oak hill community. The old oak hill one will be missed but a new one was much needed. Looking forward to it

We were really looking forward to seeing what the newest HEB had to offer. In a nutshell, nothing special. In fact, we had to stop at another HEB on the way home because the new HEB didnt have several items on our short list. It was really disappointing. We wont be back.

Clean and well organized. Better selection of items compared to Escarpment H-E-B. I found the Aloha Hawaiian Soy Sauce there. I normally drive to the Congress/Slaughter H-E-B for it. I’m also glad there is a new light on 1826, so it is easy to turn left out of the parking lot.

Impressive brand new H-E-B probably one of the best in Austin but that’s kinda how it goes when it brand new. H-E-B is the best grocer bar none and this one is spectacular

Ran down to grab lunch. Store was bustling yet I was able to go in, grab + make my purchase in 10 min. Loved it

I love H-E-B so much. The prices are fantastic, the customer service is efficient, and I enjoy the selection of grocery items. I would like to see more organic options, though! Organic prices here are very expensive compared to other grocery chains.

Theyre closing down this store since theyre moving so everything is kind of low stock, but generally theyre a good store overall

I made a quick stop late afternoon to buy 3 items and of course I ended up with 6 items. I was somewhat disappointed they did not have in stock my primary item which was a package of Nestle Tollhouse Oatmeal Raisin cookie dough in the refrigerated section. There did not seem to be enough checkout lines open for 5 pm on a Friday afternoon.

Much bigger than the old Y store, but doesnt feel like it. Reverse layout from most other HEBs.

Love going to an HEB close to home, but the cashier Kaitlyn R is quite rude at this one. She was talking about me to multiple cashiers while I was right there. You might want to keep your mouth shut till the guest leaves next time.

This review is for the pharmacy. I absolutely LOVE the people who work there. Brittany and Melanie are the pharmacists and they are great! Janice, Julie, Jennifer and Jesse are the pharmacy techs and are always ready and eager to help you out with questions you may have, to include the dumb questions.I must mention that Janice is the BEST at finding coupons to help you be able to afford medications that your insurance company doesnt think you need. Or my favorite, when they make the price so high that you need to work five full time jobs to pay for 30 pills.I could go on and on but I feel like people are more likely to leave reviews when they have a bad experience instead of giving compliments when they are due.I love you guys in the pharmacy! Keep up the fantastic customer service!

This my local HEB, I do like it a bunch. Its well stocked, its for a nice fish and meat counter. All the usual supermarket stuff. Its great.

Hard to pull in/out of store, horrible parking. Very rude employees (I was in their way while they were pulling online orders from the shelves). They also do not provide free bags despite there being no bag ban in Austin.

A great little HEB. On the older and smaller side. They are building a new one as we speak at the corner of 1826 and 290 which Im sure it will be great. This one is good to get the basics but lacks some of the premade options you see at a newer stores.

I love HEB, I can’t stand this one, it’s mostly the check out process. There is no self check out, no baggers, and when I was still loading my items on the table the cashier was asking me to put the divider down. I really wish I lived closer to another HEB.

Its OK for an HEB can be very crowded on weekends.Wish they had more selections on almond milks.Wish they had more selections on frozen healthy foods.

This particular location may not have quite as much selection as some are the larger locations, but they honestly have plenty, even if the survivalist stuff, e.g, gluten-free, keto, sugar-free, etc Im always happy not to be walking around in a giant box store! I can get in and out of this location really quickly. Ive always been pleased with the staff, their helpfulness and energy.

I went to the oakhill HEB today and it was good. They had what I was looking for and lots of in-store coupons too. I appreciate that. I do want to save more money. The people who work there are helpful and courteous. I do like the Oakhill HEB.

I had requested a custom cake nothing too extravagant but I needed one ASAP I had ordered a cake 3 days before my daughters birthday on December 4th. I even drew a photo and I was very satisfied and impressed on how the cake came out from the heb bakery. Thank you bakery staff 😊 she loved it.

This is a very old HEB, and soon to open the new one (Already clearing the land) . The purpose of this review is to congratulate HEB for the impressive measures taken to protect the employees and customers. Fast, effective and with care! I feel safe going to HEB during covid times, and appreciate HEB more than ever seeing they care about employees and customers!

Older store but clean and well organized. The staff was kind and helpful as needed. The produce area was small but well stocked. The entire store looked good, fronted and in stock. My first time at this location and I was happy.

It’s the pharmacy i am leaving a review. The store so far I had no problems.So was waiting for my prescription the pharmacist Britney was very rude in talking and had no professionalism . When I had a questions she said “I am busy “in a frustrated tone . This is not it there were something else too but will leave it here.

You can get what you need at a reasonable price, but nothing to write home about. Not a clean place, not a dirty place. Usually there are few lanes checking people out and a lot of customers waiting (from my 5 post-5pm experiences). It may be better at other times. In any case, dont get the small avacados; theyll charge you for jumbo ones regardless. Haha.

As you enter the store, it smelt like a garbage truck had gone past me. Half the tills were unmanned, and worst yet the lights were out on the other half making the store dark.... something like the ones in a zombie movie. ;)

The HEB partners here are really doing a great service to the community and are helping families survive during these crazy winter storms.

I got hydrangea wedding flowers here from their floral department! The manager, Sabrina, was so helpful and she made my wedding day wonderful by creating my husband and Is vision for our wedding flowers. My bridal bouquet and the other floral arrangements were exactly how I picture it to be. The price was amazing and quality was great. I highly recommend their floral department!

Cant wait for this location to open, I will miss the old HEB at the Y since its the place I first met wife, but an upgrade has long been needed and this is technically closer to me.

This store is very small I can never find what I need. Produce is great until employees like sherrie make holes in my tomatoes and eventually follow us home and drive to my kids school to see where we live! Overmy cheatnhusband plus two APD reports, 9 months! Under stay home orders she is still coming out here, going back to work giving everyone else 50/50 chance! Waits and drives around wier hills and rialto white suv, she has many cars apparently.

Kind of dark. Always heard a lot of great things about HEB but wasnt really impressed.

Everyone around town calls it the dirty B. It used to smell like rotten fish. I have it another chance on a whim bc traffic was jammed and I wanted to stay local. It has gotten so much better. Its much cleaner and fairly well stocked. Cheers to 2nd chances keep, up the good work.

Walked into the store for the first time, with an HEB bag and filled my bag with groceries, walked to checkout and was accused of stealing by the manager named breanna, I was on the phone and I asked her why she accused me of stealing? I put everything on the belt and asked if she wanted to look in my bag but she said no, but stood and stared at me the entire time I checked out. All the employees stared at me like I was stealing! I was so offended, just shopping late night for a last minute dinner. First time in that store and definitely my last! Breanna should maybe undergo some new training.

Personal are always nice and upbeat. Shop there a lot.

I went up an order from the pharmacy for a customer. The lady at the counter was rude. Sorry for existing. They had 2 days to fill the order before hand. So now I get the attitude and Im the one waiting.

There is a special place in hell for heb parking lot designers. This designer would be tortured be the other ones I suspect... long and short no.

Normally people here are really helpful and kind. Today there was a young woman named Rachel who was a cashier there (her tag said she had been there a year at least) who totally ignored me when I went into her line (there was no other customer there and her cashier light was on) and she was wiping her belt down. I said, Hello audibly, she kept wiping so I put my one item down on the belt and tried making eye contact with her but she still kept wiping like I wasnt even there. I said, Ooook ? And I had to take my sunscreen and go to the next line because it didnt seem like she was going to stop cleaning and even acknowlege me whether I was there or not.A man named Will was working at the front door and he was kind and acknowledged me and I appreciated that.

I wont go here when management does not care to have medical dogs in the Establishment and has a problem with them being in the store. When I never had a problem before for the last 4 years

This HEB location is very small with low selections of organic products and does not have self checkout lanes. Homeless people are allowed to panhandle outside, during a COVID 19 pandemic. The store smells like rotten food, at times. HEB employees are outside the store smoking 🚬 & I hate the terrible second hand smoke, as I walked by thier picnic table to enter the store . 😷I dont feel safe shopping at this HEB location.

My boyfriend and I just left HEB and I had to pull out my phone before leaving the parking lot to leave this review. I was that blown away. I just want to say Ive never seen a cashier engage and care about his customers like I did today with ours. Also overheard the conversation with the person in front of us and was so impressed. The guy is polite, insanely intelligent and shows a great example of the time you put into grooming your employees. He mentioned going back to college after this weekend In their conversation. It would be really cool if you guys could help him out with that somehow. Its people like him that keep this great company alive! Tyler H, keep it up bud!!

Told my family to only shop here if possible as they had guidelines in place fast giving me a sense of safety for buying food. Always friendly, helpful. Smaller HEB but they know how to keep it stocked and the staff are very friendly and helpful. If it werent so far away Id make it my main grocery shopping spot.
