Do not recommend. Just like many of the other reviews here, they didn’t show up on the date set and when I called, they tried to deny that they gave me this date. There’s other options in the area. I recommend using them.
If I could give zero stars I would. They changed management a few years ago and since then response time and supply is next to never. Time after time we call in a request and they give out false delivery dates and our family has constantly been without hot water, heating, or ability to cook.
Worst service ever. Paid weeks ago for a refill, gas unexpectedly ran out with the severe winter storm. We are freezing with no hot water for several weeks. Couldnt get through on the phone, once we finally did they said theyd be here on Wednesday. Its now Friday with a no show. My wife called and it turned out they didnt even have us on the schedule. Theyll take your money but not show up. Little to no notification or communication. Taking it to the BBB and the press. Local TV channel has expressed interest and it turns out there are many that are in our position.
Terrible company. They never come when they say and dont seem to care at all about customers. They never answer the phone and give you the run around when they do. We called 2 weeks before the big winter storm for a fill and here we are, a month later and no propane. We had no heat during that mess. 37 degrees inside. They constantly do this every damn time. Id rather walk around in a soggy diaper as a grown man than deal with Sharp for another day.Bye Felicia.
Keep on looking. These folks are the worst in customer service and are unable to consistently deliver propane. Even before the recent winter storm here in Texas, they have been unable to reliably keep our tank filled on the auto fill program. The handful of times we have run out, youve got to contact customer service (with unusually high call volumes), leave a call back number, plead with an unempathetic employee reading a script, and then wait several days for a delivery. Not sure theres a decent propane delivery company out there, but this is for sure not one of them.
WORST company to deal with!! If you want to always have propane, steer clear. We’ve been Sharp Propane customers for 10 years and in that time they have failed to maintain and keep our tank full. We are part of the program that is supposed to monitor your levels to make sure you never go empty....what a joke!! Sharp was bought by another larger company recently and they are pathetic at best! Rude customer service, snarky comments and an overall failure to listen. We have been without propane for the last SEVEN days!!! I have 3 children who FROZE this past week during the worst storm in decades, thanks to then failure of this company. They make no attempt to return calls, we call over and over and over. Today they tell us the roads are too dangerous. BS!! They are clear and perfectly fine to drive. I’ve seen other propane companies out taking care of their customers. As a company, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. I know we are not alone in this, I’ve spoken with SEVERAL people who are in the same boat! Oh yeah, this new company also failed to tell its customers that their payment system switched over and autopay would no longer work!! Autopay for TEN years and suddenly you stop with out telling your customers??? Also, know several people this happened to, so I’m sure there’s plenty more. Avoid this company at all costs!! You failed us BIG TIME!!
We have been a long time customer of Sharp Propane for years and on their Auto Fill program. They did not keep my tank full and now Im down to dangerous levels and have called numerous times to get refilled, have been promised call backs, have been promised delivery, and havent heard back from them on why that delivery hasnt happened. Signed a very unhappy customer.
We have been out of gas for a week now during the worst winter storm Texas has ever had. They said March 1 for the delivery which is 2 weeks from when we called. All of our neighbors have had their propane filled by other companies. They even said that the roads were bad for the drivers to drive in. Its 71 today in Austin and the roads are completely DRY. I also just got yelled at on the phone but their customer service rep because I asked what was taking so long. Almost laughable how bad this company is.New update: they are not delivering on weekends. Hello sharp! Every other propane company is out there delivering to get their customers heat. Major fail ferrel/sharp gas.
I gave them one star so that google would post this. Really they deserve ZERO stars! When we started with them we were on autofill but they decided to switch us to call when needed withOUT telling us. So we walked into our house after work one day to the smell of gas. Took them OVER 2 days to fill our tank on their emergency fill and still charged us an extra $200 for the emergency delivery fee. Then 2 weeks before the storm came we order another fill. It is now 4 weeks later and they have no clue when they will get to us. Do NOT use this company!!!
I had a gas leak in the spring and they put me off for months to come out and look. Now in the winter I am out of propane due to them changing the automatic fill policy without alerting me. I called multiple times yesterday for a supervisor and didnt get a call back. They have said numerous times they are understaffed and apologize but having 2 kids without propane is ridiculous and to be told it could be 7 days. I am switching my service today. Called a new provider and they will be here within 2 hours...
ZERO stars! My mother is without any gas and she called AND paid over a month ago. This delay has nothing do to with the freeze because this is VERY typical behavior for months now! I don’t even expect to get an answer out of this because you never do anything anyway TERRIBLE MANAGMENT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE do not even LOOK into this company and I am not going to stop until my mother gets her propane.
Horrible service!!! They left all their residential customers go without while servicing government customers during the ice storm!! After storm they filled me up 30%, and was supposed to fill in 2 weeks, it’s been 6 weeks and still no refill! Have called man times!! Do not go with this company!!!!!An the keep full plan is a joke!
They got bought out by a larger out of state company (Ferrellgas) and customer service is now horrible. Long wait times to call, they forgot about our delivery and we ran out of gas. They also take 2 months to invoice you, which isnt bad, but shows you what a mess they got going on. Switch to a local company, we did!
Sharp forgot about us and we ran out of propane. They dont answer their phone, even if you call their emergency line. I am not satisfied with my service.
No response to over 50 phone calls. Out of gas. Horrible
Walked inside and smelled gas in the house. It is because we are that low on propane. We are on auto fill but the last delivery was November 11. Today is January 18th.
Customer on keep full program. Run out and without propane for 3 days a month ago, again running out today in the coldest weather in Texas in 30 years, Even as I called them before the bad weather started and asked for refill since my tank was running low.
Horrible experience. Irresponsible, unreliable, and overpriced.
Weve been with Sharp for years and were happy, but since they were recently bought by Ferrellgas the service has been awful. Were switching to another provider.
Been trying to get someone out here since last week. No answer. Now the driveway wont be navigable until end of week, but cant contact anyone to try to schedule. NOT happy.
We have been out of propane for over a week now. Their main number is disconnected and I have called 3 other numbers and they all say Ferrell Gas. We are on an auto refill and this is terrible service and very unreliable. Time to find another company.
They do not care about customers.
