Go for the experience. The vibes are nice and there’s a lawn area to kind of hang around right outside. The ice cream isn’t anything you won’t find elsewhere in Austin but the cookies were definitely good and the combination makes it a really tasty late night snack! Good combo of nice atmosphere and good food. Only downside is that it’s hard to find. Had to ask around to find the place (it’s kinda hidden).

Epic! You can mix and match your cookies to make an ice cream sandwich, you can even have them make one with one cookie & one brownie if you’re going for the ultimate cheat day! They will also heat the cookie or brownie for you in their special cookie press that somehow heats the cookie / brownie without melting the ice cream - it will remind you miracles are possible. Definitely have a look at their “Cookie Of the Month” - I had a life changing experience with the mexican hot chocolate cookie for May, blackberry crumble ice cream and a sea salt peanut butter chocolate chip for the bottom. It was heaven! Decadent - but you knew that already!Also - if you’re not trying to go over board, split an ice cream sandwich with someone else, they’re huge and you can ask them to cut it in half!

My wife enjoyed hers but I thought it was so-so. The cookies are typical mass production, large, and mildly undercooked to keep them mushy, but nothing overly special. I thought the ice cream in mine (mint chocolate chip) was also just “ok”, nothing special. I think they would benefit from providing some suggested pairings of cookies and ice cream, maybe a few signature flavors, because maybe I just didn’t select the best pairing. Make sure to get napkins.

Best cookies ever!!!!! Perfect size for me. Thin, moist, fun flavors. They were pretty affordable. We got 6 for $7. Ordered the cookie monster(didnt make it in the picture), gooey butter something (didnt make it in the picture) funfetti, cookies and cream and chocolate chip cookies. They were all amazing!!! They also have a pre-packed assorted cookies from a day ago that they sell for only $7. Next time Ill probably get one of those and just warm it up in the oven when Im craving for something sweet at home.

It was small & a little hard to find (you have to come off Cesar Chavez at Nueces and park in a very tight limited parking & walk over, next to Trader Joes). They wouldnt serve me & their ice cream & cookies were high priced, but werent all that good. I support their right to require masks even though the CDC clearly says if you’re vaccinated, masks or distancing is not required. In response to their virtue signaling, I am exercising my right not to buy from them. Others in my party did though & I honestly thought the ice cream & cookies were not all that great (hardly average), especially considering the steep pricing. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Extremely disappointed in the ice cream! My husband and I split a cookie sandwich which was 2 chocolate chip cookies and old fashioned vanilla ice cream warmed. It was definitely not warmed- maybe the press wasn’t working or they don’t heat them very long but it wasn’t warm as I was expecting. The cookies were decent but nothing special. It was the ice cream that really has made me decide I will never be back. The old fashioned vanilla was on the softer side- more like a custard or soft serve- but I haven’t had a more fake tasting ice cream. I love all kinds of ice cream- even when it’s half decent I still eat it all- this one I refused to take another bite. I simply ate one of the cookies and was done. Maybe it was the flavor we chose and should have done a faster first but vanilla is such a classic flavor it really shouldn’t taste the way it did.The store itself was nice with cute decor, an easy to understand menu and displayed all of the cookies and toppings. The staff were also friendly and working hard to keep the line moving. The toilet needed to be fixed as you had to reach your hand inside to pull the cord.As I said above due to the ice cream I will not be returning.

Omg I just had an amazing experience at the Baked Bear, I wish I would have gotten the names of the employees. I believe it was the manager and a very nice girl with blonde hair. They brighten my whole day, and let’s not get started on the amazing and bold flavors! Also the place smells like heaven ! 10/10 would definitely recommend and go again!!

Wow! What a great place! The cookie sandwich is huge and the price affordable! It was hard to do but I finished mine! I wasn’t expecting and was very pleased with the courtyard as well!!! Children, dogs, and family having a great time in the spacious outdoor area. Grab your kids, dogs and family and check it out. Some children were even playing ball in the courtyard. Park in the parking garage. The parking staff were friendly and helpful. The Baked Bear validated our parking ticket! Pleased all the way around!

I’m not sure how this place has a 4.7 rating. Completely underwhelming and terrible customer service. My husband asked for a cookie bowl and the girl made a brownie bowl. She got an attitude when he said I’m sorry I asked for a cookie bowl. I asked if they could heat my brownie since it was luke warm at best. They said no, it stays on a hot plate. Ummm okay, so the bottom of the container is warm that’s about it. We were the only 2 people in the store it’s not like they were busy.

We worked with Daniel Manzur at The Baked Bear in Austin, TX to cater our wedding and it was a fabulous experience! Everyone loved the novelty of our ice cream sandwich bar, plus Daniel and his team were awesome to work with. They even made sure to reserve several ice cream sandwiches for my partner and I who werent able to enjoy ours during the evening. The staff seem to enjoy helping customers choose and are patient and a nice outdoor space outside to enjoy your choice. The cookies and ice cream themselves are what youd expect, but fun as the novelty of choosing.

We love the Baked Bear! The turf area outside is a great place to chill, eat your ice cream, and people watch. They will even cut your ice cream sandwich down the middle to split between 2 people which you will want to do because the sandwiches are huge!

Then you can get your choice of topping around the edge if you so desire. The sandwiches are large and a tad difficult to eat so grab a spoon, it’ll help.They will give you a parking validation good for one hour to the garage off of Walter Seaholm Dr. Their location is in the interior courtyard of the retail area (essentially behind Trader Joe’s).

First time customers. Location was nestled in a cute little area welcoming to dog lovers. Several different cookie and ice cream choices. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Allowed us to try several ice cream flavors before deciding. Cookies and ice cream were delicious. Parked in garage, but store validated ticket for one hour parking. Would recommend at least 1 visit as it reminds you of Austin.

The inside staff was the upmost respectful. She took her time with me. I let her know I was going to taste everyone then make an informed decision. She was all game. So I ended up with a chocolate chip cookie with butter cream and peanut butter chocolate with sea salt cookie with mini chocolate chips and Nutella. So freaking good. I’m glad I still have about a mile of biking this was a sweet little snack. I will advise you it can be pricey the least you will be spending is around $6 with taxes. Be prepared. Hey accept cash and card which is a plus. The place is tidy and clean.

Delicious! I had the butter cookie and dont recall the ice cream flavor. It was blue and I think it was supposed to be sweet cream. The service was great and she hooked me up so I could walk and eat at the same time. I ate on it 3 different times. I was glad mt hotel had a fridge so I could save it and snack on it. Good portion! If I go back to Austin, I will go back for some more.

My mom on the other hand enjoyed the salted caramel ridge ice cream with white chocolate macadamia cookies.They do offer vegan ice cream, just missing the cookies. Was having a sweet tooth late after checking out the Grove downtown and found this place on maps. I had walked by here before when checking out the Seaholm District and it struck my eye, but didn’t stop. Google and Yelp gave good recommendations to this place and so I decided to give a try. The place was pretty popular and there was a line the entire time we were there. There was only 1 person working which made line go much longer than I believed it should have, but it did give me the time needed to make my decision which usually takes a while. I decided on getting the baked brownie bowl with the bear butter ice cream which was a dessert made in heaven. A bit pricey, $15 for two desserts, but I would have to say well worth it. I don’t plan to come here often, but can definitely see myself coming again eventually!

My friend and I raced on our scooters to get here by 11pm and we got there 11:03. As “those customers” we asked if we could order. We would literally take scraps and they didn’t give us scraps, they gave us THE BEST chocolate and vanilla delight ever. Little did they know it was my birthday, and they made our night:,)

My husband Will has come here before while on a business trip. We are visiting from out of town for our honeymoon and he loves this dessert so much, he took me immediately after we checked into the hotel. I had the smores ice cream. I wish we had one of these awesome lovely places in our home town, but I guess well just have to visit more!

This is located in the Seaholm Power Plant development area and is right next to Trader Joe’s and True Food Kitchen.The service was courteous and enthusiastic. I will definitely be coming here many more times to sample the different options for cookies and ice cream…

I cant honestly say the cookies here are good. I havent tried their Ice Cream so it could be amazing and I just missed out, but I absolutely do not recommend visiting if you just want cookies or brownies.

This was excellent. I got a bear bowl (warmed brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream), and it was perfectly warmed so that the ice cream melted, but not too fast, especially since they give you a mountain of ice cream! You can mix and match brownies and cookies and ice cream flavors to make an ice cream sandwich, plus there are a bunch of toppings for a little extra.

The Baked Bear is a great place to build your own ice cream sandwiches. They have a wide variety of ice creams and cookies. My favorite ice cream is birthday cake and my favorite cookies are red velvet, cookies & cream, and hot chocolate. Ive been here twice and have left highly satisfied both times!

I had to go try this place after seeing the advertisements on the paper and people posting pictures on Instagram. If it wasn’t because this place had great staff, owners, and it was dog friendly... I’d be giving it 3 stars. The cookie itself is tasty (If you like them chewy/underbaked) but the Ice Cream is akin to store brand ice cream which is just not very good and you get far too much ice cream in the ice cream sandwich which means you can’t eat it with your hands without everything going everywhere. I also felt the pricing was too high at around 6.50 with a cookie and one topping. I surely wouldn’t pay it again. Adding one topping is 50 cents which is crazy for about a spoonful of cereal. I know people have this obsession with going to places just to take pictures of the items and while the item is pretty... it’s just not worth it for the price. Rent must be crazy expensive here though so I understand why they are priced as they are. There’s just significantly better ice cream places and better cookie places like Tiff’s Treats. Parking was easy and the location is stunning. Loved that they have treats for your dogs! If I went back I’d ask to just put half the amount of ice cream even if I am charged the same, I would have enjoyed the sandwich more that way. I recommend buying just the cookies here and making your own sandwiches at home with your favorite ice cream.

The service is what really stands out here. My kid asked for like a thousand cups of water (more like 2) and they gladly accommodated him. These guys deserve a tip for taking care of you. Highly recommend for the ornate cookie sandwiches alone.

We walked in but two other couples walked in before us so we were kinda sad because the line was kinda long in front of us and we were really anticipating our ice cream cookie sandwiches. But then the line moved, didnt move super fast, but it moved at like a good pace. they have some pretty unique flavors, I got salted caramel fudge and my girlfriend got French toast flavored ice cream and they both tasted really good. Hers tastes like cinnamon toast crunch. Yum! Their cookies are good but not like crazy good, like weve had better cookies before but that doesnt matter because the focus is the sandwich as a whole.

On Saturday, August 15th, my family and I came into The Baked Bear (Austin) to finish off our girls trip as we headed back to Houston. I was one of the last people to enter the building because it was nine of us. There was a young lady behind the counter prepping something so I assumed that she had already told us that she would be right with us. A family member of mine stated that no one has greeted us or said anything. Me being me, I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt and stated well maybe she doesnt see us. As soon as I said that, the young lady turned around and looked at all nine of us and ignored us and continued on with what she was doing. My family said, lets just go. As we were walking out another young lady came from the back of the buildingand greeted us and asked was everything okay. My family member informed her that we stood there for the longest and the young lady never greeted us or acknowledged us as if we werent human beings or as if we were invisible. As we were talking to the kind young lady, the other young lady rolled her eyes and went back to whatever she thought was more important. We of course took our hard earned money over to the Nekter Juice Bar where we were greeted with a smile and great customer service. We will never go back to The Baked Bear (Austin) and will never recommend anyone else to go. We will never be insulted like that ever again.
