Regal Plastics helped recently with a project for Austin Pets Alive!. They donated their time and services to help us with custom pieces for the dog doors on our new tiny homes. The turnaround time was swift and they were so easy to work with, not to mention the generosity to do this for our non-profit organization. We really appreciate it!! Here are some pictures of our first resident, Zydeco, and him using the custom dog door like a pro. :)
I needed a small piece of very rigid plastic to make a router table fence. They had just the thing on their shelf, and the manager, Ian, was kind enough to comp me it to me. Thank you!!
I was met at the front by Ian who was being covid safe, wearing a mask and asked what could be help me out with.Long story short, Ian went above and beyond with his help and expertise that I will definitely come back again for my plastic needs.Highly recommend regal plasticsMark
Incredible service! They go above and beyond to make sure the customer is first over profits! Great company. Ian was great help for my situation. The store front is closed but Ian was able to help me from a social distance outside taking great care and precautions to keep his employees safe. Thank you.
I found Regal Plastics through my search of trying have a piece of 56x28 ABS plastic bent. I had called various shops around Austin and was told I would either get a call back (which I never did) or that the turn around time would be over a month. I finally called Regal Plastics and Chaese Strelz answered the phone.I explained the project to Chaese and he, without hesitation, said we can do it, send me your schematic, when do you want it back by? From that first call Chaese was extremely responsive and made to sure to understand every detail. I brought the piece down to them and within a week, it was bent perfectly to my specifications. He also introduced me to his Machinist Neil Griffith.I was so impressed with the work Regal Plastics, Chaese, and Neil provided, I decided to continue using them for the rest of my project. From this point forward, I had them cut multiple 1/4 acrylic plates with beveled and smoked edges and internal pockets for LEDs. Every idea I brought to them, they understood perfectly. Every time I came into the shop, I was greeted with a handshake and a good conversation. Every piece requested was machined with precision.I cannot speak highly enough of Regal Plastics. Its my opinion that if you can keep quality employees around like Chaese Strelz and Neil Griffith, you are doing something right. I will continue to recommend them and continue to go back to them for future projects! Thank you for helping turn my ideas into reality!
The company itself is fine, provides a good product, but its easy to find comparable products at lower price points in the area. Additionally, Ian should take some customer service courses or something. There is absolutely no need to talk down to a client just because they ask clarifying questions about their order. If you love being condescended to about plastics, Ian is your man.
These guys are the real deal -- an incredibly professional operation. In fact, I havent seen a more well-run business in a long time, maybe ever. Most people dont get it: take care of your employees, and they will take care of you. These guys get it. I needed some complex CNC cuts of HDPE for a design that I sent them in November 2019. Literally, no other business in Austin or San Antonio could comprehend my request. These guys said, sure, you can pick everything up this afternoon. I picked up the cuts, and they gave me an extra uncut half-sheet, which came in very handy when building my prototype. There is an old video of it in action on my website (before numerous upgrades, as it is much improved nowadays, but you get the idea).
My company and I have nothing but positive things to say about Regal Plastics. Ian and the team have been so helpful and timely with all our requests. They are always willing to work with us, and help us get what we need.
Retail lobby is closed but it does not say that anywhere on the web page.Called from In front of store to try to purchase products; their inventory computers don’t function. So they can barely tell me if they have anything in stock. And they don’t have simple supplies like GatorFoam (listed on their web page) in stock. This was a wasted trip. Best to shop elsewhere.
Ive been working with Regal Plastics for over a year now for a wide range of projects related to my wedding signage business. The prices are fair and the team is always flexible with my timelines. Thanks to Ian and the team for always taking care of me!
I ordered an office patrician for my Chiropractic office several weeks ago and the turn around time was great. The plexiglas fit perfect and it took about 30 minutes to install. I Highly recommend Regal Plastics for your needs. The pricing was surprisingly cost effective
Great customer service! Worked with Ian Nicley who went above and beyond to help fulfill our plexiglass needs!
I just found this place recently and theyre great. Chaese was the one helping me with my purchase and he was very helpful. I needed the pieces cut down to fit in my car and they did it in less than 10 minutes. So definitely fast service as well. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back for future purchases.
Been working with Regal Plastics now for years in my commercial mural business and have to say Regal treats me like royalty. Always there to help with questions, fast service, courteous, professional, and friendly service. Plus they know their stuff. Cant hope for a better partner to help grow a business or get a project done with the right product for a wide spectrum of applications and uses. Their products are the surface on which nearly a score of outdoor murals in Austin, San Antonio and Houston are created on.
Very friendly sales staff. We dealt with Ian. He helped us make sure we were getting the right product before he took our payment. Highly recommended!!! Thanks Ian!
Ian at Regal Plastics will tell you to look up their address when you call and ask for it. If Ian doesnt want to answer customers questions without condicending lectures about how long they have been in business or how the internet works maybe he shouldnt answer the phone.
I recently broke the glass eye shield on my grind. Chaese was great. He had the exact size of clear acrylic waiting at the front desk for me when arrived.Great customer service and great product. Thank you
I recently went in needing something colorful & creative for an interior design project I was working on. Who knew plastic came in so many colors! Sean was super helpful. I had some blue acrylic and acrylic mirror cut down to the sizes I needed same day! Will definitely be back for my next project.
Great customer service and good prices too. I just needed a small piece of acrylic and they custom cut it for me. I’ll use them again!
First time buying from this distributor. Chase helped me find the right acrylic for my project and got the pieces I needed cut quickly. Great first experience. Will certainly use again for my next project. Thanks Chase!
These folks are excellent to work with. Great customer interactions. I give them the best reviews possible.
Working with Brett, Chis and Ian was a great experience and Regal is definitely my go to for plastics from now on. They have have had everything ready on time as promised and with other vendors had the customer service they do! Great job guys and I look forward to working with Regal.
Derek is such an awesome person! One of the nicest salesman I have ever worked with. A great place to do business.
Received top-notch service from Chaese. He was super helpful and friendly. Couldnt be happier with our polycarbonate.
Great and helpful folks.... reasonable price and superb service. Lance is my Go To Rep!Augie
They are not fully equipped with “vaccum” mold machinery to do rounded edges and corners. I said that I didn’t mind if the product I needed was made with corners. At this point he said that’s fine but “your looking at several hundred dollars” and began to explain they didn’t have the machines to do rounded edges there. He then said it would be an estimate of $200-450. He made me feel like I was just wasteing his time with my measly request. Would recommend better customer care.
Always so impressed with their friendliness no matter how small the project I bring them.
(edited) I always feel guilty when I write a bad review so heres another thats more factual with less commentary and frustration. So here it is: Youll get what you paid for, just -- in my experience-- if you dont double check the measurements of the material they give you when you pick it up, expect to have to drive all the way back in order to get the correct measurements. One time I had to go back twice because the original pieces were cut wrong, and then the correction pieces were cut wrong. Both times they gave me free plexi for my trouble, but the second time I went back, they joked youre just back for more free plexi, arent you ha ha ha ha. Which I know was a joke, but it was already awkward and I already (for some reason) felt guilty and bad for them that someone kept screwing up my order... because I dont want to get anyone in trouble-- and I know somebody is getting in trouble if they mess up an order and have to give someone free plexi... nothings free so its coming out of someones paycheck... and that makes me feel really guilty!! but I do need the correct measurements because all my blueprints and sketches are based off the idea that I was going to be able to get pieces with the measurements I had planned for. But that was a while ago. It was just frusturating because it was like they were implying that I wanted them to screw up my order, when the reality was that I really wished that I had just gotten what I ordered the first time around. I dont need free plexi-- in fact I still have the free plexi they gave me since its this bright yellow color that Ive never found the inspiration to use. Also theyre really far away from where Im at, so its kind of a big deal for me to go up there... I dunno-- that comment just made me feel really slimy... I know it was a joke but anyway... The reason why I am writing this review now is that the order that I picked up a week ago again had an error in measurement. I had neglected to double check the dimensions before using a saw to cut the plexi, so I only found out when I began welding my project together... Gosh-- how frusturating!! So then I called them and they apologized and told me to come back so they could trade the pieces out-- but I told them that I had already cut it so I asked them if I could just send them a photo with a ruler proving the piece was the wrong measurements and if they could just adjust my order price. They agreed and so I did and they presumably adjusted the charge on my credit card (I havent checked to make sure yet but Im sure they probably did). After that I started thinking about how irritating it is that now my measurements are all wonky on my project now, so I wrote an impassioned review expressing my frustrations. I always feel badly when I write a bad review because reviews really do have real world implications... So heres a revised review thats a little less heated. Im writing this to let other people know that its probably best to double check the measurements before you drive off. And definitely before you start cutting the material. And also to let this business know that they maybe need to start being more careful when measuring things. Honestly, I screw up measuring things all the time in my work-- so I totally get it. I always check like 5 times when measuring things; I know thats unrealistic for yall since you guys probably have to cut and fill like a 100 orders a day-- so I can totally see how mis-measuring things could become a common problem. Or maybe its not a common problem and Im just unlucky! I hope this review isnt gonna get anyone in trouble-- I just think its something yall need to work on. Take care.
Purchased an acrylic sheet for a large picture. It fit perfectly. Thank you Ian and Sean.
These people were wonderful. They quoted a fair price over the phone, and they told me Id probably have to wait about thirty minutes once I chose the Plexi-glass tint. They charged the price I had been quoted, and my wait time was closer to 10 minutes than to 30!!!The next time I need Plexi-glass, I will call Regal Plastics immediately. They have a royal name, and I was treated like royalty!
I have used Regal Plastics in Austin for many yearsand have always gotten my order in a timely manner and correct.their prices are very reasonable and they have many services to offerthe customer such as: CNC cutting, Laser etching, custom fabricationto go with the many products they carry.I will continue to use Regal Plastic and will tell all my friends and colleguesto use them.
Great employees, always have a good time ordering material
The staff at Regal are always friendly and helpful. I call them often with rush orders and Im always taken care of.
Amazingly helpful and interested in educating their customers. I always look forward to doing business with them.
Called at 4:30pm and was told they couldnt help me because they would be closed by 5 and making one single 5 second cut on a 100$ order was not going to happen. I am under a deadline so I left a CC number and asked MARK to make sure the order was done 1st thing in the morning so I could get the job done. Next day I finally called around 11:30 to see when it was going to be ready after no one had called me. They told me on the phone that it was ready. I get there and it was not ready, they had to cut it while I waited. Mark did not tell anyone to get the job done in the morning like he promised me he would so no one called ....If customer service is important to them why didnt they just make the simple cut in the 30 minutes they had before closing the previous day instead of wasting so much of my time before my deadline? The guy who cut the plastic for me was nice and tried his best to smooth things over.
Best counter service ever!
They are the friendliest staff I have found in Austin for Sign Shops, honestly the prices are ok, sometimes they are very competitive, but what makes me goes back is the smile and the way that the personal takes care of your orders.Sign Depot ATX
This is a great place to get supplies for signs
Awsome place! Derek very helpful!
Been a customer for many years. Been frustrated with orders cut wrong, or come over to pickup and orders were not done. Found a different supplier.
Didn’t cut my plexi to the size I asked for :/Caused some considerable trouble for my project.
Regal team is great
Service and quality is excellent
