We visit Cups and Cones about once a week! We love the Blue Bell ice cream options and the Amy’s ice cream options too. They now have “Blueberry Pop Tart” flavor! The owner, Rick, was kind enough to tell me to try it and it did not disappoint! My son loves the made in house shaved ice! I have heard Rick’s scones are amazing too. The selection of pastries is impressive for a small business.We were already in Steiner when Cups and Cones opened 14 years ago. We have watched Rick and Kristi work lonnnnnng hours each week to keep their business thriving. I have never seen either of them appear frustrated with the plethora of elementary and middle school kids that come in daily. I’ve actually marveled at their patience for indecision and complicated orders when their is a line waiting. If you are in a hurry the hours right after school might not be your sweet spot, but if you have time to sit back and watch a fun little community hive come to Cups and Cones. They even have local art and cute boutique type stuff too!I could go on and on, but suffice to say that this place IS a Steiner Ranch treasure, but we come mostly because the food and service are great!

Cups and Cones is part of the heart of the Steiner community. Owners are always volunteering and supporting schools. Kids love to meet there for all celebratory ice cream treats! Our family enjoys picking up breakfast tacos. Sometimes we stop in for a cool down drink when out hiking around the neighborhood. Love that the owners also try to support and hire the teens in the community.

My daughter and I go in regularly after I pick her up from Montessori. They are always friendly and have a good selection of ice cream for my 3 year old. My husband loves their Philly sandwich. On a separate note, they were very behind one day and I had recently delivered my second baby. The owner BROUGHT MY ORDER TO MY HOUSE which was so fantastic since my newborn was hungry and waiting for me. Thank you cups and cones for being a neighborhood staple.

Cups and Cones and their owners Kristi and Rick are the absolute best. It is a great place to go hang out to read a book or grab coffee, lunch or ice cream with family or friends. I go for coffee and a muffin after morning walks, lunch with friends or ice team cones with my kids. I have also worked with Kristi and Rick to purchase healthy affordable box lunches for local school sports teams on event days, deliver food they have donated to Mobile Loaves and Fishes, hold a holiday toy drive for needy children and countless other projects. They are always open to ways to support our community and those in need. Steiner Ranch wouldn’t be the same without them.

We absolutely love Cups and Cones! The owners are a pillar in this community, always going out of their way to support local events and schools, serving droves of middle school kids, and opening their space for hundreds of meetings, events, kids activities and more. It’s definitely a family friendly space with a place for toddlers, little kids, teens and adults! They have a plethora of local gifts available as well as fun treats and excellent food options.

Cups & Cones defines the term neighborhood place. Friends of all ages- from preschool to seniors- are warmly greeted when we meet there to enjoy one anothers company. The owners always go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. The food is great, and the friendly atmosphere makes it a centerpiece of Steiner Ranch. From their involvement in Concert in the Park to supporting activities and schools, our neighborhood is so lucky that they chose Steiner!

This place is amazing! The food is good, there is super cute shopping inside, and its an all around wonderful community hangout. If youre anywhere close to the four point area, I suggest stopping by and checking them out. Steiner wouldnt be nearly as great without Cups and Cones. I cant say enough great things about them!

We love Cups & Cones. Rick and Kristi are great and I’m usually in there 1-2x per week to snag a quick lunch. We also use them for catering at River Ridge via the PTA and they’ve done a stand up job. The food is really good for what they aim to position themselves as.

So grateful to have a place to pick up a quick coffee, sweet treat, or even a full meal. Cups and Cones not only serves our neighborhood, but they deliver delicious lunches to our schools’ teachers as well! I can’t imagine the amount of time it takes to run a shop like Cups and Cones, but I’m sure glad we have it here in Steiner!

Cups and Cones is by far…. The most friendly, accommodating, multi use eatery around ! The owners are the glue that holds our community together !!! At one time or another, most of us have been to Cups and Cones for Treats, Tacos, gifts and so many more things. Sometimes we just pop in to get a water and catch up.All communities should be so fortunate to have a Cups and Cones in their area!!!!

Love Cups and Cones - they are an integral part of the community. On the weekend we picked up a couple of muffins and they were some of the best I’ve ever had! Their paninis are amazing too.

If in Steiner, be sure to stop by! They make THE BEST Italian sandwich ever! In search of a unique gift be sure to shop their store as they support local artists and neighbors. :)

We love cups and cones! I have 2 middle schoolers that love going there and Rick and Kristi are always delightful. Its the heart of the community and Im so grateful its close by!

This is an amazing local ice cream shop. Please don’t go with the notion of going to a fancy cafe though. My daughter went the other day with a group of friends and I was in my car making sure they weren’t doing anything wrong. It was 12 kids, and they were being respectful and all bought something from the store. They weren’t being loud or disturbing to others but STILL, the owners were very rude and kicked them out. The two girls working there were very kind when later that afternoon, after the kids just decided to leave and go towards the fountain to avoid further trouble with the owners, went back into the shop asking to sit down because it was hot out and their heads were starting to hurt. Over all,- The kids weren’t doing anything wrong and don’t have their backpacks in any area where they could steal- The owners were being very rude towards a kind, respectful, and just overall good group of middle schoolers- The employees were amazingTo finish this up, I just want to say yes please support this shop, but the owners could be more kind to a group of kids trying to do their homework in a nice atmosphereAlso, thank you to the two amazing girls working at this shop. You are so kind and compassionate ❤️

They are the kindest, most selfless (to a fault), compassionate people I know… They give and give and give. They are the heart of Steiner Ranch; they do absolutely everything they can for the community. They provide endless support of the schools, offer classes, tutoring by HS students, boutique shopping by Pharehaven Phancy and other local artisans, to making sure no family goes hungry…we are BLESSED to have them! Our children owe them thousands of happy memories and we will continue to support them…through thick and thin! I hope you will too!

I have had Cups and Cones cater some of our business events, pre and post pandemic. I have found their services to be absolutely the best AND their food is really good too!! They set up a hot chocolate bar for one of our winter events, have provided light sandwiches and lemonade for our clinics not to mention their super good desserts. Give them a try they will NOT disappoint. Will be using them again and again!

Steiner Ranch is so lucky to have a place like Cups n Cones!! A wonderful family friendly atmosphere with yummy food. It has a wide variety of food options for your family. Tacos and pancakes for breakfast, a Mona Lisa, salads and hamburger for lunch and of course ice cream for dessert. I am guilty of stopping by multiple times during the day.It is really great place to meet up with friends, work or even have a meeting.It is truly a staple of the community!

Love Cups and Cones! It does not get better than this place and very family friendly. Their burgers are amazing. Our family also does the family dinners which are delicious and gives momma a few nights off from cooking each week. Awesome place with great people working there.

Good local joint with great lunch food, ice cream and atmosphere

We ordered two drinks and the employee didn’t say a word the whole time we ordered. She didn’t seem to know what she was doing and we waited about 15 minutes while she played on her phone and ate ice cream. When she finally brought the drinks both of our orders were wrong.

Charming. Really good ice cream. The medium doesnt look all that large. Looks are deceiving! I would have been happy with the small (though somehow I managed to finish it.

Cups and Cones is the unofficial community center of Steiner Ranch. The owners, Rick and Kristi, are wonderful people and always ready to help in any way they can. Ive held countless meetings and trainings at C&C, and not only are we welcome but they also set up tables for us! Besides that, its a great place to grab a meal, coffee, snack or ice cream. Their new salads are amazing! I recommend the Greek salad, add chicken.

My kids love this place! So kid friendly and very old school neighborhood atmosphere. My kids just walk there and get a treat.

The coffee and ice cream are both good, which you would expect from a place with this moniker. The breakfast tacos are bland, but the kolaches are good. Lunch menu is okay. Decent options for food on the go.

I grew up going to C&C, and I’m so pleased to see they expanded their menu! We got breakfast tacos, a kolache and an omelette and everything tasted amazing. The omelette was very fresh, the tortillas for the tacos were great, I can’t say enough good things about this place. Thank you for the years of consistently great service!

So this place is more of a homy type place. Dont think elegant cafe, more like quick place to grab some food and maybe sit down for a bit. Food is well, like deli food, not super food but not to bad either. One cool think is they have a great selection of books you can read or your child can read while hanging out.

I’m really sorry, but besides the Cafe Latte and the Piccata (?) everything else was horrible 😳. We (2 adults, one child) visited Cups and Cones on December 28th in the early afternoon and we were the only guests at that time.- the regular coffee was so bad... I even don‘t want to tell you how bad it was. I throw it away and ordered a Latte as my wife.- the 2 girls were friendly, but we got the impression they have their first day in the shop?- our sons sandwich 🥪 was cold (maybe our fault?), we expected it to be toasted- the fries were „raw“ at the inside when they arrived ( maybe 5 minutes after I finished my burger)- we through them away- seriously: 2 stars are fair for that visit.

A great place to take kids. My twins are 3 years old and they love the toys this place provides. They get to eat ice cream and drip it everywhere while they play with toys. And dad doesnt have to clean up!

Go here several times a week to work or have meetings, have playdates with my young kids, and generally enjoy how easy it is to eat whatever from their wide menu selection of coffees, ice cream, breakfast or full plate meals. I also how versitle the venue is to serving professionals, mommies, teens, event catering at schools, churches, and retirement facilities. I also like that they are open early and stay open late. Cups and Cones is Steiners family home & kitchen. Toys for the kids, Mr. Rudys programming, pop-up clothing boutique, art & language lessons, the works. Everyone can feel welcome and does with the owners Rick and Christie making everyone feel important and cared for. Recently, my order was misplaced (first time in years of patroning) and Christie profusely apologized and then gave me a food voucher. That was over the top & very kind. Grateful we have this place so close to home. Feel very grateful.

Kristine and Rick are amazing. They have art, Amy’s ice cream, breakfast and lunch. They have even started making dinner if you preorder. This is your family diner with caring owners and neighbors.

When they actually have food, it is pretty good. The problem is 90% of the time that I go there, they are out of breakfast tacos, kolaches, danishes, etc. They need to stock up a little. If you go here after 8am, dont bother, chances are they wont have what you want.

The decore is comfy cozy, although they did not have fries they had the best philly cheesesteak Ive had in Forever. If thats not enough for you I asked if it was possible just to get half a sandwich even though its not on their menu which resulted in an of course no problem. The owners are welcoming as well as accommodating. I absolutely loved my time here. You can just as easily scrapbook and craft as you can whip out a book and start reading. The atmosphere is laid-back typical Austin.

They are the heart of the Steiner Ranch community.My dog and I go for a sausage kolache (or sausage wrap, or breakfast taco or pretzel dog or donut or fruit danish) and coffee at least 5 mornings a week. It is a great way to break up a long dog walk, and prices are very affordable.There are plenty of tables inside and outside, and water available for dogs. Steiner Ranch folks, as well as people from neighboring developments, have business meetings, bring their kids to art class or for story-telling time, and stay to organize neighborhood events. There is a special kids section with toys to keep them occupied. They have comfortable furniture and even a library if you need to chill with a book and cup of coffee. They serve as the meeting place for walking and biking groups.C&C has pre-packaged lunch box salads and sandwiches, ice cream, snow cones, all kinds of pastries from great bakeries (like Russells!), serve yourself coffee, special Starbucks-type coffees, teas, soup, oatmeal, cold and hot sandwiches which they will make for you, chips, and now they have a grill for burgers! They also have fountain drinks, bottled drinks/juices of all kinds.The family and their staff are always welcoming and work hard from early morning until after dark. They also allow C&C to serve as a community center for charitable giving such as wounded veterans and CASA. They are good people!And to Kyle who inspired me to brag on my Cups and Cones, Im sorry you were disappointed in not being able to get exactly what you wanted on a particular day. As you can see from my review, there is ALWAYS food at C&C - and it is all delicious!
